    Some casual Robert Fripp moments:
    10:45 - Yes.
11:10 - No, the image was not edited, the Crimson King himself smiled
14:19 - Casually starts Shredding out of nowhere
22:37 - Belew: "Play for me, stubby fingers", then Robert proceeds to casually play with a "Stubby fingers?!" face
23:36 - Casually changes the instrument to Piano, and starts doing the thing he is supposed to
32:18 - More casual Fripp play style
    34:48 - Frippckethead appears

They are the Mozarts, the Bethovens of tomorrow. People will listen in future decades of even centuries and will still wonder what was that. I am glad they are still alive and playing. We should celebrate that fact and hope they will all have long and good life, as they made our lives happier for decades already. Thank you DGM and all viewers that support this extreme conception of music. I have the sense that even though everybody needs the money, these guys never really did it for the money as an end They did it simply because they are real artists and musicians. I read they only managed to make ends meet only after 20 years they had gotten started . Only around the 80s they managed to see some money. I salute Crimson.

QuickShepard :My good man,U are absolutely correct. The synchronization and interplay between these 2 eclectic and idiosyncratic virtuosos is unparalleled in music history.Even if U wish 2 call forth the period known
as Baroque;U had your singular virtuosos;J.S. Bach, A.Vivaldi, and to close out the period W.A.Mozart(with many
other lesser known, but equally as resplendent composer/performers).Then we have the master A.Segovia, who
legitimized the nylon string and ultimately, the guitar itself as an instrument to be taken as serious as any other
symphonic instrument.Fast forward through 2 Les Paul, who without him, there would be no electric guitar and
Multi track recording , and thus no DGM.But Belew and Fripp are ,hands down more psychically tuned 2 each other's cognitive process than ANY other 2 guitarists. They have always been the vanguards of sonic expression.
Nary a twin guitar fusion has there ever been, and are light years ahead of the musical world!🎼🤓✨🙏🏼✨🇨🇦

@@ProgFanification As I understand it, "kicking Belew" is perhaps a bit too strong a wording. KC was reformed, but Fripp simply didn't invite Belew to be a part of the reformation, citing him as not being a good fit for the current iteration of the band. Given that there hasn't been a major release since then, this reasoning seems questionable, but it is what it is.

What a lovely surprise to start the day!
I know everyone loves The Power to Believe, but I am of the unpopular opinion that this King Crimson hit its peak before the release of that album. The material in The ConstruKction of Light is far stronger (again, IMO), and coupled with the focus on improvisation and the realization that Belew could play a King Crimson show without playing Elephant Talk or Indiscipline for the umpteenth time, this made the 2000 tour a delight for me.
Then again, I believe "A speck of lint on the penis of an alien" is a brilliant line, so maybe I'm just a weirdo.

You're not a weirdo. Ot maybe you are, what do I know? But thinking that line is brilliant does not make one a weirdo. It struck me, the first time I heard this song. Belew is not one for throwing in "shocking" words or sentiments gratuitously, which makes it all the more brilliant. Levels and levels. Hats off to AB & KC.

My favourite period in KC history. This music was ahead of its time in 2000 and it still is.
I understand and support the new KC but the Double Duo was unbeatable. Fripp's fretboard gymnastics, Belew's charisma (and making absurd parts seem easy to play), Gunn's Warr wizardry, and Mastelotto's frakctured electronic/acoustic drumming made a band with all the parts in the right places. This might be the only case of extremely technical music that I find truly enjoyable even when I'm in the 'naive listener' mode (that is, when I just listen to the song, go with the flow, no analysis).

Late-90s-early-2000s Crimson was the peak of the band in my opinion, which is pretty mind blowing considering how long they've been around and over 30 years from their initial formation. Like, what if the Rolling Stones, after their popularity in the 60s and 70s, had their peak years as a band in 1999-2002??? The really crazy thing, is it is still possible that we haven't seen the peak of Crimson. . . although I suspect the latest incarnation is meant to come full circle and return to their roots as the band comes to a final retirement.
I saw them around this time in Detroit. Three times actually. They were amazing.

David Singleton said in his diary last Thursday that " [he] had a surprisingly clear vision of a possible path for the Construkction of Light re-issue, which will follow THRAK".
Fripp said back in 2011 that "David Singleton and myself listened to the multi-tracks at DGM a little while ago, and came to the view that we could not significantly improve the album from the source recordings - ADATs. We have discussed re-assembling the album to include live recordings of the pieces. Something like, The reConstruKction of Light. This is one of our discussion plans for a possible future, if litigation and dissent leave our DGM lives."
In the UA-cam description to this video they specifically state that Heavy ConstruKction is out of print.
All the tracks included in the video appeared were taken from this show on Heavy ConstruKction.
So... could this be a taster for a future audiovisual edition of Heavy ConstruKction? All the shows were shot by BootlegTV so it could be done.
    The mystery continues...

+Богдан Федько it's a very difficult material and takes a lot of concert time specifically (rehearsals and studio practice not enough) to play it in. it was the same with Fracture in 1973-74. even the album version (recorded live in late 1973) was a little flawed and had to be overdubbed in the studio. but by spring 1974 Robert played it impeccably, as the many live recordings show. I guess it was the same with FracKCtured. as both a guitarist and a fan I happen to know what a hell to play both pieces are, even for the maestro himself )

If they played with Crimson that was reason enough to buy other albums they played on. A number of albums in my collection were added that way. A few years ago one of my sisters asked me if I would sell some of my albums to her for her kids. Vinyl was in again. I told her I would just give them to her. So now another generation has all of my Crimson albums. And so it continues into the future.
