How is this considered Glam Metal again? It's like Judas Priest meets Iron Maiden with Anselmo's vocals. I wish this album was recognized more. Sure, there are some cheesy parts thrown in, but this album riffs ultra hard. In my opinion this would have easily been Pantera's real debut. This is a highly underrated classic.

Hard to believe that is Anselmo. He is such a great singer with a ferocious voice when Pantera came into their own. They jumped to the top of the scene and just kicked ass for years. They became too dominant that destiny had to stop them. AMEN!!!!!!

After all these years I finally understand why this album was pushed at the wayside; Once the band released CFH, they realized they had a heavy record on their hands and wanted to pursue that instead. I still love this album and Pantera have been playing these songs as late as 92/93 during their Vulgar tour. You can even find a live video of them playing PST 88 from that era.

thrash and trad metal purists get so butthurt when someone mentions glam like, go fucking cry about it so what it turns out a band you like were into glam/hair/shred metal and incorporated a lot of those elements into their music, sabbath did it, judas priest did it, saxon did it, pantera did it too as well as many others, just suck it up or do one, a lot of people are too closed minded to really enjoy music

And Pantera through all was more Bad ass Van Halen / Judas Priest based with more Hooky songs than Exhorder which is more faster , thrashier and have 50 parts in all their songs.
Anyone else here from Razorfist?? When Cowboys from Hell was released the likes of Kerrang and Metal Hammer were basically saying "Where have Pantera been hiding this album all these years?" The implication being that the back catalogue was crap. For that reason alone I never bothered listening to any of it. I'm sorry I didnt coz it sounds pretty goddam good

I really enjoy this Pantera album probably my favorite it's great just to find this stuff because I've never really listened to it I started with cowboys so it's great and Phil Anselmo actually had a great voice dime vinn y and Rex great rock and roll attitude and a great band

In this age Pantera left the glam metal and turned to pure thrash metal, 2 years leter in Cowboys From Hell they turned to groove metal.
