  • WARNING: This video contains strong language. ⚠️ A Bibb County Sheriff's Office S.R.T. Unit deputy takes a wanted suspect who was driving over a 100 mph and ignoring traffic signals during a pursuit into custody. Once in Houston County, the driver jumped out of his moving vehicle with a gun and attempted to run away. As you can see in the video, the suspect ignored eleven commands and warnings from the deputy before he was eventually tased and taken into custody. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputy recently attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Land Rover Discovery that appeared to be racing another vehicle down Pio Nono Avenue. The driver of the Land Rover refused to stop and exceeded speeds of over 100 mph, continued driving recklessly, and ignored traffic signals. The wanted male drove into Houston County and jumped out of the moving vehicle with a gun, running away on foot, after driving in circles. The driver was taken into custody after he jumped several fences in an attempt to escape and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 21-year-old faces charges of Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Felony Obstruction, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of Felony, and numerous additional charges. He also has several outstanding warrants out of Houston County. An 18-year-old passenger inside the Discovery was also taken into custody and faces charges of Felony Fleeing and Eluding and Misdemeanor Obstruction. #SwornToProtect #BCSOStrong
