that would be an awful transition. you're telling me that we would cut from this distraught woman, to fives years later, where she is having a great time high-fiving Peter and stuff? that would be unintentionally funny and confusing. we would completely miss an important turning point in her character development that you have JUST started to introduce in this scene.

I would rank this as number one missed opportunities in the MCU, second is not recasting T'challa (ending his story), third is quicksilver story (if they don't bring him back to life in WandaVison), and fourth is every villain they have used and killed in one movie because " developing a super villain or putting them in a team! Who needs those?" (ultron being on the top of that list, who was criminally underused and mishandled but that's my opinion)

You’re telling me that she finds out her teenage nephew is Spider-Man, the very next thing that happens is he hops on a spaceship to another planet and dies, and then after he comes back to life five years later (seemingly with no explanation as far as she knows), she’s not only cool with him Spider-Manning, but he’s going to another continent? I’m shocked that she’d let him out of her sight ever again.

Dang, that “I’ll Always come back” then five years later hits different. It also reminded me of Spider-Man from into the spiderverse that said “I always get back up” then dies
Imagine if Avengers Endgame started off like this, then we had the five years later jump and saw May depressed or something (provided she actually survived the snap instead). That would really improve her character, the dynamic between Peter and May and make Spideys goodbye so much more impactful here.
May should've survived the snap. That way, she would've gotten older and would've looked close to the Aunt May we knew from the comics and from the previous Spider-Man movies.
Yeahh, besides uncle Ben Marvel seems to constantly hold this iteration of Spider Man back by excluding emotional scenes like this one, (and for example a scene of Stark telling May peter is death and a reunion between May and Peter when he comes back to live.)

Judging by what Peter said in no way home about May not having a good reaction to finding out about him being Spider-Man, it perfectly justified to consider this or something like this as canon.

Whilst I may think that Far from Hero is closer to the comics (mainly because of the comic-like imagery through Mysterio's illusions), I can agree that Homecoming is a much more balanced story than Far from Home. There weren't that many subplots in Homecoming (it's really just fighting bad guys to prove to Stark that he's capable, and going to Homecoming with Liz that are the two main plot points), whereas there's a whole multitude of them in Far from Home (coming to terms with Tony's death whilst trying to get together with MJ (there was no build-up to that, it was just "I want to ask MJ out" for the entire movie), AND dealing with Mysterio (both as a "good guy" and a villain) whilst simultaneously trying to keep his identity a secret on his school trip).
Spoilers but I can’t help but imagine how much better it would had been if in Avenger Endgame, Aunt may actually survived the snap and she was waiting at the avenger compound and demanding to know where Peter was and breaking down in tears when she find out he was gone and blaming herself and stark for allowing Peter to be Spiderman. Far From Home could had been about Peter and Aunt May dealing with his life as Spiderman and her opposing it as well as being more protective of Peter (even volunteering to be extra help for the teacher on the school trip just so Peter isn’t out of her sight), could even open up about losing Uncle Ben during the movie but understand that Peter have to do it because it’s the right thing to do. I think that would had made the death scene in No Way Home far more impactful.
Before she says, "I'm not losing you too." I imagine her reaching forward and taking Peter's hand. And then after she says it, he crouches on the floor with her and they hold hands while they talk 😢

Because Hollywoods knows that however the scripts is written, they will just get paid because of they have fan's favourite character in so they will get a bunch of money where UA-camrs knows how to make the characters act like how fans want to see.

The way I’d follow up this scene would be Peter going back to his apartment for the first time since he vanished and Aunt May is there with grey hair (or greying hair) and she begins to cry. This could be its own scene but I feel like having two heavily emotional scenes in a row is awkward so I’d probably drop a title crawl their or whatever.
Honestly I feel like this would be a better scene to end homecoming. Imagine he had his ending and chose not to be an avenger Bc he wants to be neighborly and when he gets home this happens. Aunt may is devastated by this and he has to leave to go save someone and that’s just the cold ending.

After the "Five Years Later", May should've been one of the survivors. and then you'd have a reunion between May and Peter in the airport, with Happy in the background, and her hugging him crying, and then saying "You're grounded" or something along those lines

Jesus that Tom Holland impersonation is perfect, I actually thought it was him at first. Aunt May finding out Peter is Spider-Man is something we don't often see a lot. When Homecoming did it, I laughed at first because of the joke but then got annoyed how they didn't address it at all in Far From Home. Moments like these define who Spider-Man is and I wish the MCU included more of them in their films. Great video!

What if throughout Far From Home, Peter kept putting off the conversation where he tells May all the things he needs to tell her. The entirety of Far From Home plays the same but with Peter realizing that he is constantly losing those who he looks up to: His parents, Uncle Ben, Tony Stark, and now Mysterio, who makes it worse by not dying but betraying Peter at his most vulnerable (Mysterio even torments him with all of these figures in his past). Finally, he has the conversation where he tells May everything, to which she responds that Spider-Man is the hero she looks up to and who so many others look up to as well. Finally, Peter accepts that there's no more mentor for him besides he himself. It's finally time for him to not become Iron Man Jr. or a young boy figuring out his powers or a superhero standing in the shadows of others to learn how to be like them. He becomes Spider-Man! He finally stops suppressing his Spider-sense, accepting its what makes him unique, and uses it to stop Mysterio!
Let’s start a petition to make this canon! Literally my only problem with far from home was that there was no consequences for May finding out that Peter was Spider-Man. His identity is a HUGE deal and Aunt May just being okay with Peter being a hero doesn’t feel right. Thank you for addressing this issue! This must be put into the film! If Justice League can be reshot so long after its initial release then Spider-Man should be able to just add in the one scene!

In the comics he still has responsibilities and consequences like in Spider-Man: Life Story. But I give props to them for being talented at what they do best.

@@TheWebhead14 I wouldn't say that Spider-Man in the mcu isn't close to who he is in the comics or other iterations, its very much still there...its just presented differently. But I do agree that the mcu has been afraid to take risks by not adding the emotional depth from Bens death, thats very much a part of the core of his character. Hopefully we get some of that in Spider-Man 3, and beyond. His stories won't be as impactful if they continue to sideline this part of his character. I trust in Feige, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This was what the film lacked, consequences, and dramatic and reflective implications, that made us cry and think. No nonsense like everything is resolved by the power of the script.
I do agree that this animation is amazing, but this scene wouldn't benefit Far From Home at all. It might make some fans happy, but it wouldn't add or fit in to the story of Far From Home.

Dude, this is amazing. Scenes like this is what we've been missing from the spidey mcu films. I get the the films are supposed to be entertaining, but stories involving characters like spider-man need to have emotional weight to them. "I have a responsibility", that line alone sums up so much of who Peter is. Moments like this make him more relatable, its the vulnerability and reality of who Peter is why we love him so much. He's just a kid trying to do the right thing, even if it means putting himself in danger.
Guys the end of the first one where he was holding the building was literally perfect. Much like this, they just need a couple more like this and the movies would be amazing.

Far From Home is one of my favorite Spider-Man movies, but May really isn't quite developed enough in it, and that's a big flaw. It's a shame, we saw in homecoming that it was possible to create very good scenes between Peter and May, but they decided to focus on something else, whereas a discussion between the two was necessary after what happened in Infinity War and Endgame
This is a bit why I dont have a real connexion with the MCU spider man. there is missing the backstory and THIS SCENE. But it has potential to be better.
If this scene was in the real movie this would give SO much character development to aunt may and Peter and the movie as a whole SO much more emotional

Whilst I may think that Far from Hero is closer to the comics (mainly because of the comic-like imagery through Mysterio's illusions), I can agree that Homecoming is a much more balanced story than Far from Home. There weren't that many subplots in Homecoming (it's really just fighting bad guys to prove to Stark that he's capable, and going to Homecoming with Liz that are the two main plot points), whereas there's a whole multitude of them in Far from Home (coming to terms with Tony's death whilst trying to get together with MJ (there was no build-up to that, it was just "I want to ask MJ out" for the entire movie), AND dealing with Mysterio (both as a "good guy" and a villain) whilst simultaneously trying to keep his identity a secret on his school trip).

Spoilers but I can’t help but imagine how much better it would had been if in Avenger Endgame, Aunt may actually survived the snap and she was waiting at the avenger compound and demanding to know where Peter was and breaking down in tears when she find out he was gone and blaming herself and stark for allowing Peter to be Spiderman. Far From Home could had been about Peter and Aunt May dealing with his life as Spiderman and her opposing it as well as being more protective of Peter (even volunteering to be extra help for the teacher on the school trip just so Peter isn’t out of her sight), could even open up about losing Uncle Ben during the movie but understand that Peter have to do it because it’s the right thing to do. I think that would had made the death scene in No Way Home far more impactful.
Before she says, "I'm not losing you too." I imagine her reaching forward and taking Peter's hand. And then after she says it, he crouches on the floor with her and they hold hands while they talk 😢

UA-camrs can write better than hollywood screenwriters
Because Hollywoods knows that however the scripts is written, they will just get paid because of they have fan's favourite character in so they will get a bunch of money where UA-camrs knows how to make the characters act like how fans want to see.

Ok I consider this canon. There’s just no way aunt May was perfectly fine with Peter being Spider-Man
The way I’d follow up this scene would be Peter going back to his apartment for the first time since he vanished and Aunt May is there with grey hair (or greying hair) and she begins to cry. This could be its own scene but I feel like having two heavily emotional scenes in a row is awkward so I’d probably drop a title crawl their or whatever.

Jesus that Tom Holland impersonation is perfect, I actually thought it was him at first. Aunt May finding out Peter is Spider-Man is something we don't often see a lot. When Homecoming did it, I laughed at first because of the joke but then got annoyed how they didn't address it at all in Far From Home. Moments like these define who Spider-Man is and I wish the MCU included more of them in their films. Great video!

If Aunt May was alive to learn that Peter was dusted she'd probably kill herself. No stones can bring that back.
What if throughout Far From Home, Peter kept putting off the conversation where he tells May all the things he needs to tell her. The entirety of Far From Home plays the same but with Peter realizing that he is constantly losing those who he looks up to: His parents, Uncle Ben, Tony Stark, and now Mysterio, who makes it worse by not dying but betraying Peter at his most vulnerable (Mysterio even torments him with all of these figures in his past). Finally, he has the conversation where he tells May everything, to which she responds that Spider-Man is the hero she looks up to and who so many others look up to as well. Finally, Peter accepts that there's no more mentor for him besides he himself. It's finally time for him to not become Iron Man Jr. or a young boy figuring out his powers or a superhero standing in the shadows of others to learn how to be like them. He becomes Spider-Man! He finally stops suppressing his Spider-sense, accepting its what makes him unique, and uses it to stop Mysterio!

Let’s start a petition to make this canon! Literally my only problem with far from home was that there was no consequences for May finding out that Peter was Spider-Man. His identity is a HUGE deal and Aunt May just being okay with Peter being a hero doesn’t feel right. Thank you for addressing this issue! This must be put into the film! If Justice League can be reshot so long after its initial release then Spider-Man should be able to just add in the one scene!

I hate when people are so blind to mcus ignorance , seriously so many say that people who dislike mcu spiderman are toxic BUT LOOK AT THE FILMS MAN so many simple things are just not there. It has so much potential but they keep messing it up and it angers me that spiderman isn't being spiderman.

Which is fine but it’s just their Spider-Man isn’t my type, they don’t have their heads berried in the sand it’s more that they’re focusing on making the next Iron Man which I think Spider-Man isn’t in that right position. In the comics he still has responsibilities and consequences like in Spider-Man: Life Story. But I give props to them for being talented at what they do best.

@@TheWebhead14 I wouldn't say that Spider-Man in the mcu isn't close to who he is in the comics or other iterations, its very much still there...its just presented differently. But I do agree that the mcu has been afraid to take risks by not adding the emotional depth from Bens death, thats very much a part of the core of his character.
Hopefully we get some of that in Spider-Man 3, and beyond. His stories won't be as impactful if they continue to sideline this part of his character. I trust in Feige, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This was what the film lacked, consequences, and dramatic and reflective implications, that made us cry and think. No nonsense like everything is resolved by the power of the script.
I do agree that this animation is amazing, but this scene wouldn't benefit Far From Home at all. It might make some fans happy, but it wouldn't add or fit in to the story of Far From Home.

At best, It would be there for blatant fan service that doesn't add anything for the movie other than for the fans that wanted it. At worst, it muddles up or ruins other plot points set up in this movie.

Dude, this is amazing. Scenes like this is what we've been missing from the spidey mcu films. I get the the films are supposed to be entertaining, but stories involving characters like spider-man need to have emotional weight to them.
"I have a responsibility", that line alone sums up so much of who Peter is. Moments like this make him more relatable, its the vulnerability and reality of who Peter is why we love him so much. He's just a kid trying to do the right thing, even if it means putting himself in danger.
Mid-way through watching this the amount goosebumps I got made me say "Phenomenal" and I don't think I've ever said "Phenomenal" before.
Every time I watch Civil War, I can't help but think Tony's "Why are you doing this?" should've been answered with simply "It's my responsibility."

Far From Home is one of my favorite Spider-Man movies, but May really isn't quite developed enough in it, and that's a big flaw. It's a shame, we saw in homecoming that it was possible to create very good scenes between Peter and May, but they decided to focus on something else, whereas a discussion between the two was necessary after what happened in Infinity War and Endgame
It's sad realizing that Disney would never even think of doing a scene like this. Great work!

Wow, I must say, this is pretty impressive. It would have given so much more plausibility for May's attitude towards Peter in Far From Home.
