My dad studied under Stanley William Hayter in 1974. I grew up outside of Chicago and dad was an art professor. He received a sabbatical to study under Hayter. Stanley William Hayter made such an impact on my dad. We lived in the Latin Quarter and I was 8 years old. Printer making is such a detailed and precise form of art. I remember the concentration on the face of my father as he worked. I am so glad I found your video. I have a work of art from my dad, "The Working Day". I took him two years to finish the engraving. I do not have the ability or the patience of my dad but am so proud of his work. Thank you for the video.

I was very lucky to attend Atelier 17 Paris for 6 months 1987-1988 . Superb experience with the Maestro S.W.Hayter.
In few days I will show some of the prints I did in Atelier 17 in Jadite Gallery ,NYC. Thanks for your words !

Thank you for this great explanation. As a printmaking student studying colour intaglio, the historical aspect of it seems more clear now...

Excellent! I was lucky enough to attend a weekend workshop with Krishna Reddy in the '80's at KSU. I love the history in this video and also viewing Hayter's work.

C’est merveilleux Ann! Beautifully done and I especially appreciated your discussion of plate 6 from L’apocalyse portfolio. Also the interaction of technique and meaning in Hayter’s work. Subscribed and sharing.
