This man arguably did something that no one else in human history has ever done. He delivered the Gospel of Jesus Christ to over two billion people in one day. Incredible.

It was a false message that sounded all “nice”. He didn’t die so that we would all love. He died to save us from His wrath to come. We’re all born into sin and we need to repent and believe that He’s the only way to be saved.

The Episcopal Church is very blessed to have Michael Curry as our presiding bishop. He is amazing and down to earth. I've heard him give a sermon before and he is just like he was at Harry and Meghan's wedding ceremony.

I agree! I asked our priest on Sunday how hard it would be to get Bishop Curry to come speak at our church in Texas. Unfortunately he's probably really busy.

Bishop Curry preached at our Girls Friendly Society Service a couple of years ago. He is so approachable and I had he chance to chat with him after the service and he was like a parish priest.

I was blown away by this mans sermon. I am not a particularly religious person and most sermons (I was brought up in the Episcopal church) were distant and formal and I could never really relate or even keep paying attention. I loved the way he related God and love as one...I loved that it wasn't all about "God has a plan for you, etc." Maybe it's just me, but I have never imagined God as the man floating around the sky noticing every move and thought we have. I could go to this Reverend's church in a fast NY minute. SO uplifting!

As a biracial American woman, it made me so happy to see a fellow biracial American woman exert the black part of her heritage within a traditonally very white space, and to witness Bishop Curry have a principle role in that with his amazing sermon made my heart soar!

DUECE MOMM You just named 3 biracial men only one who openly identifies as biracial and none of whom are British royalty. It is a BIG deal to even have a public figure to openly and unapologetically say to everyone that they're biracial because our background cones with a very unique set of struggles so to have someone like that representing that very specific identity in the British Royal family is monumental!

    • @75smurfette

    • @LuckyLucky-xp2sz

woody wordsmith: You completely misunderstood the spirit Of the comment. I think what has been said simply means that , we all can see progress in this world ( racially) if someone with the ''black blood'' running through her veins is accepted in such a deep rooted white tradition.
I do NOT believe you are not white as you hv said, certainly you are ( there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that) but the fact that you are pretending to be something else is worrying. Your spill out some pain from your heart. Please next time take things easy and you will understand better n you will hv a better response to People's innocent n well meaning comments.

Prophet Kacou Philippe : '' When a man claims to serve God, seek to know the authenticity of his call, his commission and his mandate before seeking to know if what he says or what he does is exact. When God has not sent a man on earth, he cannot recognize the efforts and even the good things of that man. The fact of preaching true does not mean anything because the devil himself knows the Word.''

Writing from South Africa! God bless the Bishop for being such a powerful instrument in His hand (reminded me of 2 Timothy 2:20 a special utensil for special use); a mouth piece for Jesus Christ, displaying in this day and age the same boldness the early church received from the Holy Spirit to challenge, convict and encourage billions of people world-wide. Only God Himself could have orchestrated such a wonder! We heard You, Lord. Love is the way!!!!! Thank you Bishop Curry!

YES and that infallibility is something that we all can have. I strive for it everyday. Bishop Curry is the epitome of not carrying what others think, the only one he cares about is God and there are only two words he is striving to hear in his soul about his work from God, "Well done." I can tell from this interview that he heard those words.

Bishop curry’s sermon was brilliant. I cringed but it wasn’t about the cringe, it was about what he was saying, his meaning behind his words. They were powerful, words of love. He was describing love, describing it to people of faith and of none. It was brilliant I think
EDIT: he was spreading the gospel, the most important message to two billion people. Great job bishop!

    • @jojo94101

He described many more things than love; the industrial revolution, slavery etc. What started as a genuinely good sermon turned into a rant that went completely off topic. He held up a royal wedding for ten minutes so he could ramble on.

I'm British and, although I think this guy is cool, I really don't think he overly fit the wedding.. He's great for an American church but not a royal chapel.
It was a wedding of a couple, not a chance to roast the queen (who had nothing to do with those things) and go all political. He started with the love theme and that was great, then he went off topic which was a lil' rude for someone's wedding..

    • @saiyongdawn7756

Bluewren Reilly It seems that you are into just atending church rituals. For some of us rituals mean nothing; we prefer to hear the true Word of God which teaches, heals and sets the captives free. Rituals don't do that, only the word of God coming from a heart that wants to serve and obey Him will achieve these goals.

I watched the wedding with a lot of people at a block party and sadly most were yawning or getting up during this. He definitely gave that room a new meaning to sermons. You can't see it in this clip, but there's many on UA-cam where Kate quickly turns to look at the Queen's reaction lol lol!

Most grateful to say that this is my Bishop. Heard Bishop Curry in person at our Diocesan Convention a couple of years ago. We are a thinking community that uses reason, scripture and tradition as our hallmarks of faith and approach to Christianity. God Bless Michael Curry, the Church, the Royal Family and, most importantly, the world. Peace to us all.

To me the class in that wedding was Dora.....class in every definition. Poise, grace,strong.....I cried for her when she heard her tears back. And I am proud of the way Charles took her by the hand and walked with her to make her not feel alone.....a billion high fives to that wonderful lady.

Anglicans are also called Episcopalians in the United States and other countries and grew from the independent Church of England, also called the Anglican Church centuries ago....

I think he was brilliant. The stiff Royals needed a jubilant preacher to wake them up. One of the reasons I left the Catholic Church. It was dead.....the congregation was too stiff the sing and worship God. I remember one of the priests had had enough and asked the congregation who they were singing to. He said the church lacked charisma, and he too would be changing his style.

Carl Titmus Maybe not but it certainly has to do with the bride's heritage, does it not? To be fair I think Prince Harry should've been allowed to invite the Obamas and not have been hindered by protocol.
