XLR LOL been a while but can not tell you how many cables I have and BNC and so many others need to talk boxed cables with you I have a dozen plus boxes full of these types of cables.
Can you use the DBX Go Pro with an XLR Microphone to record your voice onto a computer? Will this device allow you to record audio via a pc sound card? Not getting music into a computer, but using it to get audio onto a computer with a 3.5 mic and a pc sound card. Is this possible?
First, your answer ... YES, you could plug in two microphones and adapt the output of this device to plug into the line input on your computers existing sound arrangement and record .... you could even plug a source into the 3.5 jack and record 2 mics and a stereo source. this being said ............ This device, although capable of what you ask is DEFINITELY NOT the unit you want to use to add microphone to something TO BE RECORDED by the computer. The DBXGoRack can be used to add up to 2 microphones (i wish it had effects too) when you have a computer as a music source and provide balanced output to a stereo set of powered speakers (or mono if you like). If you want to get the sounds of your microphones INTO your computer you will need a device with the right number of mic inputs (say one or two) and a data connection to the computer (say USB). This will then act as a high quality sound card for you, both letting you record professional grade xlr type microphones but also giving you a premium output for your powered monitors, headphones or whatever way you decide to monitor. Keep in mind ... this machine works best for people that have either powered speakers with XLR input or an amplifier with XLR inputs. (or TRS balanced inputs in a pinch, but that requires more money for adaptation from XLR to TRS) Look up external recording interfaces ... you will find a ton of them. the local Craigs had one of these for 80 Canadian spendulucks tascam.com/product/us-122mkii/ or this can be found brand new ... for 150.00 .. well worth it tascam.com/product/us-2x2/
People. This is sound processor. This is for tuning your sound from your freacking mixer. Everything else is just secondary use.
What's cool is that this thing has more than one use, if you're crafty, otherwise just follow the directions on the box
agree on both comments! About to buy a 2nd hand one for my small PA
