I love your work and follow you all the time. You always make it look so easy and that is how I got started making wreaths for the past three years. ❤❤❤
Took me a while but even though it wasn’t perfect, it was very satisfying. I think everyone should make one. If you haven’t made this pedal before you should be able to by the time your done. You have been one I have watched since I started.
I want to add that there is maybe a tiny fraying, but as she said you would be cutting it off. I use this mesh quite a lot and have to burn most the time. Go ahead and challenge yourself.
Beautiful.. 2 helpful hints.. If you use your mesh cutter on the rails it saves your hands from the scissors and with the zip ties once you pull them through use a pair of pliers to tighten it down instead of your hands.. It helped me 100% . Stay safe
Gorgeous Gorgeous!! I'm going to try this one. I've been hesitant about working with poly burlap because of the fraying but I will give this a try. Thanks Donna 🙏❤
I CANNOT wait to try it! I tried a sunflower and it was okay but the raveling..oy! I've got my frame out and hope to get started tomorrow. Thanks, Donna. 💕
Hi Donna, thanks for the chat , and very impressive to hear your hair salon so well equipped hair salon. I would have felt safe there too. That’s wonderful. How are you? So this is the new petal and it looks quite easy, and most of all, happy you can cut it with the roller, not the wood burner. I think that’s wonderful. Its looking just
That wreath is so beautiful and you make it look so easy! It's my first time viewing your channel and I'm going to subscribe so I can see more of your creativity. Thank you!
It helps with your fingers to use a pier of pliers to pull zip tie closed. Just wanted to share that with you. Great job. Also I think they sell left handed scissors. Also bend the zip ties like a u shape and feed through back of frame, it makes it easier to load the zip tie. Just another tip.
Pamela Bates thanks, they are open here, but I don’t choose to go yet. My husband cut it for me with some direction from me. I was a beautician right out of high-school .
I always use a soldering iron to cut through the poly burlap and my deco mesh. It cuts way down on the raveling!! Beautiful job!!Have a fabulous day!!!
Me too! I was leary at first bcuz I have emphysema but I got those masks from dollar general in the automotive section and it doesn't bother my lungs at all. I love it when doing flower wreaths or any wreath that I want use a double colors together. It seals the pieces together so I get the color effect I'm looking for. Before I got my burner and wanted a double layered ruffle for a color effect it just wasn't staying in place. Now if I'm tripling a red white n blue piece I of course want to let each color shine thru on its own so I do use my worx zip snip for those or anything I don't want to sealed together. I too watch Julie I love her flowers and ideas.... she did a mix of purple n blue for a peacock theme color and it is beautiful. I bought the wood burner right after and made myself one but did a different type of center. I get so many compliments on it. Been hooked on the wood burner ever since.
I bought mini clear rubber bands from Amazon and us those to wrap around petals instead of zip ties. Then attach to wreath frame with zip tie! So much easier. Just thought I would share with you! 💗
Julie also makes a nonravel petal with 21” deco mesh:) I love your layers and anxious to try it! Thank you! Those flower centers are always out of stock! They are so much better to use:)
Gorgeous. If you use zip ties a lot you need to go on Amazon and get you a zip tie gun. It helps so much with those zip ties. It tightens and cuts. They are not very expensive maybe $15.
WOW!!! That was a lot of work, but it’s very pretty:) I had a hard time seeing how you folded the outside of the flower can you please show that step again maybe in a lighter color? Thank you:) I would love to try this but make it as a sunflower:) I haven’t seen this before, who ever comes up with these ideas are very talented:) I’m glad to hear how your nail shop took so many precautions to make their shop is as safe as they can. We here in Calif. are not at that step yet maybe next week. I’m just disappointed that very few people are wearing masks. Any way Have a fabulous week end and stay safe and healthy:) oh yes by the way I cut my hubby’s hair and it camp out pretty good, like you said it’s hair and it is going to grow back:)
Another tip: I use gloves to assist with manipulating this material, so far I’ve used 100% cotton, white gloves that photographer’s use for handling film and photographs. They’re washable and reusable of course. They come 10 in a pack, after awhile the cotton material stretches so before you’re finished with your project you may need to change to another pair. And as a reminder, there’s all types of gloves you can pick up on Amazon to help with your projects, gloves for cutting, Gloves for mechanics, leather or suede gloves for rough projects like yard work, they not only protect your hands but Give you added strength you may need to do your project.
I bet you could take a marker with a string attached and make a circle we’re you want your ties to go. Just a thought. Find center of plastic mesh use something in the middle to tie a string to. Tie string to your anchor and pen. Then mark a circle around plastic mesh. Hope this helps. Heck I don’t know. I tried it and the petals came out at the same distance. Give it a go. You may love it or hate it. Lol
Beautiful wreath. Will try it. Enjoy your channel especially your caring arritude and fun sense of humor. Were you a teacher at one time? God bless and be safe.❤️
My mother was a teacher and school administrator and I was a teacher and librarian for 42 years and was a sub for several years after retiring. I relax when watching your’ lives’. I have been making wreaths for about 1 1/2 years and still enjoy learning at 71. God bless.
You can get a pkg of small rubber bands at dollar tree and use to hold petals in stead of zip ties to hold petals after you make them. They come 500 in a pkg.
They have to be very tight, so I use zip ties. One of my followers said she use small clear elastics from Amazon for the petals and then zip ties for the frame.
I love your work and follow you all the time. You always make it look so easy and that is how I got started making wreaths for the past three years. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much 😊

Thanks for the info!
You are such a welcome blessing! Thanks for this great post and video!
💞 beautiful, great video 💞💜
here is a tip- I use pliers to pull the zip ties tight, saves the fingers a lot or soreness. Nice tutorial. Tks.
Gorgeous Gorgeous!! I'm going to try this one. I've been hesitant about working with poly burlap because of the fraying but I will give this a try. Thanks Donna 🙏❤
You're nails look lovely! 😉
Very pretty. 💜💜💜✌✌Have a super fantastic weekend. Sherry
Suggestion: use a needle nose pliers to grab the zip tie and pull, or any tool you can use to grab the end of your tie to pull it through.
A pair of needle nose piers work great for the zip ties. Craft stores have some in the jewelry departments.
Great job Donna ! turned out really pretty

I am an RN

I won't to now how to do it
Love this, had to share 😍
Yes she does Julie's wrearh boutique
Good afternoon Donna
Nice..could you use chenille stems instead of zip ties?
Yes you can!
You can use needlenose pliers to pull zip ties too!
Just ordered a zip tie puller. Don't know if it will be a help or a hindrance but we shall see
You can get a pkg of small rubber bands at dollar tree and use to hold petals in stead of zip ties to hold petals after you make them. They come 500 in a pkg.
Sharon Quinn thanks
What size canvas did you use? Ties fit better if you use 5 count canvas and 18pound ties.
This was 7 lb. I was unable to get 5 lb. although that is what I wanted.
Hi love your demos how is your hands mine ache after using zip ties Irene Scotla d
Actually not too bad, but I stop every so often. It just doesn't show that in the video
I love this! What is the center material your using?
i went and got mine done too, mine were awful.
Hi, I love your wreaths. Your flowers are so beautiful. What size centers do you use?
I use a variety of sizes
I'm struggling to make all my petals the same size😩. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. This is my 1st attempt at making a wreath.
It really just takes some practice. You can always measure them with a ruler but keep trying and they will be fine.
Love it!
Julie uses a Woodburn that keeps the poly burlap from fraying
I do also
I see you have a Cricut machine. What do you make. Thanks for the tutorial.
Lots of things. Check my video lists and you will see some tutorials. I do one every other week or so. Last one I made paper dolls!
Where do get the does centerpiece and what you for in the back
The back is plastic grid that you can get at Hobby Lobby and the center is one I made.
Beautiful ❤ love it! I have been wanting to try it! Was one roll of mesh enough?
Where do you get the center? Do you make them? Beautiful ❣️
The center came from craftoutlet. They are hard to get right now
Can I use deco mesh to do this? I have a TON of it
Yes you can
Nice. A yellow center would have been better
Do you have to use zip ties for the petals or could you use pipe cleaners?
They have to be very tight, so I use zip ties. One of my followers said she use small clear elastics from Amazon for the petals and then zip ties for the frame.
Nice.
