Second batch of Leopard II tanks sent to Ukraine by Canadian Armed Forces

A SECOND batch of Leopard II tanks is sent to Ukraine by western allies, the Canadian Armed Forces.
The Canadian Army said the country sent another batch of Leopard II tanks to Ukraine on Thursday, March 16.
This footage shows the tanks being loaded and secured onto an aircraft in Edmonton, Alberta.
“Another batch of Leopard 2s is on its way to Europe as part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s illegal invasion,” read a caption accompanying the post.
Canada sent two other Leopard II tanks to Ukraine earlier this year.

As a Canadian I'm proud to see this effort by the Armed Forces, but like many Canadians I strongly feel we should be doing much more to help Ukraine. There are 800,000 people of Ukrainian descent in my province alone. Ukraine needs more help. Lots more.

Canada has approx. 82 Leopard 2 tanks and an additional 110 Leopard 1 tanks. An undisclosed number of Leopard 2 tanks are deployed with Canadian troops in the Baltic area. A retired Army General stated we could give the Ukraine perhaps 20 Leopard 2 tanks. So far I believe we've given 8. Let's not forget Canada is in the middle of shipping 200 armoured personnel carriers (state of art) to the Ukraine. We've given large amounts of other military material. Canada has done a lot but we can do even more.
