Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock band from Texas. The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their elaborately developed guitar work, narratively styled instrumentals, what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies," and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows. They primarily play with three electric guitars and a drum kit, although band member Michael James will at times exchange his electric guitar for a bass guitar.
09:06 imagine having that much passion to do anything
Best song by Explosions ever
Oh, 100 f***ing % 🤟
This is truly a life-alternating song.
What the hell am I missing, life-altering cause I’m not getting those 10 mins back, for sure, but how else??? I didn’t hear a single lyric
@robstack3712 go listen to nickelback then..
I think it could be 😮 then again some people don't get it.
@robstack3712, but we hear you're shallow stupid lyrics very clearly 😅 Nickelback man
How can this not have a million views
Might be my most viewed UA-cam video tbh
go out for a run to this song...its so uplifting...its truly their masterpiece...but then I think that about many of their songs.
To be honest I miss them and I definitely miss their long tracks
Cant count the times i listened to this song and never saw it performed live
starting from 5:49> .. I think it might just be my favorite part from any Explosions song..
One of the best songs ever written, and I say that without any intention of being hyperbolic or overly enthusiastic.
Had forgotten they're a quintet now. I got to go listen to Sigur Rós earlier this year, EitS is still on my bucket list
There I was, it was the day before I went on a huge adventure when I was 21, I was there at the Metro Theatre that night. I remember this vividly from around 9:00 onwards, still, 10 years later as probably the best thing I have ever experienced.
It prepared me for life, and prepared me to accept death. What a night.
This is just magical
That second half is a kick in the pants
How could 2 people not like this?
Christopher Doggett They were so overcome with stupifying wonder that they moved their mouse cursor a few pixels too far to the left by mistake. Happens to the best of us.
+Upper Pyramid looooool
There are many people that don't like this type of music...maybe its reason that sometimes the world does feel like a cold dead place ....
Long live EITS and their beautiful and optimistic music
Bieber or Rap/hiphop fans...
for sure these guys help you reflect on the true you
perhaps you are listening on your phone...I've watched most of the videos from the Sydney show and it sounds exactly like them...thanks for sharing Moshcam..
Coisa Linda.
Nice concept on the sound of life
The version live at The Starlight Ballroom takes it a bit further
a little further😮
que tremendo pedazo de canción locooo, de lo mejor de ETIS
subanle en volumen
the best
goosebumps
My favorite book series.
RL Stine
They closed with this track when I saw them in Lincoln, NE in late September. Not their most stand out track but definitely one of my favorites. I'm not sure if the song was modeled after the Steinbeck novel of the same name but it mirrors the tone and pace of the novel almost perfectly. I would love to know if specific works inspired other tracks so directly.
Calm, serene, yet powerful.
Perfeitos
Excepcional
I didn’t realise EITS had their own Johnny Greenwood
The advertisements destroy this
insane
This band prepares you for death..... i felt my soul while listening em' at first....
Intense.
What was the pole like thing Munaf was using the beginning to get OOOO sound?
ebow

"This band prepares you for death" ?, I'M IN THE WRONG PART OF UA-cam
PORRA AUMENTA ESSE VOLUME GENTE CARALHO !
Fucking lit, man
Elite Boxing brought me here
What was that thing over the pick ups on the blue strat making that noise?
Its an E-bow, meant to sound like a bow on a violin. It works by electromagnetically vibrating the strings. It's the same effect they use in Postcard from 1952, both combined with a slide.
+Chris Maier do you know own what guitar the brown one is?
i dont think he felt alive on there. he just need a headset.
The ballroom version is better I think.
audio recording at the venue is horrible on this, doesnt even sound like them
needs more rapping
chris Rr needs more auto-tune crooning
Needed more distortion.
Your hand in mine is my favorite song of all time and it bothers me that every other song by them that i have heard sucks ass
On behalf of all EITS diehards, go away.
you must be trying very hard to not like a band you obviously like...I really don't follow your comment..
No way this sucks ass lmao that’s wild
Omg
