It's also because people like him. If people didn't, then this would be twisted into something negative like "thats it? No information?" "What about the others who bought it?" "You didnt explain it why it came out powdery white, people have allergies, its a gealth hazard, we need to know!" It has happened before with appologies like these where the public dislike those people from the get go.

patrick was sincere and took responsibility, gisou took their demographic into account to let them know “hey! we’re sorry that this is happening, this is what we’re changing, and thank you for bringing it to our attention!”, and veronavanity sticking up for herself against such a huge creator buying a knockoff product is just incredible to me. hearing that people are taking accountability (in patrick and gisou case) and sticking up for their work (veronavanity) is just so nice to hear after all of these excuses we’ve gotten time and time again. thanks for this video, you did an awesome job covering these topic and creators.

People that consume influencers content know they have platforms that’s often why they support the brand so anytime something big happens you’re talking about a niche that are going to be more likely to post it whereas for smaller brands they don’t sell as much so there aren’t as many reviews out there positive or negative. Patrick apologised because the brand is his baby. He's been involved at each and every stage of formulation, production, packaging and delivery. Unlike others who just loan their name to a bulk manufacturer and call the brand theirs.

Honestly Patrick just did what any CEO should do and what a lot have done in the past. We’re just living in a time where influencers can’t/won’t take any responsibility to avoid backlash and that’s why no one takes influencers seriously as business people. They’re so immature and quick to pass the blame on someone else.

My theory on this: Everytime a handful of new beauty launched products go bad, i think defected ones are put in there for a reason. So ppl can share negative videos n it brings more attention to the product, capatalizing on negative publicity. An influencer makes apology video gains millions of wows of their fans when in reality they the ones who orcherasted themselves. Thats the fastest way of selling ur products

It seems like Im waking up after so many years eagerly buying whatever “revolutionary” makeup product beauty influencers came up with.
Yes, I was young and immature, and would fall for any product they would say was a “must have”. I could have saved thousands of dollars. Really, its in the thousands.
But now I see these useless products, just completely unnecessary and Im just so relieved I have no desire whatsoever to spend a penny on whatever new scam they come up with. Like, no one needs that contour thingy! Or even a lip oil!!!! All I see are unnecessary cash grabs. I had to learn the hard way but I guess I have learned I dont need to buy whatever product social media tells me to buy anymore. I worked way too hard for my money for these influencers to pocket it with these craps they come up with
