Well done Darren, what a lovely walk.... superb views.... I used to regularly go to Chew Lake, when I was growing up.... used to camp on a friends farm over that way.... it was fab. 😊
Thanks Dani, the more i use the camera the less mistakes and glitches i am getting. it feels like the Vlogs are becoming more natural. i think i am sort of finding my own style if that makes sense. thanks for your comments as always mate. Best wishes Darren👍👍👍
Wow, you really can see for a miles, I don't think I've seen all those locations in one shot ever before! Very well worth the climb. Congrats on making the climb. P.S The DJI mic's are very good (I'm always surprised at how good) at handling wind - could hear you clear as a bell all the way through 😊
Thank you Jesse, yes its amazing what you can see from the batch, the views are very good. yes i was also quite surprised how the Mic coped because it was very windy, i was worried at the time but it was fine in the end. Best wishes Darren👍👍👍
You're a brilliant source of inspiration Daz. Great video! I haven't done much on the Mendips on my channel yet. Loved to do some walking in that area. Some stunning views from there, over places I am familiar with. One of your very best videos to date, I think. Take care, Paul
@westcountrywanderings wow paul, thank you! It's always a great place for views and of course as we well know if we have a beautiful subject we can create decent footage, your support is very appreciated Best wishes Darren 🙏👍👍👍
That was a lovely walk Daz. Bit muddy in places but nice clear air. We haven't been up there for a while. Did you know that the Beacon Batch area was used as a decoy town for Bristol in WW2. We once also saw wn Adder up at the top one Summers day. As well as Bristol Airport you could also clearly see your home village. Evn though its not a very steep walk up it is a long hill walk & i always get out of breath by the time i reach the summit. 😊😊
hi Martin its a nice walk out! yep i did know about the decoy town mate i mention it towards the end on the video. i went up from the top car park so not quite such a long walk but much steeper. i love it up there on a clear day. you can see for miles. thanks as always mate, Best wishes Darren👍👍👍
Nice one Darren 👍 A beautiful day for it. We used to stay in a campsite nearby and enjoyed many a walk up to Beacon Batch. Sometimes you can see ponies.
Thanks Nicola, yes Ponies and the rare huge beef cattle, they were a no show that day but have seen them up there before. its such a lovely place on a clear day Best Wishes Darren👍👍👍
Another lovely and interesting video. I feel like I have just been on that walk as I sit here with a coffee and a cake. I was huffing and puffing watching you walk up there and I have 2 lungs 😁 I wonder if there are any unexploded incendiaries buried up there? What did you buy to film because each video I can see lots of new techniques and it's really good. Take Care Darren 🥾🥾♥👋
Thanks ever so much Claire, i feel i am starting to find my Niche at long last. this is what i want to try and achieve with my Channel is to sort of take people on my walk with me, so i am glad that it is starting to work. i had a great comment from Paul who said it was one of the best i have done. so this is great for my confidence and motivation. i am now using a Dji Osmo Pocket 3 with full Accessory pack. i am finding my way around it still and learning all the time as i go with each video. to be honest it can be a little Glitchy but i am working that out as i go. so glad you enjoyed it! best wishes Darren👍👍👍❤
Well done Daz …. You did it ! What a beautiful clear day …. Spectacular ! Xxx
@JulieKirby-q7c it was lovely up there today and pushed my legs and lungs, just what I needed, thanks as always, best wishes Darren 😀
