My favorite thing about these is that they have an overall precision to them without being aggressive; like the very tip of the sound is slightly rounded off to avoid any kind of sharpness. That balance makes these really natural sounding to me, never heard anything like it before.
I bought these on last Friday. I am very happy with them. I had thought the shell design would be uncomfortable, but surprisingly they're quite light and comfy. The base is very punchy and fast. Update after 3 months: I love to go to sleep wearing them. The disk design prevents them from pressuring your ears when you sleep on your sides. Very comfortable. I am amazed because when I had seen their design initially I thought they would be very uncomfortable. Very satisfied with the sound and the comfort. I highly recommend these.

Could you by any chance compare their sound to the Ikko OH10? I get it that they're not quite similar at all, but still I believe the comparison may be possible. Especially since both are bassy and V-shaped in tuning to some degree. Sounstage, clarity and that feeling of "air" and space between the instruments is what interests me the most. Less pronounced/defined and forward microdetails might account for a bigger perceived sounstage due to the way that loudness and "sharpness" of sounds are interpreted as spatial clues by our brain.
You never reviewed Final Audio E4000 (Not the 3000 and definitely not the A4000 ). As being said this IEM is heavily regarded as IEM version of 800S. It's cheap at around $129. If you can Please take a look at this and compare it with IEMs like KATO/Audio Legacy 3 or 4/Aria/ER2XR

I'm currently using the dt990 pro's over ears. I'm interested into switching to IEMs but kind of afraid I would prefer the sound of my current 990pros. I know the soundstage on headphones are better, but regardless of the stage. Would the 7Hz Timeless feel like an upgrade to me or would I be disappointed? Also to mention I love all kinds of songs coming from rap to metal, and I also play games alot, so I would like to know if these had alot of details and clear sounds like my current ones or better? Hmm I kinda wonder the same, I had the DT990 Pro but now have Philips Fidelio X2R. But honestly, both headphones never "impressed me" while the IEM's i have: Shure SE215 do impress me from time to time. And that's the reason I am interested to switch to IEM's for my PC as well. Besides that the MMCX connectors my Shure IEM's have are the same as the 7HZ Timeless. Switching to Wireless with a true wireless adapter is a nice additive you can have with IEM's as well.
Thanks for long waited review :) Probably a game changer in the sub 500$ category Money probably goes in R&D and their future investments but I am not a huge fan of ascetics and of the red color. It may targets gamers but it does not look great for conferencing or in transport. I love Dynamic drivers bass. But overall, the speed and clarity of planars are in a league of their own. I wonder if we could have a DD for bass+planar for rest of the frequency range. Tempting to order :)
It definitely doesn’t drive them to their full potential, but they run perfectly fine on my BTR-5 when on the go. They benefit tremendously from a better source with cleaner power tho. I drive them in my home listening room with either my THX-789, and more often than not, my Singxer SA-1. But truly, they are completely competent when driven even from the ‘humble’ little FiiO!
No, Oracle is still better tuning and sounds more natural, but detail wise they are the same. Timeless is better value for sure being only half the cost of Oracle

I'm looking to upgrade from my Moondrop Starfields, one thing that I don't like about it is the slow bass (bass quantity is ok, even though I'd might prefer a bit less mid-bass). You said in your review that the 7hz bass attack was a bit soft, does it feel nearly as slow/mellow as on the Starfields? Thanks to anyone able to shed a light on this :)
They don't have a slow bass at all. They actually have some of the fastest bass you'll find. But the bass lacks some of the initial impact though it's not that bad.

Also, I find that they REALLY translate anything lacking in production; that is to say, if the recording mix/level is weak, it's reflected in the playback through the Timeless. AND, the source really matters. Like my phone vs a computer! Wow!! They can handle the power!!

I think the only reason I can recommend Kato or Oxygen would be timbre. If people want a more natural timbre, Dynamic Drivers are better. Timeless does have the planar-ish feel but although not as prominent.
@@GizaudioProbably, I've heard that the Timeless's timbre isn't the most natural but it straight up beats every other sub $300 when it comes to sheer resolution. Strongly consider this and the Hana 2021 when 11/11 drops next week.

I had to sell my dusk due to it being too bulky. The weird shape and the big size of the timeless is the one thing stopping me from getting em. If I got these and they dont fit me well, I will lose money on the resell. I wonder why do the good ones always have to be big and shaped so weirdly

@@gringle8578 personally i like the kato more. Dusk is slightly more detailed and slightly better in technicalities while the kato is more musical and smooth. For me the kato is a more enjoyable listen. Do note that the bass impact on the kato isnt the greatest but the texture and decay is great.

I'm speaking from limited experience here but i recently tried the Moondrop Aria and the Sennheiser IE 300. It seemed to me that once you get into the 200-300 dollar range anything under the 100 dollar mark can't really compete. That's not to say they are not great for their price point but I wouldn't worry about missing anything if you just go straight for the timeless.

Love these things. Question: I'm currently driving them with my Fiio X7 first gen using the AM3D (thx) amp module. No complaints with the sound, but damn it, this Dap has gotten old. Sluggish Ui and the battery life is just terrible. Thinking about getting a Shanling M3X now. Can I expect similar sound quality or am I gonna feel the fact that I am giving up 250 mW of balanced power?

Im sorry what? I own a ton of iems i clhding the Z1R, I tried the 7hz...for the price its good but saying its comparable with the Z1R is a daring statement.

@Stanley Chen I also own the Monarch, Legacy 4, original Andromeda, and Ultimate Ears 18+ CSX gen 3. Monarch is my favorite followed closely by the Timeless.
Its not noticable to the ear on my set and most others. I imagine that the channel imbalance implies unit variance so other sets may sound better or worse than mine and have more or less channel inbalence as well. Potentially to the point where it becomes detrimental to the sound quality.
@@GizaudioVE Elysium, Tia Fourte and Solaris LE. I think we hear differently too. The Dusk is way too shouty and thin for me with an offensive BA timbre.

I would say the timeless is the one to get if you have the money. I have not heard the aria but the timeless is clearly going to be more resolving.

Great review, especially the comparison with variation. Does the timeless fare well with orchestral and violin solo kind of music? I’m starting a budget iem review blog and is trying to find a very good one to calibrate my rating system. FH3 is there, but I’m looking for something even better. The best so far is 64 audio u18s, but its price is insane.

The Timeless really is that good. It's the reason I decided to return the Sony Z1R. Comparable upper detail and cleaner crispier bass.
Im sorry what? I own a ton of iems i clhding the Z1R, I tried the 7hz...for the price its good but saying its comparable with the Z1R is a daring statement.
@Stanley Chen The Z1R is overrated. Way too bassy and detail that's not $1500 better than the Timeless. Both were properly driven.
@@astifcaulkinyeras guess its just up to our individual preference, that being said the Z1R isnt my go to daily driver anyways haha and yes in Singapore it cost me $2200, way too crazy of a price to warrant a purchase for most considering I have the Monarchs as well and if I'm being honest, Monarchs stand out more for me.
@Stanley Chen I also own the Monarch, Legacy 4, original Andromeda, and Ultimate Ears 18+ CSX gen 3. Monarch is my favorite followed closely by the Timeless.
The bass..
Heard there was severe channel balance issues with these.
Its not noticable to the ear on my set and most others. I imagine that the channel imbalance implies unit variance so other sets may sound better or worse than mine and have more or less channel inbalence as well. Potentially to the point where it becomes detrimental to the sound quality.
"The Blessing twins are better", yeah you lost me there. The Dusk is the single most unnatural IEM i've heard.

@@GizaudioVE Elysium, Tia Fourte and Solaris LE. I think we hear differently too. The Dusk is way too shouty and thin for me with an offensive BA timbre.
I agree, I even ended up liking my starfields way more than my dusks
The problem with the Blessing is, it losses all composure and cohesiveness on complex music
@@anuragsaha145 idk about that. I just didn't like the weird metallic timbre it had. It always shocks me how nose blind iem reviewers are to it, I think they've just tried so many iems that they don't notice it anymore
World best? Thin sounding, bass lacking, no punch or wow factor / differences vs BAs and dynamic drivers. Sold it after a week of test.

@@Ghost_Freaked tengo unos Audiosense AQ 0 y busco mejorar un poquito la realidad en vivo y un poquito de dinámica en sub y bajos. Son muy buenos auriculares pero busco mejoras, y estos 7hz parecen demasiado analíticos y con bajos secos
