This song always makes me emotional. A lot of those swifties in the crowd have children now, and they're turning to be lil swifties too. She has come so far. She just is the greatest and most powerful and charismatic artist of this generation.
I think it’s beautiful that she wrote this song so early in her career. If that was as famous as she ever got she was already so grateful. I can’t imagine how special it feels for her to sing this now on the eras tour. Makes me cry every time 😂
..she wrote this song in dedication to her band & her fans..this song was added to the Eras Tour setlist on its 40th show in Kansas City on Speak Now (Taylor Version) release day & remain onwards (original Eras Tour setlist has 44 songs..so now it's 45)... This song is one of swifties national anthem & after 13 years, some lyrics she wrote in the song has come into fruition..childrens of swifties have become swifties & we have stood by her enduring the test of times 😊😊😊 💙💙💙💙💙

This has been her band from the very beginning in 2006... with a few changes on some background singers... but most of who you see on stage are still with her today... especially her lead guitarist. That dude is awesome.
only me and god knows how hard it was to graduate after i became a widow all of a sudden and this song playing on my graduation day almost KILLED me. my friends did everything and i wouldn’t be here without them. this one really REALLY hurtttssss and heals at the same time!
I was at the KC show when she surprised everyone and added it to the setlist. When I tell you I sobbed and hyperventilated….I mean it. This song is everything to all the people who danced around their room to old Taylor Swift albums as kids, including myself. I’ve been a fan since 2006 when I was 8 years old. And now at 25 I still get emotional hearing this song. I kept my promise of sticking by her forever ❤️🔥 never plan on breaking that!
Taylor swift said that her songs always fall on three pen-inspired categories; fountain, glitter gel and quill. Most of her music is in the fountain pen which they are personal stories written like poetry, and then quill which they are as she said “ like you are a 19th century poet crafting your next sonnet by candlelight”, and then glitter gel which they are songs that are fun to sing, dance, and throw glitter around.
I took my 3 adult daughters to one of the Las Vegas Nevada show (her second stop.) Close to 70,000 fans scream/ singing every word to every song was so amazing. I can't wait to hear your thoughts after the show. PS- take good standing shoes, we only sat down during a song at about 2 ¹/² hours in.
First, you look very handsome & that's a perfect "Lover" Era fit! (Your wife will agree!) And yes, in most cases, no matter how good the studio version is, most of Taylor's songs are elevated live! As always, thanks for letting us enjoy your journey friend!

She was always prenaturally talented as a Songwriter but she has truly grown into one of the all time greats. I've been a fan since she was about 21 and folklore just knocked me on my ass.
Wait till you experience this song on the Eras tour! You cant get through it without shedding a tear for everything shes overcome and all the fans who have stood beside her! Its a song to celebrate us and it still applies if not even more today!!
It is really amazing to me how exact to the original the re-recordings are; looks like they overlaid it on tour footage that wasn't used for the 2011 Speak Now Live DVD, so not copyrighted by Big Machine.
I like that you reacted to both. You can tell the difference in her voice. Taylors voice now, in my opinion, sounds so different with age and years of experience.
Please react to her doing this live at the eras tour. She added it to the set after the Taylor’s Version for the album speak now was released in July. It was originally not part of the set list, but it’s a fan favorite as Taylor wrote it for her band after they won the first Grammy, and since she has said it will a,ways be for the fans because of how we stuck with her through the years. It’s always a treat when she performs it live and fans were quite upset it hadn’t been part of the original set list.

I saw Taylor in LA a couple weeks ago..most amazing show I have ever seen. It was an EXPERIENCE( I have seen GNR, Metallica several times, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Michael Jackson...). Hope you enjoy the show. It was worth every penny, and then some...it's so fun seeing people discover her talent for the first time.
Haunted is my favorite song too! I think that musically, one that comes close is The Lakes, specifically the “original version” (not the version that was released on the Folklore album). You should definitely give it a listen on your journey!
I feel the same way about the sparkly guitar. I’m pretty sure it was a similar guitar (less iridescent/rainbow sparkles…more pure silver/clear sparkle) that she plays in the music video for Our Song (with the black gloves and headband…still my favorite look of hers, to this day) that inspired me to buy a guitar right after I graduated high school. Love her, love your reactions. Keep ‘em comin.

For her Eras show, her parents put all the crystals on her sparkly guitar for the show! I thought that was really preschools and special. It’s so funny because there are so many things you have in common with my husband. He is a tabletop gamer and now out 13 yo son is too. He wants the same line you mentioned for a tattoo.
In case no one said it, Long Live is on the Eras tour setlist! She just didn't add it until Speak Now (Taylor's Version) came out so that might be why you didn't see it on there if you looked before
