A small correction, correct spelling is Seymour. I like the concept of heritage operators leasing out their locos to freight operators, likely a good source of additional funds to support the restoration of these and other locos.
Oh my god how did I not notice that my stupid autocorrect! That’s stuck with the video forever now >:( And yes I think that is a really good idea, just it only really benefits standard gauge railways since broad is not used on freight really.
those 2 locos are on hire to SCT from Seymour Railway Heritage Centre C501 and X31. X31 has been recently been gauge convertd from broad to standard gauge with S307 bogies.
@Planetrainguy You're very welcome, PTG 👍. Thanks for that. I assumed they were dead as I couldn't see any hint of exhaust, and there were 5 other locomotives that would make it unnecessary to use their horsepower.

Thanks John! They were operating on the way to Adelaide, but I heard X31 had problems, and since this train was 7 locos, I think they were dead.
@@thekingmeme1237 Sorry for my late reply. Thanks for that information, I really appreciate it 😊
@@aussiejohn5835 not your fault John, for some reason that reply from thekingmeme got flagged as inappropriate and I had to approve it.

Is the cover image Mitcham? How didn’t I see you?
I hid behind the bushes lol. I saw you there, I was held up when the hybrid train went across the crossing, which funnily enough I saw again at Belair
