the latency isnt from the tv its from the converter also crt tv's are known for extremely low latency

Hey can you tell me more about this. Because i thinking of buying a CRT with a VGA port. And my graphics card doesn't have a VGA port. I already have a adapter for it. Will i experience a huge input lag?

@@xtremely1nsane most likely not, but you never know with adapters like that. Most of them are cheap ass ones made in a small factory in China
Unlike flat screens, CRTs have basically no latency, it was just the converter that added the latency.
Somehow it still looks better then my monitor

The latency is caused by the A/V converter, it has very cheap electronics inside
the latency isn't from the TV it's from the converter, CRTs have almost 0 latency

@@yourdad_.. a CRT basically has no processing. it just instantly shoots its electron gun across the screen and produces the image while a led has to process the information it gets over hdmi for example. before it can display it as a whole image. the technology that goes into CRTs is really cool and has been around since the 1930s but in black and white :)
@@yourdad_.. they dont have any processing except for a simple chip that adjusts settings and overlays on top of the video signal, as well as a jungle ic which converts a composite video signal into a rgb signal which the tv circuitry shoots rays from an electron gun at an extremely quick speed.
the only latency comes from the delay from the refresh rate as the next frame has to be shown, but of course those cheap adapters will add latency as they need to actually process the digital hdmi signal and convert it into an analog composite one, and cheaper adapters will have lower quality circuity for conversion.
The latency must come from the av converter
Pro tip: when using a HDMI to RCA coverter, don't pick the cheapest one, instead pick the one that has been approved by many other people and reviewers. They may be expensive but its worth the price.
Genuinely too poor, is one that used to be 30 dollars but is on sale good? It used to be more than the 15 it is now.

Actually, speaking seriously - there are CRT monitors that have 144hz, speaking of which you could greatly shave off the price on the high frequency monitors, but the cons would be that image quality isn't the best, non-standard screen ratio/resolution and most importantly - frying pan for your eyes

@@jordan3636 CRT monitors uses vga or other analog connector... And CRT doesn't work like LCD.. CRt projectsbeam of light at speed of light so it technically doesn't have any latency

Can you view some videos from UA-cam on it since you got it hooked up from your laptop to the crt. I can hook up my pc to my Smart tv but wish I had an crt to try what your doing.
If that vhs player still works and I do think some of them can record video you just need a blank vhs tape and then you pretty much could record your game play on to that vhs tape
I hate these videos that ask 'can we' like yes it's easy you don't even do anything the correct adapters have already been made
Edit: also why would it not have sound, you connected the white audio cable to the tv why would it not carry sound
Because HDMI is digital and composite is analog, so he didn't think the sound would convert to analog

get an nvidia 710 and go with vga to rca converter so youre analog to analog should help with latency
It’s just another monitor why wouldn’t it work? It has nothing to do with graphics as long as you can see it it will work on any screen if it’s a good one.
Someone tell all the idiots in the comments it doesnt matter where the latency comes from if you are forced to use the adaptor to play modern games
I just paid 150$ for a zenith space command crt tv 📺 and man. That was a tuff choice but I’m sure it’ll be worth it lol 😂

Btw you will get actual usable results from a CRT PC monitor. They were higher resolution tubes with higher refresh rates.
You have latency because of all those converters. CRTs typically have no input latency.
Something about a shitty crt speaker is just wholesome and fulfilling
The latency is bad because when your converting a highly intense game on a tv that small it will struggle to run the game because of how oudated it is.

A bit late, but this is a CRT tv so it does not have vga. CRT monitors for the most part do have vga. You can also find HD CRT tvs with HDMI inputs on them.
