One of the best shows to ever be on TV. Tim was the man who wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he sure was fun trying to figure life out. All the characters were spot on, and it was sad day when the show went off the air.

Jill Taylor was EXACTLY like my mom. Her personality and sense of humour was spot on. The way she put Tim in his place was the exact same way my Mom put my Dad in her place. My mom passed away 10 years ago and watching Home Improvement brings back hilarious memories. My dad loves watching it too for the same reason. He always says that there was no one like my Mother. The words of my Dad “She never put up with my shit and that is why I could never remarry. There was no other woman like her”. 😂

@piggy kid no1 The latter seasons Jill episodes were really bad. Even dragged Wilson down.
The one with the car she bought. In a previous episode when Tim wanted to buy something he wanted by himself, the lesson was compromise (from 40 tickets to 7) and he should consult her, but in the car episode he is still the bad guy, when she got mad, left him in the parking lot for the car delearship, got home and bought a car. He tried to make amends, saying that she should buy a car she wants (after he had to wait in parking lot for the dealaship guy wo take him home), not knowing she went behind his back. Keep in mind the family already had 2 cars (one that was considered primarly hers) and a restauration project. The writers had to bend themselves, making Tim steel her new car. And her new purchase being just that dam perfect. Really? Somehow, she not knowing anyithing about cars, just hired a mechanic to buy her a perfect car.
My personal worst was the feminist one. In that Brad's girlfriend was coming over to do his clothes and make him sandwiches of her own volition. What teen does that? She wasn't even living with him. A college roommate episode or something like that. But, no. Why would you go to someone else's house to do their laundry? If it was just a simple she likes to make food for Brad and be homely, then that would be more believable. But that can't be used for Jill to have her feminist rant about boys not treating girls link slaves. The entire plot of the episode was just annoying. And the moral of training your husband and kids. Why? Marriadge is a partnership. You do not train your partners. You work with him. Dragged Willson too down. He was trained by this feminist writer to do things for her, and that was just the good thing to do. Because women can't like cooking and cooking is evil. And we needed the image of Willson in a pink apron, being emasculated. Not him doing something nice. Being trained to take women responsabilities.
I'm sorry but she was the worst character there. Every win Tim got, she still never truly apologised. Best were Tim and Al. Tim was overly enthusiastic, but he went to great lengths to help his friends, family and even strangers.

Then after he thought she decided not to and takes the helmet off she throws another one classic. But I think my favorite fight is the one where Jill left the hot rod out. It was her fault but she tried to blame Tim. And the best classic line tim says. U are really good u mess up and I’m getting yelled at. I like Jill but she sometimes was hard on Tim. And could never admit to being wrong.

Was there an episode where Jill wore like a santa outfit that was kinda short? Because that started a childhood fantasy and now everytime I see her I think of it lol. Her thighs, and the lady from Third Rock from the Sun. You can tell i grew up in the 90s lol.

I don’t know if it’s on the list but there was one time when Jill parked his hot rod outside and it got covered in snow. Tim found out, but she turned it all around on Tim and all he could do was stammer in agreement, then when he realized what he said he says to Jill “Oh you’re good! YOU screwup and I get yelled at!”

She always did that. The episode where she bought her new car. She left him in a car delearship and went behind his back. But the writers had to portrait Tim in the wrong. He needed to steel her new car. And the car she bought, whithouth knowing anti thing about cars, was so perfect. A better lesson would have been to work together. To consult with your significant other.
