one of the criticisms i don’t like about this movie is when people say “there’s too many deaths in the first and second one”. like bro peter’s whole life in the comics has been about life tragedies. in fact all three spiderman trilogies only represent a quarter of what peter actually goes through. so idk why people say death makes this movie bad. it is pretty bad but just for different reasons.

You say that as if Spider-Man comic fans love that his life is just torture p0rn now. He was actually happy a lot in the 80's and 90's before Marvel decided his life could _only_ be tragedy. It all started with that damn deal with the devil erasing his family and then it goes down hill from there.

Definitely, he, or more specifically his stunt man, defined how Spider-Man moves the same way Michael Keaton did Batman with the Bat-turn. The video games and animated stuff heavily pull from this series, and it's kind of sad how toned down he is in the MCU.

Except Max’s design. They did him dirty with that comb-over.

One of the biggest and tragic moments from this movie is that the movie’s ending covers the comic book issue The Night Gwen Stacy died because I actually had no idea that one of the most well known characters from the Spider-Man comics got killed off when I went to see it in theatres.
One of the best Spiderman movies to date. The action, emotions, drama, and characters acting were all just amazing. Fun fact: The part where Gwen shouts "PETER" was not a part of the script, it was a genuine reaction from the actress...the writers went with it because if how good it was.
Feels so nice to see this film get the love it finally deserves after so many years of undeserved hate. ❤

I really feel like only Rob really understood Gwen's character throughout this series. She's a literal hero who was essential to saving the day both times. As said, She understood the system the best and was the best hope of getting it online again so the rest of the city can have power and further disasters can be avoided. She also did save Spider Man, when he was argubally beaten by Electro. Had she not went, its very possible Spider Man and many others die
Tasm 2 suit is the best suit live action up to date (yes i think is better than nwh end suit my opinion 🤷🏽♂️)

Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man has a lot of canon events. He lost his parents, uncle, future father-in-law and girlfriend/wife.
This is one of the funniest arguments they have ever had
The venom poisoned Harry cuz it’s only compatible to Parker DNA but the goblin suit healed him. So he probably has some of Spider-Man’s strength and shit but it fked his face and body up
If it helps there's a deleted scene when Peter Visits Harry at Oscorp when he alternatively reveals that he's dying. And he shows Peter the Green Goblin prototype suit that heals the host in the armor at all times. Explaining why Harry was healing while in the suit at the end. They never should've deleted that
Lots we're cut due to test screenings and r rating issues and intended audience some stuff was too scary in test screening like horror movie level for younger audience
There was a scene cut of harry going on a rampage killing people with the gun at oscorp with electro which was leaked on youtube for a bit but got taken down by Sony very quickly nobody got the footage in time was explained by leaker it was cut because they knew it would get it a r rating
Crazy thing is. The original/better ending that forced to be changed from the Goblin fight to Gwen dying was even more darker and brutal than what we got cause of the studios. Goblin ended up physically snapping her neck and Peter beats Harry to a bloody pulp but stops himself. That’s why in No Way Home he was like “I stopped pulling my punches”. That’s another reason why folks on social media wanted the director’s original cut and a sequel after No Way Home came out. Also there’s a deleted scene involving Peter’s dad revealing he was alive to Peter which would’ve had a bigger impact on the movie

That's not a better ending, as the comic true ending makes the most sense due to how it traumatized Peter and changed the way he saved people afterwards. They were always going with the comic true ending, where Peter inadvertently kills Gwen Stacy when trying to catch her by breaking her neck while catching her with a single-point webbing instead of multiple points. Afterwards, Peter beat Green Goblin damn near to death in his grief and vengeful anger.....that was how it happened in the comics and was always the plan in the movie.

Nah Ya’ll Wilden Tho, Like For Gwen, She’s Overall Smarter Than Peter And It Was Literally Peters Fault For Her Death Because Since The Moments He Broke The Promise To Her Dad It Was Already Gonna End Bad. It Was Foreshadowed The Whole Movie Due To Still Being With Gwen And He Didn’t Take Responsibility And This Was The End Result.
It was nobody's fault she saved lives and chose to be a hero just Spiderman does everyday also putting his life on the line. If someone saved a random person on the street they are a hero not stupid. So why is Gwen stupid? If she hadn't come Spidey may not have been able to bring the power back on time and a lot more people would have died including children.
Gwen's one life against all the people on the two planes is a very obvious choice.

feel like most of the hate this movie received was just because of the year it was released. this movie had to compete with the likes of Winter Soldier, guardians of the galaxy, and x-men days of future passed (3 goated marvel films). i bet if they dropped these two movies today, they'd be appreciated a lot more considering the marvel content we've been getting the last 2-3 years

They really toned down Gwen's death here. In the comics, it was the whiplash from Spider-Man's web stopping all her momentum at terminal velocity that killed her. She would've died anyway but the guilt and tragedy comes from the fact that it was undeniably Spidey's web that took her life. All that force from falling stopped immediately, concentrated on the small of her back, broke her spine.
Here, the web flexed so that Spidey could get some leeway with that. They did it so her head whipping on the concrete did her in and if they were a bit higher she might've lived.
The question isn't would she have been able to get to the location or not, she most definitely would have got there, the question is would she have got there in time before Spider-man beat Goblin or Goblin killed Spider-man. More than likely, with all the variables not in her favor, she would have not got there at the time she did in the movie without the assist of Spider-man because she would've started from a further distance.

One thing to note too is that while its not seen it is said in NWH that Andrew Garfields spiderman after Gwens death stopped holding back his punches. Meaning he did become slightly more darker & ig more lethal of a fighter. So we have an idea of what his time after Gwens death was like. And it wasnt even till NWH until he was properly healed. Given that hes quite grown in NWH it shows he was like this for a few years of his life. If they ever decide to make a 3rd movie it should definitely be abt the aftermath of Gwens death. Best part abt it is that the tone would be much darker, I wouldnt even be suprised if hes killed a few villains 😂

Yeah there's a 4 way intersection by my house with a disabled traffic light and it gets mad backed up, it's a main street so all 4 streets are full and each street has to wait their turn one car at a time, with the occasional asshole who goes whenever he feels like it, but to put it into perspective that's just one intersection, imagine a whole city.

Pat was right that if Peter let her go to London and not brought her back in his life that she may no have even been there. Nah the reason it's also Peter's fault is because he was literally warned by her dad to keep her out of his life because it will get her killed and that's exactly what happened ... If he never revealed he was Spiderman too, she probably would have never gotten involved in the first place... Super heros can't be judged by the standards of normal people, they have to look past their on selfish desires in order to make the right choices, he couldn't that's partly why something went wrong here... That's why the "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility " line is important
He says how it affected him in NO WAY HOME when he tells Tom Holland Spider-Man that he got bitter and he stopped pulling his punches when it came to villains after Gwen died

I mean Gwen saved two planes full of basically. I doubt how Spidey was gonna pull that off alone with electro. I don't understand why people have a problem with Gwen when she clearly did that for a good cause. If someone saved another person stuck on train tracks risking their life's no is gonna say that's so dumb if they get hurt in the process. They would be a hero. Spiderman himself regularly puts himself in harm's way everytime like any other hero. Why does Gwen not have the right to decide to do the same if it saves people? Ordinary people can be heroes too.
Like there were probably kids on those planes if you put multiple kids on one side and Gwen's life on another side I'm sure most people would choose to save the kids lives

Jaime Foxx in my opinion did great as electro and his villain was pretty darn good... his character is more realistic him being cringe and getting bullied is real shit and it's believable.... if he's all bad ass it's not really compelling and it's not believable for people

I think this is why people don’t like this movie . People that do group reactions talk to much during the main points then get confused on why this character is doing that or why this character is focused on doing that. Even people who do solo reactions I’ve seen just literally talk over the main points and not rewind it to hear what’s actually going on. This is the top 3 best Spiderman movies ever fucking made. Spiderman's life in the comics is always all about tragedy and him overcoming it. There's literally just 1 storyline where it looks like its gonna be good for him but nope! I think iys called Spiderman Big Time
I dont understand why electro is so hated. Like what did you want instead? The goofy starfish head version? This was actually so cool and creative and actually electricity man that peter had to deal with creatively not with brute force. He was kinda tragic too which was cool.
As for green goblin, I mean even in the original spiderman he just split personality but other than that was not anything special. Just a guy with mental issues and stronger than normal strength through a serum and had an advanced.
Well harry is also a guy with the existing diseases who takes something that turns him into the goblin. His was just a bit more physical and painful which us also why he looks messed up. He still has an advanced suit and he was not dead so technically he is yet to be fully explored in that universe.
And rhino is already a more minor villans which usually not much deph for most people so I dont even care about that part.

Ehhhh.....NAH FAM.....This Spider-Man Movie is a miss....This Green Goblin is so MEH, Electro was alright; but I'm not a fan of the boring subplot going on with Peter's parents being some super-important people who had some secret plan thing, which ends up not really amounting to much of anything substantive for the story. And let's not forget the hilariously pointless plane at the climax of the Movie.

I heard the way he stopped being spider man was weird, he was on vacation and they called in for a meeting, but he was in vacation and didn’t go, so they kind of fired him, which is sad because he rly loved spider man ever since he was a kid, he was a big fan, so fuck Fox, they just fired the Guy because he was on vacation
Tbh I still hate this movie. The problem was they were too busy trying to set up three films at once: sinister 6, asm3 & a vemon spin off that they couldn't concentrate on the film they were doing. The action sequences are fun & Emma Stone & Andrew make the best of what they were given but I hate the stereotypical "nerdy villain gone insane" trope. The had wayyyy too many characters in this film that didn't matter. Hell they even had to cut out Mary Jane & a lot of other scenes that was in the trailer. In my opinion this is the worst portrayal of Electro, if anything they should've made him like the Spectacular Electro. And even though I don't agree with them killing Gwen if they were going to they should've had the Goblin be Norman & the ONLY villain in the film.
They were going with the comic book Gwen so she had to die and I don’t think harry was rlly a nerd they definitely screwed the movie up with too much stuff at once it’s still my fave tho the acting made the best of it
