The siren at the end of 2011 gets me every time! Has to be one of the loudest and most emotional roars of all time! First time I cried at the end of a match.
Channel 7 have turned their microphones down significantly in recent years (hence why crowds sound quieter). They don't seem to realise that people would much prefer to hear loud crowd noise over their stupid commentators rambling on about stuff that has nothing to do with the game
Tim, this is the best compilation vid of the pies I’ve seen thanks mate, with the teams we’ve had thru the 2010’s we should’ve won a couple more premierships, 2022 is our year I’m hoping, no team creates these kind of memories but the pies
At 18:30 Bruce says that Tom Langdon had never kicked a goal before that game against Richmond. So I went to a few different AFL stat websites and he did in fact kick 2 goals in 2016 and 1 in 2018. And non in 2017 but. As edited in this video this game against Richmond was in 2017. After checking on the AFL app this game was in fact played in 2016 Round 2. But however we did play Richmond again in 2017 Round 2, but it did result in a loss.
Fantastic clips. Thanks for this-it helps me to survive this lockdown! How did you leave out Benny Johnson's running goal in the first q of the Geelong preliminary? I forgive you.
2011 Prelim has to be the best game for me. Not the best game they ever played by any means, but the grit and determination shown in the game is number one for me. Plus being there live was an experience i'll never forget. Better than 3 Grand Finals. (Including the Draw) Plus add on the emotion from what was potenially Micks last game as coach and for me has to be the #1 collingwood game of all time.
I’m an American who has just discovered this fascinating sport. Is there an overtime? If you tie in the Grand Final, you have to play another entire game? That’s insane!!
This is fantastic stuff, and the scenes after the premiership were grouse!

The crowds in older games seem so much louder than they seem in recent years, pre 2020 obviously.

That use to be the case however the rule has now been changed. If the grand final is a tie than it will go into overtime
5 minutes each way
Love the video. Btw the Richmond one has to be earlier than 2017 bc Travis Cloke is still playing for the pies in this game
2016*
good as just gave this a geaze
we need a dirty pies addition hahaha
I've noticed when Hawthorn play Magpies, Hawks need to fight
2013 was the best pie
Thank you for compiling this Tim, Cheers mate! and gO da fcKn PiES!!
Go pies
Awesome video ⚫️⚪️
!!!!BEST COMPILATION EVER!!!! GO THE PIES!!!!
The Richmond game was in 2016 but good as vid
Just imagine if Luka Ball didn't kick that winning goal against Hawthorn then Hawthorn would've been in 5 consecutive Grand Finals
Quarters it's FARTBREAK
UP THE PIES👍
Now do a worst Collingwood games , cause today (10/october) was another pathetic performance that our club gave that really hurt us all 😒😒😢😢
