This is basically what happened to me. I was still ugly-crying pretty bad minutes after the episode ended, and my mom was wondering why I was such a wreck. We've spent the last few weeks watching the show from the start; she finally wanted to understand why I was so invested in this show to begin with. We just started the final season and I know for a fact I'll be bawling again, especially with the entire journey fresh in my memory.
When I saw this I burst out crying when the book ends “ It started with a book it ended with a book “ Edit : Thank you for all the likes I never got these much before, I bless you all 💕
That majesty when Twilight spread her wings at the end on the final notes, knowing that she has full benevolent control over her kingdom with her friends, and reaching back into the past to send a student of her own to Ponyville... that was the moment for me. "Always two there are, no more, no less, a master and an apprentice."
If you would go back 10 years ago and say a show about ponies would become popular, people would say you’re crazy and you must be joking. But now looks like the jokes on them, because My little pony: friendship is magic is a fantastic show. Its has an amazing reintroduction to its world and mythology waiting to be explored, the best flash animation since FHFIF, songs that are nice to listen to, and some fun and memorable characters with a good amount of depth. True, I wouldn’t call this a masterpiece, due to having some predictable moments and can be a bit repetitive at times, but that shouldn’t stop people from enjoying it. Plus, I’m amazed how not only how this show not only lasted 221 22 minutes episode in 9 years, which means it lasted longer than regular show and adventure time, but throughout all that time, the main character, Twilight Sparkle, not once have a single love interest throughout the entire series, and no I’m not counting equestria girls. I think everyone should at least give it a watch, if you love shows like the classic powerpuff girls. I’m gonna be generous and give this series a 8/10, since it has its standout episodes. 2010 has been the year remembered for bringing animation television back on top and nice to look back at the shows that revitalized television. From the game changer phenomenon Adventure Time, to the bizarre regular show, to MLP, a show that took an absurd toy franchise and made it a cultural hit.
@ESQUARE the thing is for me that i just started to like this show by watching 3 random episodes on TV last week and a little from equestria girls, i already saw a very cute animation of 9 year anniversary make to celebrate the end of the series and i was shock on how cute they are; and maybe i don't deserve to say this because i didn't watch the show, but it hurt my chest, node my neck, made me cry because it was already over and i wanted to watch, and i know i can watch, but when i know i will reach the end i will experience the same things again and is very hard to endure all of this(P.S. even now when i write this i experience all of these pains)
ESQUARE I don’t know how to put it, but I felt your “generous” rating was underestimating how much quality and effectiveness this show exuded as it stands. I can tell you from years and years of watching this show grow and mature into something astonishing by the seasons that, yes, it isn’t perfect, but what it does right and tries to accomplish it does it stupendously so with its own unique kid-friendly charm that I’ve honestly never seen other shows do. Whatever it’s cons were, the pros far and beyond outweigh them and it’s because of this that I feel this show definitely sits roughly around a 9/10 or even a full on 10/10. Remember, masterpieces can have flaws too, what’s important is how meaningful its virtues are compared to their hiccups, and I truly think My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fits this description wonderfully, especially given its rating.
Sunset Shimmer was in the background during the song! She finally made an appearance in the show. Such a beautiful ending. It couldn't have been any more perfect. And I'm still crying ;_; I still can't grasp that after so many years it's finally over. Truly it was one of the best shows ever made.
I want EQG to end in a specific way... the final villains should be the human versions of Sunset and Starlight. The Equestrian magic that's popping up in the human world is coming through the portal, so to keep everyone safe, it must be closed. But, it can't close while the worlds are out of balance: Sunset has to go back. They redeem the pair-with the help of the Dazzlings and the others they saved before, like Gloriosa and Wallflower. Sunset then says her goodbyes and leaves her friends to start new friendships with the former villains. She and the Dazzlings return to Equestria, ready for new lives in the now-peaceful pony world.
@@evanvison3106 Lauren left the position as lead at the end of season 1, had minimal story influence in season 2, and none at all in season 3, where Twilight becomes a princess. Ergo, what she says isn't canon necessarily.
This ending just seems perfect to me. I'm glad the show ended this way and not with Magical Mystery Cure. I'm ready to look back at this show with fondness while looking forward to Gen. 5.
Sa Ssy They've been talking about it for years. Pretty sure Hasbro currently has it started for release in 2021. There's also supposed to be another made for tv movie coming out next year like rainbow road trip. The IDW comics are also doing a comic run called "season 10". This is the end of the show, but the characters are far from done.

The Writters already adressed that back in 2013: It is not gonna happen. My headcannon: As each one of Twilight´s friends choose it is their moment to "retire"; instead of going to Silver Shoals [or "supervise" things like Granny Smith], they ask Twilight to put them in "Stone Sleep" (just like Rockhoof wanted for himself back in S8E21) one by one. Once Twilight finally starts to become old (or transfers her powers to her chosen_one); she ends the spell so all of them can retire "together". -> Twilight would likely delays things more than necesary for her "retirement" ( because of course she will try to micromanage everything "while she still can" ), so she would not be the youngest, nor the less stressed...
"the writers" you mean Megan? She stopped working on the show awhile ago, and nothing she said back then is relevant to season 9. Jim Miller and Josh Haber are the ones in charge of season 9 for the most part, so they would be calling the shots on that kind of thing. I guess they decided to just make her that way, it's not like they needed to consult with Megan because she doesn't work there anymore.
sadly the way they set it up basically finalizes that she will live past them, she has become just like celestia and luna, earned her wings just like they did, grew like they did. Plus, why would Celestia and Luna “retire” when they would have to just come back and rule when twilight died, personally I just think they will be taking a long time off but eventually return to rule with Twilight.

I wasn't afraid of my manliness being compromised, I just wanted to pay attention to what was going on instead of obscuring my vision with tears, lol. I knew I was gonna be a puddle though so I was sorta prepared, but I broke earlier than I expected
I’m so glad that this epilogue wrapped up in such a heartwarming way. It’s amazing to see how much these beloved characters have grown through the ages, from Pinkie and Cheese being a married couple with their own kid, to Fluttershy and Discord being a couple. The final song we had here is really touching and gets me in the feels pretty good, it moves me tears. I’ll always love and cherish this generation of MLP for as long as I live! :’)
This epilogue hit me hard too... after my recording, the moment I hit stop I broke down in to tears, sadly it wasn't caught on camera, I've just always cried alone, I think I got so used to not crying in front of others that I am just incapable of it now, even though I felt like it during my reaction, it was being forced back by my own instincts. But afterward it was like a dagger to the heart, this show ending has left me heartbroken. I'll forever miss it. But despite it's end, the series will live on in the memories and hearts of all of us watching, gone but never forgotten. And it's time to look on to Generation 5 and see what it has to offer. Man... you can tell I've watched this show too much, I've started making corny speeches like the Mane 6 XD But I don't regret that, I'm proud of being a Brony. :)

Okay. I apologize in advance for how long winded this might be but I feel like I owe it to you and Luffyiscool. I started watching this show in 2011 back when it was just starting to run rampant online. I’ve always been a huge fan of animation and dry humour. I adored this show but for reasons I’m only started to understand later on. This show brought people together it almost felt like it brought people together who felt they didn’t fit in with society and maybe felt alone. It brought us all together. Which is where I started my journey with you two in 2014. I was never a fan of commentary. I didn’t get it, but in 2014 I started watching you two. It felt like we watched the episodes together whenever they came out. You guys helped give me courage and drive to get my own channel going which has just passed 10,000 subscribers!! Thank you for publicizing this journey. I sobbed right along with you watching this. Thank you for being the friend on the couch watching silly ponies do silly things. Watching this the second time around, I am still brought to tears. An amazing world, filled with amazing characters. Six years I've followed MLP:FiM, and for six years it has taught me so much, both inwardly and externally. So many times growing up, I've felt down, and so many times has ponies of all things uplifted my spirirts. It was and still is an awesome journey. May the world of Equestria forever live on in our hearts.
I want to thank MLP for raising me throughout my life and teaching me so many important lessons and messages that helped me think about certain aspects in life through a different perspective. You will always have a safe and special place in my heart..💗
I am so proud to be part of a community of people that together shared this amazing and beautiful journey. Being here since the beginning makes it all the more special. This episode was the *definition* of bittersweet. But unbelievably heart wrenching! A feeling for this show only we will ever be able to understand. The way they made time pass and you see all the characters you obsessed over for so many years, all grown up? And Pinkie with a kid?! How they made the “Last Problem” the first problem that started this whole journey (I could go into so much detail with that) then in the final song, show all the ponies they had helped or inspired over the years. As if it couldn’t have gotten anymore emotional, they had to close the book! It was an incredible way to end the story. Just beyond perfect! Even as the show has ended and the fandom disbanded, we still have the memories to look back on. I hope we will never forget the impact It had on so many lives, and will be just as wonderful for future generations.
I know how you feel bro....trust me. After watching the final episode I think to myself what gonna be next for me because this show changed my life by bringing me happiest. But I realized that even though the show is over I can always relive the greatest memories that this show brought to everyone in the community. I would give you a big hug after seeing you cry. An amazing journey has to have an ending. I’ve been in and out of these episodes the past couple years but holy crap this still hits home. This was a part of my life throughout high school and into college, it’s hard to believe it’s going away.
took me 1 year 7 month to finish. And just finished watching at University day 5 of orientation day. "The Last Problem" really show that I need to get ready and not deny the fact I'll replace the person that once lead me to be what I've become now and lead the person that was once just like me still finding purpose in life

The show's ending is perfect It couldn't have been done better And it certainly couldn't make me smile any harder. We also still have one Equestria girls special left (That i know of).

Its been a wild journey. No doubt the show has a special place in our hearts. And its so ridiculous what was supposed to be a show for girls has gone through and what it has acomplished. I am glad I watched it. I am glad I stayed till the end and I hope a lot of others will appreciate it as well.
My little pony was and will forever have a special space in my heart. ..I started watching mlp around 2013 or 2014 and s 4 was my absolute favorite and still is , I was always so mesmerized by the message it spread and I always found it magical and I even tried to bring it into my own life and my friendships , it was funny since I've had 5 friends who each represented a pony of the main 6 . And around 2016 I've stopped watching mlp and just...got too caught up in other things..now in 2019 I've found it again and I've decided to re-watch it and I'm just so sad yet so happy and proud. ..this is the best ending ever to this amazing show and I did wish it'll go on forever but I suppose that can't happen...I'll always be grateful for everything this show taught me , honestly , never knew I'd get attached to a story this much , but it's the most beautiful story to exist , lots of stories talk about love , or winning in life alone..but barely mention friendships , yet friendship could be the most powerful bond a person can form

The first time I watched this episode, it definitely got me emotional. The way they did the episode as a whole and especially the final song at the end were just about perfect. The show begins with a book and ends with a book. I have no idea how they managed to make this series as good as it was, but it really was as great show. Even with a little turbulence in a few episodes, it really stuck the landing. Most cartoons and TV shows do NOT end on a high note. But I can safely say this one did (I guess you could say it bucked the trend). So here's the thing. The show is indeed over. BUT, show it to others. See what they think of it. You might be surprised.

"the writers" you mean Megan? She stopped working on the show awhile ago, and nothing she said back then is relevant to season 9. Jim Miller and Josh Haber are the ones in charge of season 9 for the most part, so they would be calling the shots on that kind of thing. I guess they decided to just make her that way, it's not like they needed to consult with Megan because she doesn't work there anymore.
sadly the way they set it up basically finalizes that she will live past them, she has become just like celestia and luna, earned her wings just like they did, grew like they did. Plus, why would Celestia and Luna “retire” when they would have to just come back and rule when twilight died, personally I just think they will be taking a long time off but eventually return to rule with Twilight.

I’m so glad that this epilogue wrapped up in such a heartwarming way. It’s amazing to see how much these beloved characters have grown through the ages, from Pinkie and Cheese being a married couple with their own kid, to Fluttershy and Discord being a couple. The final song we had here is really touching and gets me in the feels pretty good, it moves me tears. I’ll always love and cherish this generation of MLP for as long as I live! :’)

This epilogue hit me hard too... after my recording, the moment I hit stop I broke down in to tears, sadly it wasn't caught on camera, I've just always cried alone, I think I got so used to not crying in front of others that I am just incapable of it now, even though I felt like it during my reaction, it was being forced back by my own instincts. But afterward it was like a dagger to the heart, this show ending has left me heartbroken. I'll forever miss it. But despite it's end, the series will live on in the memories and hearts of all of us watching, gone but never forgotten. And it's time to look on to Generation 5 and see what it has to offer.

Okay. I apologize in advance for how long winded this might be but I feel like I owe it to you and Luffyiscool.
I started watching this show in 2011 back when it was just starting to run rampant online. I’ve always been a huge fan of animation and dry humour. I adored this show but for reasons I’m only started to understand later on. This show brought people together it almost felt like it brought people together who felt they didn’t fit in with society and maybe felt alone. It brought us all together. Which is where I started my journey with you two in 2014.
I was never a fan of commentary. I didn’t get it, but in 2014 I started watching you two. It felt like we watched the episodes together whenever they came out. You guys helped give me courage and drive to get my own channel going which has just passed 10,000 subscribers!!

Watching this the second time around, I am still brought to tears. An amazing world, filled with amazing characters. Six years I've followed MLP:FiM, and for six years it has taught me so much, both inwardly and externally. So many times growing up, I've felt down, and so many times has ponies of all things uplifted my spirirts.
It was and still is an awesome journey. May the world of Equestria forever live on in our hearts.

I am so proud to be part of a community of people that together shared this amazing and beautiful journey. Being here since the beginning makes it all the more special. This episode was the *definition* of bittersweet. But unbelievably heart wrenching! A feeling for this show only we will ever be able to understand. The way they made time pass and you see all the characters you obsessed over for so many years, all grown up? And Pinkie with a kid?! How they made the “Last Problem” the first problem that started this whole journey (I could go into so much detail with that) then in the final song, show all the ponies they had helped or inspired over the years. As if it couldn’t have gotten anymore emotional, they had to close the book! It was an incredible way to end the story. Just beyond perfect! Even as the show has ended and the fandom disbanded, we still have the memories to look back on. I hope we will never forget the impact It had on so many lives, and will be just as wonderful for future generations.
The show may be over but Im looking forward to all the song covers that are going to be made for the song in this episode.
So am I. I’ll never stop getting teared up from that song. It has that kind of effect that “Crusaders of the Lost Mark” has, among others.

An amazing journey has to have an ending. I’ve been in and out of these episodes the past couple years but holy crap this still hits home. This was a part of my life throughout high school and into college, it’s hard to believe it’s going away.

"The Last Problem" really show that I need to get ready and not deny the fact I'll replace the person that once lead me to be what I've become now and lead the person that was once just like me still finding purpose in life

Its been a wild journey. No doubt the show has a special place in our hearts. And its so ridiculous what was supposed to be a show for girls has gone through and what it has acomplished. I am glad I watched it. I am glad I stayed till the end and I hope a lot of others will appreciate it as well.

My little pony was and will forever have a special space in my heart. ..I started watching mlp around 2013 or 2014 and s 4 was my absolute favorite and still is , I was always so mesmerized by the message it spread and I always found it magical and I even tried to bring it into my own life and my friendships , it was funny since I've had 5 friends who each represented a pony of the main 6 . And around 2016 I've stopped watching mlp and just...got too caught up in other things..now in 2019 I've found it again and I've decided to re-watch it and I'm just so sad yet so happy and proud. ..this is the best ending ever to this amazing show and I did wish it'll go on forever but I suppose that can't happen...I'll always be grateful for everything this show taught me , honestly , never knew I'd get attached to a story this much , but it's the most beautiful story to exist , lots of stories talk about love , or winning in life alone..but barely mention friendships , yet friendship could be the most powerful bond a person can form

The first time I watched this episode, it definitely got me emotional. The way they did the episode as a whole and especially the final song at the end were just about perfect. The show begins with a book and ends with a book. I have no idea how they managed to make this series as good as it was, but it really was as great show. Even with a little turbulence in a few episodes, it really stuck the landing.
Most cartoons and TV shows do NOT end on a high note. But I can safely say this one did (I guess you could say it bucked the trend).
So here's the thing. The show is indeed over. BUT, show it to others. See what they think of it. You might be surprised.
