    We have the Penny books and my girls LOVE them! We found them when my oldest first learned how to read and they were sweet books for her to practice reading on her own. I hope your daughter loves them just as much!

    That all looks so great! Do you ever find it to be an obstacle that MUS doesn't go over some of the "grade level" things? Such as, Alpha, doesn't really touch on measuring, much time, or money?

    • @CalledtoCultivate
      @CalledtoCultivate 3 роки тому +1

      So far it hasn’t been an issue. Since we hope to homeschool through high school, I know that they will learn those things along the way. They do incorporate money, measuring, and conversions more so in Gamma. Maybe if a family was only homeschooling for a year and then planning to go back into a brick and mortar school school it might be more of a concern. We have a money board game and time board game that also help us review those concepts in a fun way. I hope that helps! 🤗

      @@CalledtoCultivate Definitely helps! Thanks! I'm hoping to homeschool for the long haul...but my husband isn't totally certain on his feelings so...I'm just praying about it. :)

    My daughter is 3 and we will be starting preschool this year. May I ask what, if anything, did you do with your 3.5 year old?

    • @CalledtoCultivate
      @CalledtoCultivate 2 роки тому +1

      How exciting! Well I have to say that what I did with my oldest when she was 3.5 vs what I did with my current 4 yr old looks very different. 😂 With my daughter we used Heart of Dakota preschool curriculum to give her a foundation for letter recognition and sounds as well as some basic math. We enjoyed it and it also incorporated a biblical foundation and plenty of fun. As our family has grown, preschool has become less structured and more play focused. They tend to learn a lot naturally by being around their older siblings. That said, I am planning to do a pre k curriculum with my 4.5 yr old this school year. He wants to be involved in doing school with the older kids and I think it’ll be a good fit for him. In my opinion preschool should be fun with lots of learning through educational play, exploring, and games. Also enjoying reading lots of books together! Every child learns at their own pace, so take your daughters lead and make it a positive experience. 🤗💕 I also have these two videos sharing more preschool specific recommendations:
