Hi Howard, you have amazing content here which helped me a lot. I am so glad that I found your page and followed you. I had my Part 3 test today and I passed it at first attempt. Thanks to you sir. Keep up with good work. Because I passed my test that I am not going to unfollow you. I have a new journey starting now and I still a lot to learn from you. I really do appreciate and enjoy your videos. Thanks again Howard.
Hi Howard, Thank you for another amazing video. Very helpful. Just one thing is there any chance there can be another camera pointing toward your lesson briefing folder to make it easy for us to see and follow what you are discribing.
Super little video Howard on something we come across in most lessons everyday. I liked the way you adapted the plan following the mistakes which your pupil made. I also liked the way you got your pupil to self analyse and come up with her own solutions (with just a bit of prompting). Keep those videos rolling please - they're so helpful
The traffic light situation was interesting. If it was quite closed, I would still show caution. So many drivers ignore these temporary lights especially in quite roads. I have also never seen a two way road marked like that with the double giveway lines across the whole width of the road. That is how it should be marked if its a one-way. Id love to hear the logic from road planners for this 🤨.
Teaching my daughter to drive.. I love watching these videos, they are really helpful. Would love to do get my ADI, I just have a lot of family responsibilities at the moment
Another great video Howard,I always use your little tips and techniques,I haven't had the new 45 minute standards check format yet so a bit unsure about the length of the briefing at the beginning and debrief at the end
Hi Mr Haword thank you so much your videos I am a PDI your videos are really helpful I have a question when you analysed the fault you didn’t mention how she wants you to help her to? Thank you
Any chance of putting drawing pad in view of camera please (when explaining faults)? Also could you expand on your answer from Christina Adams (what is the purpose of double give way lines?
Some junctions have double give way lines, some don’t. My drawing was just to illustrate the junction we’d just done with the position of the parked car opposite, you didn’t miss too much. I hope that helps you.
Howard, I must have forgotten to ask about the road markings. Have you seen these anywhere else outside your area? because i have never seen them and i've been a professional driver for nealy 35 years, ADI in the past and re qualifying at the moment, DE and CE for over 25 years. We learn something new every day.
Just one quick question. Maybe I'm a bit picky on it but in several pull-ups she's not checking her left side blind spot at all ,and right side blind spots on a few occasions were missed as well am I right?
Hi Howard, thank you for this video. Can I ask please, on a standard check, would it be considered ok to stop as much as you did, to discuss the situation? There's so much info out there that now suggests only pulling up if it's critical, discuss on the move. Keep wheels turning etc etc. Would love to know your opinion on this please. Thank you.
That’s a good point you made Jane. I’m my opinion if this was standard check I would stop the pupil due to the fact it was a critical safety issue and the danger created needed a full chat and explanation from Howard to the would be pupil rather than on the move .
Yes you can pull up to deal with a safety critical, help the pupil understand or change the plan. You should keep it to the point and get moving asap. During COVID we had to keep the wheels moving for ventilation as there were 3 in the car
Hi Howard..we have an enforcement officer who insists the PDI does not pull over and discuss..risks must be sorted on the move ..I do find it frustrating different examiner's do different things in different areas..
what would you have done if you didn't solve the first junction problem and while still fixing it then you have meeting problem. which one would you solve first. r u going to adapt or fix junction issues then the meeting traffic. thanks
Hi Howard, love watching your videos. In this video how was the responsibilities shared as I just seen you talking and asking questions did they ask for prompts thank you
Hi Howard, I am completely confused by the Giveway lines at the end of the 2 way street? I have never seen this and always say to my learners that if they see double giveaway lines on the right, then they are on a one-way street. Please can you clarify this for me! 🤔
@How-2-Drive Why? Is there a reason to do this? Like your lady, I find that a unnecessary confusion that shouldn't be there and is creating a massive hazard and a high possibility of an accident!
Sorry but she shouldn't be on the road. Almost hit the parked vehicle, tried to go through a gap that wasn't there, no mirrors when slowing, too fast (didn't seem to really show that she was going to change her habits) and a general attitude of being unaware of other road users.
I am a pdi and my trainer said I am not proactive. so the meeting situation how could you have been proactive because it suddenly happen. but some would say you should of seen the student not looking mirror and not slowing down. so may be should of said slow down or stop. thanks
28:01 Hi Howard, i just find very confusing one thing. On video i can hear you and driver saying this is two way street but give way lines on video seems doubzle across the whole width of the road and for right turn she is not positioning to the right. 28:01. Thank you
@@How-2-drive so two way street has give way double white broken lines at the end across all width?.. I thought only end of one way street have that. Why i am so confused please. I cant even find that on highway code
Heyyy H, I was wondering during the part 3 is it a necessity to get the student to pull up or can this be done whilst their driving? Also, it seems like we have to always endgame with the student + risk analysis!
Keep wheels moving if you’re able to. Sometimes a simple question like, why did you signal right to go ahead at the roundabout. See what they say. Get to root cause and then work with your pupil on possible solutions. If you need to pull up, find somewhere for your pupil so you can have a conversation.
@@andrewtaylor2701 I see why you are confused. The PDI is playing the role of a learner. She is simulating faults so that I can fix and adapt. This is intended as a Part 3 training session, not for Part 2. I hope that helps. It was explained in my intro. Thanks for watching.
@@How-2-drive Hi Howard, I see, thanks for clearing that up. She is one heck of an actress, excellent video then. As I now start my Part 3 training and hopefully Pink badge soon, I’ve viewed many of your videos and find them all very good indeed. Thanks for them all.
