Yeah the city didn’t like the size we had it or where it was, we had to move and downsize the coop. BUT I will admit it is nice to have a smaller coop now, we just have to make sure we let the girls out to free range sometimes to make up for the run being cut down to 1/4 the size it was 😂. They still love it though, I’m definitely happy with it!
I raise live millworms and they are full and don't pop like straws. But I agree that if you buy them from a store that they are dried out. I would be interested in live fly larvae but nothing dead in a bag. Good video. Have a blessed day
I would imagine raising them yourself is much different. You get to control what they eat and they don’t turn into these little wormy straws 😂. I’ve seen people raising the black soldier fly larvae too! We raise worms for compost but I’ve never thought about raising anything else, maybe I will look into that! I get live BSF in my compost bins, the birds love them. I would stick to superworms for pet reptiles but the extra calcium is these would be nice for chickens. Pretty fatty but calcium uptake relies on fat soluble vitamin D so that's nice too.
I feed them these and they tackle each other for them. It’s hilarious!
