I like it how crafting (powerful and unique) items used to be like an epic quest. You needed to find the plans first, then you needed materials. Not just any materials, but you needed valuable materials made by other masters of their professions. You needed to either have a shit load of gold, or network with other people who were master craftsmen. You had to work together and go on an epic quest to make a good weapon or piece of gear.
Ya when I was first getting into raiding in TBC I joined an entry level raiding guild at first. Once we hit 70 we were all working together to get each other the mats needed for our epic crafted gear for our mains and alts. Instead of having to all pay a bunch of gold to get the mats, we just worked together to help farm what everyone needed. Since everyone was helping each other get what they needed, nobody felt like they were getting the short end of the stick or were doing all the work for someone else’s benefit. That was my big introduction into the raiding scene and I thought it was really awesome how we all worked together to help each other so we could do our best in the raids. It was a pretty small guild so we only had enough main raiders to do Kara, but not the rest of T4, so after a few months I ended up joining the guild my uncle was in to continue progression. But I’ll never forget my first raiding guild experience because of that journey we all went on to help each other out. Those were good times!

I play TBC and have mining + engi on rogue and tailoring + engi on mage. have to say, engineering is desgusting. I am a 41 rogue and I beat level 50+ players. iron grenades, sapper charges, goblin land mines, goblin mortar . its very fun. and on mage, I use frost traps which means I have another frost nova in my kit. lol
i miss my lvl 19 rogue with +30 AGI on one weapon, Crusader on the other. so fun
there was +15 agi on onehanded and +25 on twohanded weapons

I hit the gold cap several times over, just not legitimately. What you could do is go into an instance, then immediately leave. If you got a couple people doing this over and over again, within 200 repetitions, the server would go to shit and do an auto-rollback to something like 5 minutes prior. If you traded all your gold to someone else right before the rollback, you'd both come back with the gold. I owned the biggest chinese goldfarmer collection guild on the server (and the first!), so it was pretty easy to get ~60k gold together, and then within only a few trades we all had hundreds of thousands of gold.

I'm the guy who will be mining a node and i see some pheg roll up to try and ninja the ore and I'll shift-right click to prevent myself from auto-looting the ore and I'll hold the loot window open. This prevents the other pheg from trying to mine it. And I'll sit there all day if i have to for the ninja pheg to move on. It's mine, now leave.

Why has no one recommended Asmon to play Grim dawn? It's just as well known as Path of Exile.

Engineer should have just been a spec for Hunter. Giving you the ability to craft robotic companions and such. Would be a lot better than Survival.

Crystal charges are available for free with unlimited supply and have the same dmg output as dark iron bombs. So for PvE neckbeards Engi is not a must have as crystal charges are instant cast which makes them arguable better for PvE
