Can an international student apply for internships from its first semester without CPT & OPT?
My son did BE at bits pilani with electronics & Instrumentation Major and got GPA of 7.7. Now he is working at Wells Fargo as a SDE for the past two years. He wants to pursue ms in cs at NEU. Is he having chance to get admit with low GPA and non computer background. Please suggest other universities suitable to him. But he is interested to do MS at NEU. Great Video. One question however, am a bit confused with the timeline. You started in Sep 2019, then the fourth semester should have been ending in May 2021, How come then your fourth semester was from September - December 2021?

I'm currently in my 5th sem of my undergrad programme in India. I have already qualified the standardised tests (GRE and Toefl) and have a good CGPA. Currently I want to divert my attention into seeking internships and getting my resume done. @@bhavaniraju2308 I took advantage of the time when college was in online mode. I think Sajag has uploaded a video on GRE prep and mock tests for Gre. For Toefl I watched TST prep videos. Hope this helps!! ✌️

Just concentrated on my studies, workout and diet. Social life became almost non-existent. You can’t have it all. Make your choice!
Hey Sajag, is it true that.... If v do 4 months CPT, then the OPT of 12 months will be reduced to 12-4 = 8 months....or v will get OPT of 12 months irrespective of CPT?
No OPT is independent of CPT period

@@pratyush2604 if you exceed the CPT of 12 months, then you won't get OPT.
But CPT period is independent of OPT!
