I bought the PVD one for £276 brand new from an AD in the UK. It was on sale and such a steal at that price. I absolutely love it and I've worn it non stop now compared to my Breitling and Tudor's!
Fantastic work with the video, this is my favorite version of this watch and I'm currently saving for one. Can't wait until I have enough because it's my dream affordable field watch.
@@lokddhci7692 50m WR does NOT mean it can withstand any water activities above 50m in depth. It's just a pressure rating that is measured in very static conditions.
Yes I find the hands distracting when I watch other people's reviews especially if they have cuts or dirty fingernails and for my videos I want people to focus on the watch so I want my hands to disappear be pure white
I owned the previous version of this watch that had the eta 2801-2 high beat movement inside and I definitely agree that it’s a great value and there is a lot to like about this watch. The only thing I didn’t like is that it only looks good on nato, which are my least favorite straps. I tried to pair it with a cordura strap but because of the long lugs and because of the drilled holes on the very bottom of the lugs, there was just too much space in between the case and strap. The nato is probably the only straps that will fill those gaps, so If you like nato then this watch is fantastic!
I wish they hadn't slowed down the movement on this watch. I like a long power reserve but this watch is so utilitarian that I think the smoother sweep would have given this watch a more refined feel. Love Hamilton regardless.
Nope, it doesn't. That's incorrect information in the review. With that said, the white dial has less of a problem with reflections. I have the black dial one and there's a lot of glare.
@@EscapementWatch Appreciate the response! I'm rather conflicted on which way to go. I much prefer the black dial, however that glare does appear to be something serious.. If only Hamilton added a proper AR coating to the KFM line, I wouldn't be faced with this dilemma..
Good looking watch...Glad you showed the white one since it seems to be one you don't see reviews of as often. Looks great on you. Awesome review as always. wild ride on the timegrapher. Can we see the bronze one?
A well priced super readable no flash functional no nonsense field watch is my take away from this review FT, well done! You found a gap in my watch collection that has generated an itch that I might just have to scratch at some point. I have to agree that manual wind watches enforce that extra connection with the watch if like me you wind it at the same time each day. This is definitely one of the best every day mechanical watches likely to leap onto my list.
Always enjoy your videos! Hamilton is a great value. 38mm is just too small, for me. 42/43 is my sweet spot. This size works well for many people like you with smaller wrists.
nope. Hamilton paid for the movie. Hamilton website even states *Featured in Sonic the Hedgehog (2020). Worn by Tom Wachowski, played by James Marsden.
This video looked absolutely gorgeous. Obviously, the Hamilton Khaki Field is a great watch, and the white dial is my favourite, and mine, but I'm not sure it looks even as good to the naked eye as it does in this video! Beautifully shot, cheers man.
@@EscapementWatch You're a talented man! They are beautiful in their own right too, mind. And you're right, that winding sound and feel is an absolute joy.
@@EscapementWatch It's the beige dial with black numberals and date. It's a great looking piece but boy the flecto bugs me! I'd add AR myself if I could.

Which dealer? That’s insane!
@@danielwiles5869 It was from Ernest Jones, used my student discount on it too (20%).
Lug to lug to large for me to wear it on a nato. Saving up for a Pilot Pioneer.
I have a Khaki field chrono 38 mm, and I love it. This one is very nice too.
Excellent video and amazing watch
Fantastic work with the video, this is my favorite version of this watch and I'm currently saving for one. Can't wait until I have enough because it's my dream affordable field watch.
Much appreciated!
Since we both are in the pursuit of a Longines, it would be nice to see the new spirit titanium!!!!
Would like to get one in hand in the next couple months
Either we have the same taste in watches or u know what watch I am eyeing..!
The black dial version paired with a rubber strap is my "do anything, go anywhere watch". Excellent review!
Thanks for watching and input
50m WR thooooughhh... beautiful watch, but that WR excludes it from water activities.

Are the gloves really necessary? You're not handling a Picasso. Good review. Thank you.

WOW NICE SHOT
Bring the bronze one in for a review soon eh.
Will try to grab one in the future.

Great video
Thanks!
Nice watch but Hamiltons are heavily discounted on the grey market.
It looked more like the khaki automatic in Sonic 😉
yes but is is the mechanical according to Hamilton
@@EscapementWatch them guys, right 😂 apparently they are I need of getting their models identified better

Not to big on natos but the stock strap is great comfort and I would wear it on that for sure.
I also owned the old one. That and these new ones go well with the thicker boneto cinturini straps.
you got it right. That's my problem with my hammy as well. Nevertheless its a bang for buck watch.
I wish they hadn't slowed down the movement on this watch. I like a long power reserve but this watch is so utilitarian that I think the smoother sweep would have given this watch a more refined feel. Love Hamilton regardless.
I picked up the black dial on the leather recently and absolutely love it. Managed to get 15% off too which was nice. Well recommended 👌
So does this model have AR? I was under the impression that Hamilton didn't put AR in the Khaki Field Mechanical series.
Nope, it doesn't. That's incorrect information in the review. With that said, the white dial has less of a problem with reflections. I have the black dial one and there's a lot of glare.
amazing watch... It will be my next purchase, but I doubt if black or white
oh man such a tough choice...i dunno
@@EscapementWatch the most faithful to the original is true black, but white is really pretty... hard choise
I went with the black and couldn't be happier with it but it comes down to personal preference.
I've been eyeing the one with the brown dial and tan strap. Great video. Thanks.
Good choice!
Great review. Do you prefer the white or black dial?
White as the reflections on the sapphire are minimized with the white

Can you also review the Khaki King?
I will put it on the list of possible future reviews.
You forgot to check the weight!!!
It's bloody light I'll tell you, comparable to the older 38mm seiko 5s... That's how my kf automatic 38mm feels.
The mechanical is even lighter
The weight was checked but it was edited out by mistake sorry about that.

65g

on the SONIC Movie its a IWC because James Marsden its an IWC ambassador--

I have this watch and absolutely love it. that white dial with black indices is stunning. I also have the black PVD one - equally awesome.
oh yeah the black pvd one is sweet!
I have the Khaki Field with the date window and I'm very happy with it. I would consider it a strap monster.

My Khaki automatic appears to have zero AR and it's a bit annoying!
maybe they improved it on the newest releases? or maybe the white dial is really helping. is yours black dial?
