It's funny to think that from 2009 onwards all driver's tittles have gone to either Red Bull or Mercedes drivers. In 2008 Lewis Hamilton won the championship with McLaren (that had Mercedes engine)
I'm English and I wanted Max to win, just for something different but also because I like his ruthless personality. Max just represents entertainment to me, while Lewis just represents the established order of boredom.

Difference between Hamilton with Mercedes and Schumacher with Ferrari.. after Schumacher dominance everyone still wanted him to win more. Max passed Hamilton fair and square on the last lap, nothing controversial about that. Mercedes had the same opportunity to change to softs as Red Bull but they didn't take the chance.
@@spacewombat4569 his 10 second gap got deleted by the safety car... not by Masi. Shit like that happens in F1 very often. Mercedes also didn't change tires with the virtual safetycar that happened before. The only problem I have is why they didn't let the lapped cars pass the safetycar immediately. This controversy happened because of that for the most part.
@@ewutermohlen Lapped cars are not allowed to pass the sc unless they were given to do it. Drivers can't immediately pass, they need to wait for clearance.
People hates dominance with no competition. People hated Schumi when he dominated with Ferrari, Seb was too. Now it's Lewis' turn. What's ironic is that Lewis once said Seb's dominance made F1 boring back then
@@pavise6333 crazy thing is that Ferrari's domination wasn't even close to how dominant Mercedes has been in recent years, recent seasons were a F1 disgrace
@@pavise6333 Ferrari dominated 2002 and 2004 yes but not like merc did in 2014, 2015, 2016, etc... There was still competition back then. The regs were different, actually they were pretty accurate in terms of racing unlike now. And what I mean by competition is that McLaren and Williams could challenge Ferrari, they had speed and pace sometimes. If we look at other teams since 2014, none were able to keep up with the mercs, the mercs always finished way ahead where everybody else were. And after 2002 and 2004 the FIA changed rules to slow down Ferrari, why the hell haven't they done so for merc since 2014? FIA hates Ferrari. 2005 season was a vacation season for Ferrari, they gave it up before it even began, tired of FIA doing their tricks against them. FIA even said it themselves back in the day, after 2002 "We did those changes to slow down Michael and Ferrari. We want competition from other drivers and teams, not just a single team and their drivers". Years later, that's exactly Mercedes 2014-2021. And people think 2000, 2001 and 2003 were also domination but they were truly not at all. Ferrari also won WCC 1999 but it's overshadowed due to McLaren's WDC.
Only if they keep LeClerc and sort things out. With Vasseur they're making a step in the right direction. They just need a car within 4 tenths of the Red Bull and LeClerc will make you champion

@@matthewm674he won it on merit. Yellow and red flag situations and pitting strategies are part of the sport. Lewis was unlucky here, but the whole season was full of such moments and usually they went in Lewis' favour (and what happened in Silverstone meant a Lewis win would not have been on merit). This last round deciding the Championship was simply epic.
@@ashokathegreat4534tyre and pitting strategies are part of F1!!! In the 2021 season Lewis won couple of races simply by Mercedes outsmarting Red Bull on strategy. Likewise, Red Bull outsmarted Mercedes a couple of times.
@@ronald3836 It wasn't merit if they changed the rules to make it easier for him. Hamilton was quicker the Verstappen all race. And yes, sometimes safety cars throw curve balls, and if the race was a few laps longer, Verstappen would have won it rightly. But it wasn't a few laps longer, the rules should have let it finish under the safety car, there wasn't enough time to follow the proper procedure to allow a restart. @@Mardyfella Agreed Masi's decision gave an opportunity for Max to close up to Hamilton. But what about : 1. Lap 1 incident, no merc fans are talking about how unfair lewis and merc were. 2. Toto trying to influence Masi's decision throughout the race whenever he felt Lewis was in threat, this is F1 not some kids karting. And now he himself is hypocritical in saying TP should be banned from talking to the race director 🤷. 3. Max still fought for the win, Lewis was atleast 2-3 car lengths in front of him when the race restarted and Lewis almost overtook him at the DRS zones. Max was the better driver coz he gave everything and karma gave him a fair win. Merc and lewis are sore losers except Bottas who I adore and respect a lot, in fact the only driver I follow no matter how he drives. @@Stormcloakvictory Dude, hamboy's only valuable stats are 2007-2013. Since 2014 everything is gifted to him. And I have a feeling that some drivers will eventually have their careers same as hamboy and that's not racing.
Warms my heart to see so many just not wanting Hamilton to win it yet again. Max is de nieuwe baas! 🇳🇱🏴
En zo is het maar net😉
2023 is ook al wel binnen. Lekker hoor
2024 lukt hem ook wel
Despite the controversy, that was the most exciting F1 moment I have seen in 40 years of watching.
Most of them (including me) are just tired of Mercedes/Hamilton dominance.
Or just jealous?
@@measme8586 grow up
The time of Mercedes' tyranny has ended
It's funny to think that from 2009 onwards all driver's tittles have gone to either Red Bull or Mercedes drivers. In 2008 Lewis Hamilton won the championship with McLaren (that had Mercedes engine)
I'm English and I wanted Max to win, just for something different but also because I like his ruthless personality. Max just represents entertainment to me, while Lewis just represents the established order of boredom.
@firerabbit2659 and he only ever drove in his extremely aggressive style against Hamilton. He couldn't beat him fairly. Now he doesn't need to, he doesn't. Everyone forgets how dangerous he was.
This has made my day. Best man won in all the years following f1 I've never hated a driver till hamilturd came along well done max and red bull
I am glad Max won and all but you cant disrespect one of the greatest drivers of all time like that
@@JayPatel-zt3ts if ur talking about Lewis Michael Schumacher is the greatest F1 driver then senna Lewis for majority of his titles had no competition to compete against him and when he did he was beaten by better drive for example nico roseberg in years he was with Mercedes he won more titles then Lewis in that time period Lewis is a good driver but wouldn’t put him in the greatest of all time category
@@murphyboi2311 Nico Rosberg was teammates with Lewis Hamilton for 4 years and only managed to win the world championship once while Lewis did it twice so idk wtf r u talking about and moreover Lewis managed to out score Alonso, (who btw ended Schumacer’s reign) in his first year as a driver when they both had the same car (Mclaren). I frankly think u just hate Hamilton just because he wins too much and u don’t really have proper knowledge of the sport.

No they didn't have a chance to change the tires because they would loose their track position due to Checo's legendary defence against Lewis.
Come on. A least get a grip on the reality of what happened.
@@spacewombat4569 If Max was leading and ham 2nd then pitted then 1 lap green flag would have still happened.
Hamilton and Mercedes hated practically everywhere.
People hates dominance with no competition. People hated Schumi when he dominated with Ferrari, Seb was too. Now it's Lewis' turn. What's ironic is that Lewis once said Seb's dominance made F1 boring back then
People throw around the word “hate” too much on here.
@@pavise6333 crazy thing is that Ferrari's domination wasn't even close to how dominant Mercedes has been in recent years, recent seasons were a F1 disgrace
@@v0ldy54 Agree. They were only dominating like Mercedes did in '02 and '04.
Ferrari also won WCC 1999 but it's overshadowed due to McLaren's WDC.
both excellent. both winners. one worldchampion. awesome to see!!
nearly the whole country was cheering on SUPER Max LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!
imagine that this race would have ended behind a Safetycar. Best decision of Masi ever!!
I watched it that day, that final lap was the stuff of legends
This was amazing !! Wish I was a part of that
Ferrari fans. Some day, some day, this will be us.
Hopefully John.
Only if they keep LeClerc and sort things out. With Vasseur they're making a step in the right direction. They just need a car within 4 tenths of the Red Bull and LeClerc will make you champion
But.... If you fail and LeClerc goes to Mercedes, Ferrari is done for.
Great to see that, I was cheering that loud in my home too haha. The only complaint I have as an Englishman is that you should have rotated the phone 90 degrees. portrait mode ruins things like that.
It's been 8 months and I still come back and watch this every couple of weeks 😅🥰

@@ashokathegreat4534 karma man, karma. The number of races in 2021 where the race directors massively favoured Lewis cannot be counted on 1 hand.
Regardless of who you were rooting for, that one lap shootout for the win was a mighty epic way to end a championship.
Unless you actually cared about the sport. Nobody seems to care about that anymore, it's becoming like American wrestling. It's a shame for the sport, for Max and for Hamilton that Max didn't win it on merit.
Yes, fresh softs for Verstappen vs old hard for Hamilton….what a ‘mighty epic way’
@@matthewm674he won it on merit.
Yes, that's boring, but it was the rules. Until they changed the rules and let Verstappen win. So no, he did not win it on merit, but because they changed the rules at the end of the race.

A moment I’ll never forget watching. What an amazing season.
Any random footage of crowd reaction I watch, people are cheering for Max yet fanboys think hamilton was robbed of a title by Masi. These videos are proof who is the real Formula1 WDC 🦁 MV33 🧡
The funny thing is the Hamilton fanboys in my country (Netherlands) say the majority of people outside the Netherlands wanted Hamilton to win. I guess they cry when they see videos like this.
Come on. Have some sense of proportion. Masi was a major player in this win however deserving Max was.
@@Mardyfella Agreed Masi's decision gave an opportunity for Max to close up to Hamilton. But what about :
The problem is Merc set up the stage to celebrate way too early and when things didn't turn out as they expected they claim everything is manipulated. Horner was 💯 right, ppl have short memories.
Still give me a goosebumps in 2024
