    I watch some of your vedios and I wish you are my neighbors so I can easily ask for some seeds. But just yesterday I started growing avocado seeds, papaya, cocoa, soursop. I'm planning to grow them in our abandoned lot in the hill here in the Philippines.

      Those plants can easily grow in tropical island. I have a relative in Davao, they plants a lot of varietas plants at their backyard.

    Recommending you pickle the green papaya and enjoy that way. We don't always wait for it to ripen to enjoy. Slice papaya in to thin 2-3 inch strips. Place in a jar. Add vinegar and salt to taste and optional hot peppers put in a glass jar and let sit for overnight.

    I have been saving your vlogs to watch and then I've forgot about it!!!! Ugh.. Your garden is in abundance! You're so lucky you could buy the fruit plants especially and get to have fruits off them so fast. We have so little of such stuff. Most except for a few like citrus plants needs to wait for a few years!
    Girl, for papayas if there is any signs of the skin turning orange then they are ripening. But papaya at any stage are able to be eaten. Just depend on the recipes. Look for papaya soup with pork ribs for the unripe ones (still hard and slightly orange) for confinement and milk boosting (but they are good for the body too without having to have babies!!) Also for any asian style salads and curries! And papaya pickles!! They are really nice. Also nice to be accompanied with roast pork!! Or just eat the ripe ones raw (all skin is in orange and best chilled) or for smoothie/juice!!

    Recently found your channel and am really enjoying your relaxing videos as you collect everything from the garden. What is that dark red flower in the bunch? It's beside the lovely yellow dahila when you first display the bunch. 😘

      Thank you so much. That dark flower is another dahlia but it came from a mixed bag so I am unsure of the name. The other dark flowers are Autumn Beauty Sunflowers 🌻

    Is the garden hard to manage and work full time

      not at all. with permaculture you can kind of let the plants do their own thing so it gives you more freedom. You aren't spending so much time fighting weeds or maintaining. a manicured look so that helps a lot :)

    What did you harvest at 4:55?

    • @TaylorRaine
      @TaylorRaine  2 роки тому +1

      “Midnight snack” tomatoes
      They are a deep purple (almost black) and flush with red on the bottom when they are ripe. Super sweet and easy to grow.

      @@TaylorRaine oh, so they are tomatoes! My kiddo was right then, I told her they weren't. Oops. 😬
