I think the 1976 is the saddest. Like, she got what she always wanted (to be loved and accepted) and is even crying tears of joy when she's made the prom queen, only to be completely humiliated and have the happiest moment of her life ruined.
My favorite version is with Sissy Spacek. I was so happy to see her happy. She so deserved to be. This was her chance to come out of her shell and discover herself, and love. But, it was not to be. Such hate in the world, even now 😔
1976 Carrie is such a sad movie. I don’t even consider it horror. The way she looks so happy when she’s with Tommy and then when they become king and queen, it’s so beautiful. It breaks your heart when they pull that prank on her
i love 1976 & 2013. Not so sure about the other movie. But out of all the Carrie's, Sissy Spacek really knew how to execute and deliver a performance. Sure she's very timid, but their was something about Sissy who added more depth to her.
I'll admit, I went to my senior prom, but I knew I can't be voted Prom Queen since no one in my school knows who I am since I'm mostly a loner and hardly talked to anyone, plus the voted during Prom didn't work like in Carrie, the voting happens before Prom
In Australia we don't have proms we have formals No king or queen Speeches from team captains and high scorers and musicians and artists and teachers Formals usually happen the night before graduation followed by a HUGE party somewhere Then schoolies, a right of passage road trip to a series of parties that is from what I can tell similar to spring break in North America and Europe but ours are in Summer

Thanks for your video. I'd like to share a little story with you. I graduated 1989, at the age of 19. Here in the Netherlands, we did not have such a thing as prom night yet. But we did fantasize about it, because it was a subject in many teen movies. "You could have become Prom King", was what I heard quite often. "Because of my grades?", I asked. My grades were my only positive aspect coming to mind. I was not good-looking, a clumsy dancer and destined to become the party's wallflower who never ends up with a date. "Because you're... just... yourself", someone said. "You never fitted in, but at least you were honest to yourself." I ended senior year alone, missed out on all the private parties, spent Summer holiday in Italy with my parents. Holiday suddenly ended when our car crashed out of some local Dead Man's Curve. Glad all of us escaped without injuries. I went on to become a student at Eindhoven University of Technology. My mother suggested me to join a student dance society. Several years later, I entered a series of dance competitions which were held twice a year in Germany and the Netherlands. The October 2016 edition was held in Utrecht and was themed "High School". And yes, it included a Prom Night with a King & Queen election. I was still a rather clumsy dancer, compared to the others (but not as clumsy as in 1989). I was a 46-year-old alumni meanwhile, who left behind student culture, missing out on all those official black and white tie parties (mostly association anniversary balls). I actually found someone who would like to be my date for the prom (actually, because I have been knowing her for 10 years at these events). We candidated ourselves for the election, giving ourselves little to no chance. - all those others were better dancers - all those others had more contacts/connections - all those others had more ways to practice - all those others knew all the rituals and how to prepare for them The both of us won the election! Not even close, but with 95% of all votes! Someone must have called a few favours... ;) I had to do a speech, in which I referred to 30 consecutive events attended and this being the first ever prize I won. My thoughts were with my mother, who passed away the year before and used to call me "my little Prince"... well, the little Prince became a Prom King... Moral of the story: don't change just for the sake of someone else's pleasure. JUST BE YOURSELF, AND SOMEDAY, SOMEONE WILL ACCEPT YOU AS YOU ARE.
The announcer in the black and white dress is wearing the same vintage Valentino gown that Julia Roberts wore when she won the Oscar for Erin Brokovich.

That pretty much go for the other two Carrie as well.pretty fucked had to do that her..
1976 is the best. Something about Carrie in that moment. She started to shine. You can see how scared, happy, and disbelief she was.
Carrie looked georgus in every version 🌹! Such a lovely smile she had!
The 1976 version make me cry
Same.
They couldn't just let her have one night to be a princess, one night to feel beautiful and loved....
1:34 aww that smile 😭❤️

I can relate to the 1976 version Carrie. I was bullied as well. Though they never threw anything at me. I can still relate

That’s really cool lol

Wearing baseball cap with gown prom 🤣
My request is that can you add upload introduce stand by me movie (start from the beginning of this movie) & American pie clips?
I love Carrie’s (Chloe Grace Moretz) face at 14:01
Personally I think Tobias Mehler in Carrie 2002 is the most handsome Tommy Ross.
Yes he is. ❤️
I litterally was a Tommy Ross
I took a lonely bullied girl to the highschool formal she went to my cousin's school
I paid for her dress and makeup
All her bullies looked shocked and jealous and she had the time of her life
A few of the her bullies tried to steal me away from her and I told their dates, they go pissed at them and refused to dance with them
My date was over the moon
She had a great night, her bullies who told her no one would take her got dumped at the dance floor and they got into arguments
She got cherred by everyone
I ended up taking her on a road trip to the gold coast and to snorkel ship wrecks and swim with dolphins on Moreton island
I also attended her graduation party and that was a load of fun
We were never a couple but the confidence she got
She told me her entire highschool life was complete shit and she wanted to forget it all
But I was the light at the very end of a long dark tunnel
And yes I was her first, we knew we weren't going to be a couple and she was fine with that, and I went out of my way to both be a gentleman to her and please her in several ways on graduation night
It was like she went through 6 years of torment and had a few great days at the end and a perfect night of graduation party
And I thought it was great because that year I got to go to two formals and two graduation parties
Hers and my own
Now she's a personal trainer and a former catelogue model, married with two kids

@@patriciaolivera7716 thank you
I try to encourage the younger guys in my family to be the same

Make the main title of Carrie 1976 2002 2013 and the birth of Carrie
The only colors I would see, Is red and blue
14:05 Song please.
It reminds me of the church song i keep hearing
@@blue_raptor2962 Can you tell me the lyrics?
Nevermind, it's the Thomas Ewen High School song and it is sadly not available anywhere.
The love songs at the prom were sung by Amy Irving's (the girl who played Sue) sister. I didn't know that until I read the credits on the back of my soundtrack LP. Beautiful songs and lyrics
I loved the first one. Saw it at the theater when it came out. Didn't like the others.
YOu cannot beat the original and sissy playing carrie, the other two is a joke!
