Question for Geoff! The huge stainless tankers, do they hold milk liquid, or powder? Are they heading to Christchurch from the Hokitika dairy company full or the opposite way to Hokitika for processing? Someone made a comment that I need clarified as it was contrary to what I thought!
@Kiwigeo Our property is right next to the track and each evening the large Stainless tankers go by on the end of the train heading to Christchurch! Standing at Countdown one night the train was waiting and those tanks are huge!
I tried(talking to my L E mate but hes pretty much against the idea. Says you''ll have to get managers permission to do it. He sounded quite negative 😕

I'm picking that wasn't the original sound for that track. The engine was at idle most of the time , but another enjoyable video 👍
That actually was accurate sound Rodney , recorded seperately , to within a second for the entire video , the engine was at idle a lot...
Ever thought about getting a GoPro onto a logger leaving Murapara for Kawerau? Steep grades,big trains......
Find me someone to get one on a train and i ll do it immediately, I intend to drone some loggers soonish.
