- Driving around Sydney Australia! I finally made it to Sydney Australia! This has been on my list for a long time. Feels like San Francisco. I've now officially driven on 6 continents. Antarctica is the last one on the list! Anyone who can get me a car there, let me know? 😎

it's the parts of Sydney that you can't drive on that shows how ugly it is (Sydneysider here). Congested and destroyed via a city council as well (utterly pointless bike paths in the city - never used)

@@diamondtiara84 bike lanes taking up one lane of road is fine actually, especially seeing most people don't drive to the city, we have easily the best public transport in Australia

I live in the SF Bay Area and it does look like SF but without the hills and mountains and drug dealers and the homeless people on the streets. Sydney looks so much cleaner. Wished SF streets look like that.

6 Continents... You haven't driven in the Caribbean Islands places like Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Montserrat, Saint Kitts, Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, Barbados, the Bahamas, Dominica, Colombia, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Haiti, Havana, Costa Rica.

Hermosa ciudad, lo que más me sorprende es la gran cantidad de buses o transporte público que hay, así mismo ver a muchos peatones o gente caminando, veo también que no hay sobrepeso como aquí en EEUU que desgraciadamente no existe la cultura o hábito de caminar, mucho menos la gran variedad de autobuses. Sidney es una de las mejores y más hermosas ciudades a nivel mundial...siempre lidera con la mejor calidad de vida y se logra apreciar su desarrollo, modernidad y seguridad.

@@TM56 Yeah, OK. But what were you expecting. Sydney CBD (downtown) is a fairly modern (we did manage to hang onto some old buildings) commercial centre, mostly built by private enterprise. Most big cities are fairly generic, apart from their historical and locational aspects. Even London (UK) is getting more office towers.

@@daveydaves9361 You are alluding to a very pertinent socioeconomic question for Sydney! Sydneysiders are very parochial, where inter-district rivalries, even scepticism, is truly alive and well in the Emerald City.
Simply put, if someone lives and works south of the Harbour Bridge, then this Sydneysider would, by and large, have little reason to cross the bridge most of the time.
You would do very well to watch the _Looking for Alibrandi_ movie from year 2000, as these class, culture and race issues of Sydney are explored in depth. After all these decades, the themes portrayed in the movie are just as true as ever. The original novel is even grittier than the movie. 🦘🇦🇺

On October 14, 2023, Australians voted in a referendum on whether to change the Constitution to recognize the First Peoples of Australia.
