thanks! is there a way to assign orbit object only to specific emitter or group? for example to have the sharks flock to go in a different direction from the fishes after a while?
Awesome .It seems very intuitive and works great on my iMac Pro 10 core machine. The new metal update in Catalina is working great. I actually waited until a few days ago to get the Catalina update and I then got the S22 subscription.. and it works great! I had R20 and now it's all light years better realtime performance. Finally !! I know all you PC cats out there get the full GPU render and playback, , but the Radeon's are doing a great job for playback, which is really great finally . Thanks Insydium for always striving for better. Now I just have to get through a ton of new tuts and it will be digital heaven. It would be super (wink wink) if you guys finished off this tutorial with putting in the "fish" and ocean and lighting just like in the teaser vid.. it's so cool too look at..

Hopefully you figured this out, but just in case I think the answer is that in the alembic, instead of having "Play" selected under it's playback, you need to create keyframes for the beginning and the end of the animation.
This is great. So much more easier than using XP Wind to create school of fish. Also, this method has far more control. Excellent work team.
This is out today yea?
Fantastic! Just did it and WOW!
Is the gpu acceleration apart of today's release?

Can flock be used under a trigger? fields don't seam to do anything.
How would you then rig up fish or birds to this?
with latest version we can't follow this tutorial all settings have changed
Awesome demo.
I Cant find the way to use an Alembic file (aka a preanimated fish and baked to an Alembic) with the xpGenerator, the fish remains still
