Very great song. One of their best albums for sure, not really sure why everyone is pushing all the new current stuff. Its good, but continue to the discography you’re already doing
4:12 When J. Craig sings, I try my hardest to sing with him, because he's so talented that it makes me sound better. BUT, got dang (Had to censor my words for youtube) is it hard, because he stretches out the most simplest words. I'll be singing what I think I am hearing and then go look up the lyrics and realize he was stretching out the word "The" or something crazy. Dude can bend his words to make ANYTHING sound angelic. Hands down my favorite song from DGD.
Dude thank you! Been waiting on this one for a while! I knew you'd get thrown off by how much progression this song has and I'm happy you enjoyed it. Think it's time to introduce you to their 2nd singer Kurt Travis. Some greats with him are Alex English Tree Village Rock Solid Carl Barker If you still wanna listen to this singer I recommend "Turn Off the Lights I'm Watching Back to the Future" "Purple Reign" "Spooks"
@@TheJake2l lol trying not to give him too big a list at one time. I'm sure on one of his other dgd reactions I have blue dream sitting in a comment somewhere 😂
Discovered your videos recently, specifically all your DGD reaction videos because they're my favorite band. I wish you had reacted to higher quality versions of these songs because I can tell right off the back there's major compression on this version of the song. Also helps a lot if you're reading the lyrics along with the song, especially for DGD songs.
It’d be kinda a unique idea if you went through each album in order, taking the musical journey of the progression of this band. Haven’t seen any other reaction UA-camr do that yet. Maybe even doing a full album reaction in an extended video or livestream
Glad to see you react to this one. Honestly just keeping going through their discography and you'll see them change and grow as a band. I grew up listening to this album and loving it but personally I think their last couple albums have been their best.
This album (and ep) is totally different from the rest of their discography, and in a good way. This is by far my favorite album by them and honestly my favorite album of all time by any artist. The sound on this one is unlike anything else I’ve ever heard and is perfect in every way. When Jonny left they completely changed there sound (imo), going from a sincere/epic/emotional sound to an upbeat/wacky/loony sound. It’s like they stopped taking themselves serious. Don’t get me wrong, there new stuff is still great but it just sounds like a different band with the same guitarist and screamer and doesn’t come close to hitting the mark like dbm did. So sad that a masterpiece like this will never be made again
Couldn’t have said it better myself. This exact sentiment lives in me hard and I’m not quite sure what to do with it but regard it as one of the best pieces of music in music history
Didnt show up on recommended or when i searched but i am here. Nice video. Are you gonna do several song from each album that would be cool if you did 😄
I love this one too man! There are more good songs on this album, but if you're keen to check out their 2nd singer & the next album after this one... I'ma be selfish & recommend a personal favorite rather than a super popular one: "Hot Water on Wool (+Reprise)"
Idc how bad the production due to the time era. I listened to this in hs and im about to be 31- i grew out of a lot of this music- and i still listen to dbm. My most listened to album ever. Still hits me hard.
ive spammed you enough, i think you will do my picks eventually >.> But if you forgot BEAUTIFUL DEATH SLAVES ALBUM and carl barker/uneasy hearts weigh the most
Dude your reaction was my exact reaction when I discovered them as a teenager. Even to this day, at 37 years old, I still get chills.
This is hands down my favorite song Jonny has ever done. The second half especially.
100% agree

I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song 12 years ago. Literally unreal it’s so good...

It's a good album but Jon and the band are farrrr tighter in later albums. This is a bit of a mess, but in a good way

Just gonna say you are absolutely correct about the titles reference. Assuming you are thinking about..... things.
The singer comes back for downtown battle mountain 2 so it will be interesting to see what you think when you get to that album.
PRISONER - Dance Gavin Dance, its their lead single from their upcoming album Afterburner coming out April 24th!!!!
