- Imagine jumping into a 12,000 foot deep pool... Only you are in the middle of an ocean and being towed under sail! The conditions are absolutely perfect and Delos is a few hundred miles off shore just drifting along in light winds and calm seas. We decide to show the crew a PERFECT DAY AT SEA :) First off we decide to take the girls up the mast and show them first hand the amazing feeling of being aloft while under full sail. Then I have one of my best ideas ever. With conditions ideal we stop for a mid-ocean swim. With sails deployed all the toys come out and we have a surreal experience flying along under water like Manta Rays in the deep dark blue.

I've started watching your videos from the time Nugget was born and I've really enjoyed them. I enjoy the content about the repairs and life with a baby and of course the destinations. It's so kind of you to bring these ladies on your journey, teaching them along the way. They will remember forever

It seems like ages since I've seen an old school Delos video like this. No boatwork, no cold weather, just beautiful seas, beautiful skies and beautiful crew. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. For a second I was expecting Brady and Blue make an appearance.
I hear you ! for quite a while I've been wishing they would bring crew aboard. I certainly respect their reasoning for keeping it to family for a while but it just seems so much more safe, fun and Delosesque to have a bunch of good people together looking after each other!
@@Sommers234 I think they needed some privacy while Sierra was still a new-born baby. Now she is older I am sure she will benefit from having different crew members aboard.
That was a very enjoyable video Brian. I like watching you all but baby Nugs is the cutest little. When she grows up, Brian you will have your hands full being a protective dad. My oldest was a girl. Of course I have grand children now. My oldest grandson is out of high school now. But I have great grand daughters now. Spoiled rotten. lol. Brian give Nugs a hug for me.

This is the first sailing channel I discovered more than a few years ago. It's my favorite. It's not as easy as you make it look I know. Thank you for sharing your family adventures.
I did sail in the Caribian sea for allmost a hole year in 1996, and I cant recall that I did even see seaweed even once. Remember that all corals where healthy and planty off sealife. Its sad that it all changed. Anyway, thank You for a great vlog and stay safe.

Mama used to bring me sandwitches to the tractor in the field. Nothing says you are loved more than getting your favorite sandwitch in the feild.
It's days like this that make EVERYONE want to buy a sailboat and aim for that horizon. It's the rougher days at sea that make everyone want to stay home, munch Cheetos and WATCH other people have perfect days at sea. The deep, endless blue of that perfect water was just spectacular.
It's been 22 years now since I spent most of my days at sea and the one thing I miss the most is the sunrises and sunsets. Thanks for great opening and closing images of the "perfect day at sea!"

"The Perfect Day at Sea"...I think you nailed it with that. I don't think it would be possible to put together a video that better demonstrates what that phrase means. Fun, sun, laughter, good times and the world seemingly a million miles away. I don't know that a person could ask for more. Thanks for taking us their in our heads, if only for a few minutes.

I just looked up sargassum and it’s actually got lots of commercial applications! Make-up, paper, fertilizer, bricks (building) and COCKTAILS! There’s definitely a season for it and it’s mostly in shallow water and around reefs. There’s pages of information about it being a necessity for the ongoing health of the oceans too---
The subwing part was amazing. Delos always discovering new activities. Love it.

I've been relegated to the terrestrial realm for long and must admit that I take great delight in everything that you folks document and share. I particularly liked that bit about Sargassaum... those sargassum-infested waters were quite a sight to behold!

I don’t know if anybody else has said this yet but in the Bahamas we looked for those big patches because dolphin or dorado almost guaranteed to be hanging out under those patches so that’s why we would cast our lines up to the edges and frequently catch some really nice mahi or even wahoo

Towing ya'll under light sail looked like a blast! Guaranteed to put smiles. We had kids tubing behind a j105 in Annapolis a number of times and that put an end to " I'm bored can't this boat go any faster" .
YO Am I the ONLY one who's thinkin of that scene from that movie Waterworld with Kevin Costner who jumps of the back of his boat and used his body for a bait to catch a monster fish??? I mean Delos fishes off the back of the boat all day. Which means there are BIG fish out there that can ACTUALLY eat you fer real fer real...... and I dunno call me crazy but I just REALLY don't think that looks like fun for ME personally THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Nice...... video. I just don't know if I should be jealous of or sad for Brian. Definitely a great video and a good it to play. Do to the wind. The key is to not expect or demand the wind to do what you need. It will never do that and you will get very unhappy. Just play and weight for the wind to do what you need and it take time its going to but it might take some time so you just have fun 👍. Great video showing that. Thanks Brian.
