It’s been almost 5 & a half years since I’ve straightened my hair. I started my transition to natural & healthy hair in July of 2014 & haven’t touched a flatiron since. Your hair looks amazing!

Yaay to curls reverting back! I too am not opposed to naturals straightening our hair but I'm just so afraid of heat damage. I've been natural 4 years and have yet to straighten my hair but I SO want to. 😟😟😟 Your hair looks beautiful!

I made sure I used a heat protectant when blow drying and using the flat iron. Which is so important too! It was in the back of my head but I felt like my hair was healthy and prepped well to do it. I definitely wouldn't have done it last year when my hair was damaged and weak!

Love it! Have you tried the Camille Rose Cholesterol? It's very hydrating too. I'll have to try the conditioner you used next

I straighten my hair once a year around Christmas time.
But it's been about 5 months. I straightened it for graduation in May.

I feel you! I still have about two inches left of damaged hair from my iron deficiency issue. Im finally chopping off the rest of it at the end of November. Can't wait to film that.

@@ActuallyAshly do you have any tips for growing your hair? I noticed your hair was much shorter when you started rockin the curls and now it's so full and beautiful. I feel like my hair is struggling to grow. I've been using hair growth oils and scalp massages, but I wasn't sure if you had any good tips besides being patient and giving it time

I've been natural for 5 years so it's been that long with no heat...
