    Hi Matt!!! Great video man!!!!Kudos!! In the cardiac power intervals method you said "maximum effort work". What do you mean with maximum effort work? 80%-100% of max heart rate? Thank you

    • @TheMovementSystem
      @TheMovementSystem  5 місяців тому +3

      The highest pace you can sustain for the work duration (ex: 90 seconds) That will typically get athletes to near max HR by the end of the work interval especially on the 4th, 5th, 6th effort.

    Great video, thanks for the information!
    Do you have any information on how long it takes to see significant improvement and for that significant rate of improvement to start slowing? For example (with made up numbers), a recreational athlete might see a 20% improvement after 3 months, but that 20% improvement every 3 months cant go on forever and eventually it will slow. It would be nice to have a rough idea if it is after 6 months, 2 years, 5 years? Thanks again!

    • @servancian
      @servancian 4 місяці тому +1

      yep. exercises to do zone 2 training are limited if you want to properly do them - indoor versions of common cardio (run, bike, swim) work best

    • @k4s461
      @k4s461 4 місяці тому

      I would argue that using different exercises are best for the Intervals because you can go all out. For example at the sled or boxing bag.

      yes its 100% true that top level athletes across all sports are using some form of performance enhancing drugs, whether that be during the offseason or in competition.
      When there’s glory, money, or respect to be gained there are certainly going to be people who will do whatever to get an advantage. Then, the ones on the fence about the morality of using PEDs can easily be tipped when they say to themselves, “everyone else is doing it and i want to win”

    • @DKYtut
      @DKYtut 3 місяці тому +1

      It's being able to fight and grapple for whole 5 whole minutes that makes them elite, you forgot that they do all do this while having a very high base of strength and power output along with fighting skills and whole body muscle endurance.
      Go do 20 minutes of hard sparring in a combat sport and you will realize it's totally different than jogging for a long time.
      A marathon runner would be tired after grappling for 1 round but an elite MMA athlete of lighter/ middle weightclasses can jog a marathon allthough ofcourse with a slower pace.
