Mountainous Armenia. Noravank Monastery and Hovhannes-Karapet. October 2021

A beautiful mountain landscape, red, as if heated by the sun, powerful rocks of the surrounding mountains give the architectural ensemble of Noravank as a whole great expressiveness and solemnity. The semantic center of the Noravank shrine is the Surb Astvatsatsin church, which is considered a masterpiece of Armenian religious architecture. On the first floor of the church there is the burial vault of the Orbelian princes, on the second there is a chapel, which can be reached by a narrow outer staircase.

In the Ararat region, there is a medieval Armenian monastic complex - St. Hovhannes-Karapet of the 14th century. A unique and little-known monastery, as a wonderful example of Armenian architecture of the Middle Ages. The monastery complex of St. Hovhannes-Karapet, surrounded by mountains, harmoniously fits into the natural landscape. We are delighted with our trip. We are especially grateful to Holy Father Aristakes, abbot of the monastery Hovhannes Karapet, who accompanied us on this wonderful journey. He recently became the abbot, but with his participation the 7 km road to the monastery was paved. Next, electricity will be supplied and there is a plan for the restoration of the monastery complex. We hope that one more pearl of Armenia will appear.

Удачи вам, ребята в ваших начинаниях 🙏✝️🙏 Лайк и подписка. Армения действительно особая страна, со своими проблемами, с изоляцией со стороны "дружелюбных" и ненавидящих их, их соседей. Но Бог этот народ и страну сохранил по сей день, и это великая милость Божья к этому народу. Армения 🇦🇲 колыбель Христианства, о чём свидетельствуют многочисленные церкви, соборы, храмы по всей территории страны начиная с 4 века нашей эры!

Спасибо за прекрасный ролик! Бытует мнение, что армяне строили свои храмы в труднодоступных местах. Это, не совсем так. Строили они их везде, только до наших дней дошли лишь те, до которых не дотянулись руки варваров.
