You can also tell PAM to use one of the screens in the cockpit if you like.

I figured it out. So in you cockpit name put (PAM:1) and it should pop up in like 3 seconds. Ex Industrial Cockpit (PAM:1)
Screens are numbered from 0 to how many it has. I like 1 because it's the top left in the Industrial cockpit

I searched the tutorial of PAM. And now, i found it. thanks
i keep getting into the trap of building bigger and bigger mining ships which is truly fun. But the piston and rotor subgrids require manual build and configuration steps. And large static grid rotor rigs really have to be built custom each time. Automation, portability and the scaling of swarms I think will outpace large rigs. And one can always make bigger plunge miners, too.

Is there a way to integrate the PAM script with the new AI blocks? that way the miner can return to a mobile ship instead of a base
That's it! Gonna rename my "Vertical Miner" into "TB-%payload%" when (if) I finally do a rework on it! Mysterious letters before numbers are best when they actually have a meaning :D
Great now I can actually use the Pam based ships I have saved yay

do you manually rebind keys in all your games to jkl? because i've only ever rebound one game for the sake of left handedness. my mouse cord is never long enough and my right pinky works hard

I can't for the life of me get this to work on an ice field with the crayfish works great with a cliff face.
If I were to use hydrogen engines, how would I set them up before the sorter, (would it go connector into h2/O2 attached to the sorter or what)? Also how does the ships refueling work? Does it only make a trip when it has enough fuel? Will it stop on the connector to charge if needed? Thanks and great vid!
use 2 sorters one draining(arrow down) one for refuelling (arrow up) hydrogen whitelisted just don't stack sorters use conveyors to connect to connector same with storage
I really appreciate your detailed tutorials! I have learned so much that I think my game is very strong now...I wanted to know if you hand a tutorial on automation mining without scripts.. I have the automation mod as well as the Gaynemed mods, but I'm having difficulty trying to get my mine to be totally automated. Do you have any AI shorts?

Bit late watching this video. I coudn't koment on your last video. UA-cam didn't let me for some reason. But last video was a good video. This video is also realy good. I don't yet have se but when i buy it this wil be usefull

Does this work if the landing pad is on a ship? I’m building a freighter with it’s own little ”supply gathering drone”. Aside from that question, great video!
hm, I don't think PAM would be best in this case, perhaps one of RDAVs scripts or the in game AI

[PAM:1] is the tag for cockpit use for the script 👍
Do you have to have a dlc my programmable block does not look anything like in the video it just gives me a custom data option and then that’s it it doesn’t give me the other options like in the video
When does it choose to stop and fly back? My ship on a planet would be too overloaded.

Im having an issue and don’t know how to resolve it, when I click “check code” it gives me an Imyradioantenna does not contain definition for attached programable block and I don’t know what that is

if you use remote control can you still make the needed input in the event/sensors blocks and set up a path ? like you just sit your lazy ass inside a drone ship and just plot out a mining location all from one seat ?

Just downloaded the game again. In the past we had to use PAM as well but nowadays we have AI blocks, don't we? Is there still no way to enable vanilla auto mining?
I haven't seen any easy ways to do it vanilla as of yet

When I look in the programmable block settings there is no EDIT button. Is this guide outdated or am I missing something?

Depends, all you need is scripts, but I’m not sure they enable them on their servers

Hey, lunar kolony, I have a quick question. Is any of this possible for PS5? I tried this, but the programmable block doesn't have the edit section. Is there a way to do this?
Idk if it's on PS5 but on the PC you have to go into your world settings and allow in game scripts before you can edit the programmable block
