Annecy, a lakeshore city that is situated-as the crow flies-about midway between those other two locales. With a mountain backdrop and a crystal-clear lake in the foreground, Annecy is a vibrant locale and a visual jewel. Last year one French organization, after surveying more than 34,000 municipalities, scored Annecy as the best place to live in France. In this alpine setting an hour south of Geneva, the Thiou River drifts out of the glacial lake into a picturesque old town crisscrossed by bridges. Its three canals, all lined with bright flowers, endow this city with the nickname “Venice of the Alps,” but Annecy may even be prettier than Venice, too.

Non, il n’y a rien de naturel dans ce reportage. Si vous y venez , vous verrez que cette vidéo date des années 80, à l’époque où on ne se marchait pas sur les pieds dans la rue, ni au bord du lac. Maintenant et depuis 2015, les anneciens s'en vont à la pelle parce que Annecy est devenue comme Venise une cité où c’est le sur‐tourisme de masse avec beaucoup de voyous, de ploucs et des incivilités à longueur de journée et de nuit... Vite, fuyez, passez votre chemin, ça ne vaut même plus le détour. Même les restaurateurs en ont marre, c’est dire ...
La région savoyard fait partie du sud car elle a ensoillement typique de montelimar en été les pluies sont rare là bas et même si il pleut l après midi le temps se dégage

I was up in the mountains in more old parts villages and stayed in a home as guest way up in remote hillside,it had huge panoramic view but long winding routes.

The boat rowing looks enticing! We have so few places and local access to such here in the USA in most cities. In San Francisco only a very small lake up in the major park.
