Watkins fills “several” roles for us and he does things that Emery instructs that we as fans might not necessarily see, so for me he starts as Duran is very much a no9 and subsequently one dimensional which is brilliant as a secondary option… ie supersub UTV

My only disappointment with the window was not replacing Diaby. It was an unexpected deal and surely we could have used the money from the sale to secure a replacement. I think we will have another forward option when Kamara returns. Tielemans can play in a more forward position if required. There was evidence of wheeling and dealing in our summer business. It’s frustrating when you see the dealings of teams including Chelsea. We have the best manager in the league and we play fine football. Emery will navigate our path through the PL and CL.
Agree entirely about Emery, Richard. We'll be good. It is frustrating that teams like Chelsea can seemingly spend to such an intense level compared to other sides performing better in recent years. UTV!
Rogers is more than adequate in covering the 2nd striker-"10" role that Diaby played last season.
@@jimmypopt.v.3037 Rogers has been immense. His display against Arsenal was sensational and he had a strong end to the season. Emery was considering Felix, so he was interested in replacing Diaby who scored 10 goals and had multiple goal assists. Hopefully, Rogers, Ramsey and Buendia can make up for the loss of Diaby
Not sure this counts as a spicy question, but what do you think our first-choice midfield setup is when Kamara is fit? UTV!

I am happy with the Transfers we have done both in and out! Dougie who? LOL As you said it is a long term process. Hopefully keeping us in the upper tiers of the PL and CL in years to come. In Emery I trust UTV

7/10 in the transfer market as we’ve only got Onana in the first team, needed a winger and a defender definitely as who have we got on the wing bar JPb isn’t experienced good enough yet, improved squad depth then we released a few injuries happen not so sure.

For me the transfer window was 8/10....much better strength in depth now. Onana is looking like an absolute brilliant signing along with Maatsen. If we hadn't been hampered by PSR etc and were able to get our hybrid CB/RB and maybe a no10 it would've been a 9/10 at least but we're never gonna get everything we want in one window. I'm happy with it considering the restrictions were under!
