- Here's a reminder that our next DLC, Return to Castlevania, is coming early this year!
To get you mentally prepared for some whipping and vampire-slaying, we've created a little teaser giving a nod to the classic Castlevania games and some (very quick) glimpses of gameplay...
We've also opened up applications for streamers and content creators to apply for keys on Keymailer - www.keymailer.co/g/games/164855, but we won't be distributing any keys for a little while.

Don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for DLC before. Can’t wait to return to Castlevania after so long
Just the Soundtrack alone made me so hyped about the DLC. IIRC from the steam page, it says the DLC includes ~51 Songs from the Castlevania Games, so I'm not sure if these songs are the same ones or Dead Cells versions (like the one used on this trailer), or maybe both?
@@KranonIm pretty sure they said theyre using both original OSTs as well as “reimagined” versions
First time since The Old Hunters I’ve wanted any DLC this bad. Oh to hear Bloody Tears in Dead Cells.
@@Kranon I mean, dead cells already has the ability to use different soundtracks in settings (you can choose an 8 bit demake version of the main ost) so it’s probably something that can replace the main soumdtrack

I really appreciate that this 6 year old game still receives regular updates and content DLC. And it never feels like it's content that got stripped from the game just to sell as a DLC. That's how DLC should be done.

I was not born in an era of the NES Castlevanias, but grew up playing SOTN and its era of games- I get chills every time a new teaser drops! I'm super excited for this DLC when it drops.

I got chills. I’m so freakin psyched for this. Ever since the announcement I’ve been playing Dead Cells for like 6 weeks straight to get my muscle memory back.
Same man! Picked It up again since way back in 2018 After I saw the fist trailer for Return to Castlevania, already got 50+ more hrs in, this game Is a legend

BC2 or BC1? Because BC2 is run 3, most people are stuck on BC2 for some reason
@@Bladieblah BC2 was kinda hard for me too till I learned some tricks to help me.
1. Dont aim for the timed doors, aim for the kill count doors
2. Kill every enemy in a level before proceeding. They might drop a valuable item like gold, food or a scroll
3. Choose a scroll build and stick to it. If its Survival, only pick survival scrolls and the occasional Brutality/Tactics scrolls for those 2 scrolls choices and vice versa
4. Dont spend money in the shops for the first 2 biomes. You might get what you want for free
5. Use skills on mobs too. Dont reserve them for only bosses or elite enemies

@@collinsgichuhi8255 I'm a 5BC player but I appreciate the thought. Personally I spend some power scrolls in health and not just only the dual-scrolls, makes for more consistent runs. Shop items are stronger than the ones you find in biomes so I use the shops wherever I find them. Also, I don't use custom mode, but custom mode essentially makes the game easy mode just by always getting what you want at shops (making you consistently way more powerful)
@@Bladieblah It makes sense though to not use the shops in the first 2 biomes because the item quality is lower than in the later biomes but still costs the same.

Words cannot describe how impressed I've been with the marketing for Dead Cells, aside from the love I have for this game.
Keep at it, Motion Twin! My heart is always with you, as are the hearts of many others.
Bats in front of the big door at the start of game make me think it's gonna be an early game oriented DLC, like The Bad Seed, and this makes me hyped for it even more.
I cannot WAIT to see what Valmont does with this one
This game is so damn good. I first played it during a 1 month trial of Game Pass. I only did a few runs and died pretty early and didn't try again. But this past Steam sale I grabbed in on sale with all the DLC and have already put 30+ hours into it. Its so addicting once things click and you figure out the best build strategies
and so what did we see?
1. new locations. we saw a dracula battle room, mob locations and a fountain (I haven't played castlevania and don't know what the fountain does in the original game)
2. weapons. throwing axes, cross-boomerang (? I haven't played, I don't know don't hit), whip and holy water.
3. mobs. bat, live armor (or knight), skeletons, werewolves and harpies (?).
I like how the locations are drawn, I will be glad to play this DLC
This game is truly fantastic I'm glad to see it's still getting love.
Very exciting! If you guys end up doing your own rendition of "Bloody Tears" too I'm going to die of hype.
It's going to be good to be back in Castlevania after so long. Even better since we're going to have the movement controls of Dead Cells!
