Did you agree with the review?
David is editing his Maria explained video, so please stay tuned.
I truly like your raw, honest and brave opinion. I stan Danny!
IN MY OWN OPINION Danny give a good critiques IT'S JUST MY OPINION, IT'S JUST ME, MYSELF, AND I.
DKDKTV don’t agree with nothing he says
The editing 😂👌🏻
Yep I really enjoyed your review, I definitely got the Billie sound from Zico's produced song Kidding - it doesn't really fit with the overall them of Hwasa's Maria album but it's still a good song. Thanks for posting and best wishes for your Band debut!!
Hwasa deserves more fame cuz SHE DESERVES IT! and less hate (am not saying he is hating tho)
This sentence literally makes no sense and I don't know why it has so many likes. Is this an inside joke I missed or something?
"Deserving" is the action of being fairly reward for something you accomplished, the reason for deserving something physically and logically cannot be "cuz she deserves it" lol. She can deserves fame cuz of her talent and for making a nice album, you can't deserve fame "cuz of deserving", that's just not how that word works.
Among the present popular or famous kpop groups mamamoo n BTS r the only great Artists at the moment others r just idols of their respective companies... they r leading the kpop image in the better direction...
@@hitzthompson1484 Thank you. Preach. I always say BTS and MMM are not idols, they are artists.
@@charred6683 the reason for writing she "deserves" it ... it's because the person is implying she deserves the recognition because of her talent, her music, her voice. She deserves the fame because she is an amazing singer, awesome performer and a genuine artist who puts out good music. I think you may be new to the internet, this is how people write stuff over here.
Charred context. It’s sad to always point out grammar mistakes. As you pointed out, this post had more likes so i guess a good number of people understood what she is trying to say.
I stan many kpop groups and I've seen them do the love yourself concept many times especially these recent years .... but I have to say that Hwasa's album is the Most genuine and honest one .... the way she sings every single track with her whole heart and soul makes me cry .... I love this album , it is not that musically complicated, but I can actually FEEL that it is about her and her life ... not just pointing the 'I love me so much 'straight to your face....plus the strings in this album hit HARD , I really didn't think it would sit well with the title track , but it did
the last line that danny appreciated of LMM....had hit me like..
"EVEN THOUGH YOU FAIL TO LOVE YOURSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF THOSE HARSH CRITICISMS ABOUT HOW YOU ARE AND HOW YOU LIVE, YOU HAVE TO ATLEAST PRETEND TO BE HAVING HOPE AND LOVING YOURSELF JUST TO SURVIVE IN THIS EFFING WORLD"
#LOVEYOURSELFTOSAVEYOURSELF
I loved lmm....vocals n theme n mv everything soooo good.
this is so random but i really enjoy your reviews , at this point it seems like most youtubers make "reaction" videos about kpop just for the clout but with your videos i feel like i'm getting educated about not only kpop but also the Korean culture
All reaction channels are not same.. I know few who give honest reviews
Yes but I know a few that have honest reaction and they are music producers
*seem* is not a good wording, they *actually* do it for clout... except 4-5 you-tubers, DKDKTV included
yeah even if my opinion doesnt match his, at least he's not a clout chaser and actually articulates what he doesnt like so it's genuine
agree!!
Loved this review! Thanks, Danny.
I think the whole "love yourself" trope hits different with Hwasa because of the incessant hate she's been receiving since day one. She redefined K-pop beauty standards with her curves and beautiful coppery skin and is not afraid to own her sexuality and dress the way she wants. People hate on her HARD for that. She's always being called fat and much worse. She was told she'll never make it in the industry despite her talent. She got it in her head that she has to work three times as hard as anyone else to overcome the way she looks. This album is her facing all of that and because it's so personal and she struggled so much with the injustice of this industry and people being dicks, it just feels much deeper than the generic "self-love" k-pop theme.
Video hasn’t even started, already liked 😎
Me too
Of course! Who doesn't? :)
the album really has the feeling of bittersweetness. its the feeling of knowing that you should do to love yourself, but its so hard to do. you won't automatically start loving yourself just because you said it
I loved this review. You explained yourself beautifully. Although I might not agree on everything you said, I really appreciate your insight and enjoyed this review.
Yea I do agree with you Hwasa needs more respect n love than she is getting now
That's what I love about his reviews- even though I might have a completely different point of view than him (not talking about this review specifically), I always understand where he's coming from, which makes those reviews so enjoyable for me and makes me looking forward to them :)
But I wish he didn't treat his personal opinions as facts...
Loved the review! Although, for I´m bad too, it actually sets up LMM! There is a line DPR sings about whos shooting arrows which connects to the music video of LMM, where there is a ton of arrows (malicious comments) shooting at Hwasa. I feel the song is about sharing the sentiment (of insecurity) with someone, DPR acting as this person who feels the same, but also wants to help. Ultimately, the only person who can change this is Hwasa, singing LMM. :)
I also love the exchange between DPR and Hwasa when saying I´m bad too (I´m sad too). Its just a ´feel good´ song, its the only time we hear another voice that its not Hwasa and its the brightest song on the album, showing that when you´re with someone, although everything is still bad, you are a little happier when someone is there, this can be seen at the end of the Maria MV too, when the rest of the Mamamoo members surprise Hwasa.
Mots7 and maria album was the best kpop album of 2020
yes i think the same
Yeaaah no
Period
The Enygma I hope ur referring to the fact (not really a fact but might as well be) that Mots7 was a disappointment and def not as good as other albums that came out this year.
@@sids5514 Exactly what I'm saying.
Hwasa is my bias wrecker, so when I came to know she would appear on I Live Alone I was really excited. But through the show I got to see how different she is on-stage and off-stage. I got to see different side because she seems powerful and charismatic on stage but she is clumsy and sweet off-stage and I was happy to see that side of her. I really love her. And I hope she she continues putting out music. I really loved this album, it really left me speechless, and I can't wait for her next one!
I really like how you point out the theme from Intro to LMM - yet there is truly no closure. But surpringly through the music video we really do get that closure in the final scene (don't want to spoil) it truly elevates the song. Hope you can check it out (not a reaction though)
I personally enjoyed i am bad too i just kinda vibed i dunno it's my personal opinion i respect yours too
I don't liked at first but it's Hwasa it's hard no love everything that she does. Just seems not suiting the album idk but its not bad
It's maybe my favourite of the album personally 😂
My second favourite!!!
I get that it may be out of pIace from the album but enjoy it more than maria. no offense but it sounds new to me from hwasa or mamamoo. Streamed it more than her title track. It's on my repeat in spotify!
in my opinion it suites the album perfectly, especially the theme of it and DPR's lyrics just touch on the subject and vision of the whole album , also it is nice chill song to prepare for the emotional ending (only Kidding deviates from the meaning of the album but still the sound fits perfectly)
I get so mad when people call Hwasa an idol , no she is an ARTIST
Hwasa is the dictionary definition of a queen. Her vocal abilities and her visuals😭❤️
Ikr
ok let's be real now hwasa's whole album is actually way better than that mediocre overrated song of blackpink and i'm not saying this coz i hate or something lol it's just my own honest opinion anyway i do think hwasa has kinda world class talents that i still can't see in any other female Idol of nowadays
You don't have to bring them here
Washed, rinsed, and repeated and this is me saying this as a Black Pink fan👀 and as a multi fandom fan too. I’m mad at Teddy the producer at YG for giving them those lame instrumentals and let me find out who is the song writer who gave them those tepid song lyrics. They have the talent now serve Black Pink the product so we can all enjoy.
you’re speaking facts 😔👏🏻👏🏻
Sis I get what you're trying to say I really do and I agree, but why mention Blackpink. You don't have to degrade another group to praise Mamamoo. Blackpink did not have to be mentioned anywhere in this comment. You probably didn't realize but these are the type of comments that make people hate moomoos. Please just don't comment these types of things it hurts other people.
The thing is black pink are great people but the song wasn’t that good. They should change their producer or something.
The Latin break is kinda cool like the way there are two themes or two different instrumental like sicko mode but the thing with it is is the was too short and it was at the end , if it was a bit longer and in the middle it would HV been better
I think it would have been cool if they did two Maria song. Like a "performance" one *with* the break and a other *without* for the people awkward with it. :))
oOoGalantisoOo well, that’s cool but i don’t see why they should have to make a whole separate thing just for people who don’t like it, lmao like if you don’t like it you don’t like it.
*I really looked forward to your review of this album because you're one of the few UA-camrs who gives honest and genuine opinions and I love that...I really liked the album but it's great to hear your views on it even though it contradicts some of mine.*
*Also want you to review WOODZ (Cho seungyoun from X1,also was in a group called UNIQ and now goes under the name WOODZ as a solo artist) recent album he dropped called EQUAL and it's one of the my fav albums to be released this year.. hope you do it,well only if you're interested*
That was a well-spoken "honest review" indeed! I think you did the lyrics justice as a Korean and explained them really well with the theme of the album in mind so thank you. I'm glad there's more and more UA-camrs giving honest music criticism to Kpop! I feel like reviews like these help break down the stigma against kpop and its audience by showing the artistic and meaningful/sincere side to kpop that is often dismissed. It also challenges some kpop fans to view kpop songs in a critical lens whilst also helping them appreciate them on a deeper level. I hope discussing musicality in kpop can continue amongst reviewers and the audience, so that artistic integrity and sincerity can become a bigger focus in the industry. And hopefully that will mean more companies will give a bit more artistic freedom to their groups/soloists -- which I think is maybe already starting to happen, with soloists like Hwasa and a lot of idols writing their own music/lyrics. Excited to see your list of favourite albums so far!
Here's a list of my favourite albums/songs from Kpop this year so far. I would love to hear your opinions on them!
Kpop idol music:
-Golden Child: ONE (Lucid Dream)
A song which concludes the story arc of self-realisation/ actualisation that began with their older single Wannabe.
-Pentagon: Basquiat
An anthem proclaiming that rather than complying to the demands of this industry, they will maintain their own artistic integrity. It feels so empowering when you find out about the struggles this group went through, and the song even feels like it's advocating to all kpop artists as a whole.
-ONF: New World (RTK squad where ya at... MNET sucks but the groups deserved standing ovations)
(also, keen for more guitar solos in kpop!!!)
-Onewe: Q ft. Hwasa (their album ONE is pretty great!)
-BTS (J Hope): EGO (fav from MOTS: 7)
-Hwasa: Maria
Indie:
-Lee Jin Ah: Dangerous Dreaming
-Lucy: Flowering (Superband squad where ya at)
-Purple Rain: New World, and their entire album "Op.1"
aaaaaaand a hidden gem:
-DABDA: Journey (a relatively unknown rock band that I found through Spotify!!!)
Anyone reading this comment, feel free to comment your favourites!!!
it would have been better if he looked up her description of each track (on Melon), it just felt like half-assed review and some of the points he missed/misinterpreted
I like the EP Sumin just released - XX,
Sounds like all her other stuff but that's ok :)
I'm looking forward to albums from Hyangni & Lulileela/Seoulmoon (assuming they're releasing one, pretty sure they are)
As a moomoo I really enjoyed this! "Loving yourself" message is a bit different I felt like it had an undertone of embracing loneliness. Hwasa has a lot of stupid hate directed at her everyday so this album is her answer I feel like.
Am a fan of Hwasa
Girl is grounded and professional at her best everytime
Beautiful what's not to like!
Love from Kenya!!!!!
Maria is on my top 3 best albums this year, there is not a single song on the album that I didn't enjoy I'm honestly extremely impressed. Hwasa is proving herself to be such an amazing artist and the full package from being involved in the music production to skillful vocals to vivid live performances and charisma AND an amazing human being.
thank you so much for yout honest review! Some are similar to my thoughts, some are not. Your review on LMM got me like, YES SOMEONE FINALLY POINT THAT OUT! It is a cliffhanger song that states life is a journey and it does not mean we have to always find the closure for a moment, but leave it open.
im bad too was my favourite track 😭😭
saaame i love it
Sammmme
Like I get what he means........ but that song is lit ngl
I love the lyric, DPR's is really cute, his part has that big brother/best friend vibe
My favourite track on the album is "I am bad too". But I appreciate your inputs about the tracks.
I like this series because it's a good reminder that taste is subjective. I like the album. Hwasa is amazing in my eyes. LMM is so beautiful. I actually enjoyed I'm bad too. It has a bit of a Sergio Mendes vibe, I feel like it could fit into his Timeless album. I appreciated the context Danny provided about the songs. I'm glad y'all are doing this series. Because of it I've listened to artists I normally wouldn't. Keep it up!
Nice to hear you really break it down and go into details what you think about each track. Always keep it real and never back down from your honest opinion 🙌💯😎👍
Hwasa is really A Literal Queen in Music
I think that in this world there should be more people like danny, nowadays many people are afraid to express their true opinions, they prefer to say something that will please multitudes than to tell the truth.
I really appreciate sincere people. I truly like these series. Keep the excellent work.
(Ps: English is not my first language, sorry if i made any mistake.)
4:41 honestly the Hwasa that I appreciate the most is the loving, caring and funny Hwasa (Hyejin?) that shows up during TV shows, and such. She's a very lovable and down-to-earth person.
For this album, its like the best combination between a producer and an artist. Since park woosang(the main producer) was able to capture the whole theme and even understand how to work around with hwasa's vocal capabilities also he was confident to let hwasa take the lead. He created the intro and was hands on with lmm and why. During this process it can be seen that he was as hardworking to make this album personal for hwasa and for himself. For hwasa she did co-produce the album and even involved in composing, it doesnt have to be said that her vocal is superb and very flexible. It amazes me that she could make the minimal songs "Alive" like i love to explain it, i mean not many artist are capable to express feelings thru vocals only and im speaking as a non korean speaker i was able to understand her feeling.
on LMM, Hwasa is the main writer and composer of the song she even participated in the mastering and the production, for Why, Hwasa wrote the lyrics and Cosmic Sound made the song...
Hwasa was heavily evolved in the album working alongside with Park Woo Sang (they do have great teamwork and understand each other, the only one you can say he conveyed Hwasa's feelings and ideas is with Nobody Else since he just learned to speak English so he had to write the lyrics, and for I'm bad too, it is how they both felt)
Thank you so much Danny for being honest, I really appreciate it. Mamamoo just amazing. Each one of them is so talented, it's like 4 strong amazing soloist put together in one group called "Mamamoo". I'm sure most of y'all moomoos already heard this popular saying before "Believe and Listen to Mamamoo",this saying is so true. They never cease to amaze me. Ever since I got to know them, they raised my bar really high. I hope they got all the love cause they truly deserve it.
In English I guess you could refer to the album as a cyclical narrative in it ending the same way it began. I really really enjoyed this album - and actually really enjoy I’m bad too as well haha I think it’s a cute casual listen but it does feel slightly out of place in terms of being a PART of the album. Still a great song though ! :)
it doesn't feel out of place at all, especially the lyrics delve even more on theme of the album, plus it is chill track like a brake before the big finale
remberkd i just mean in terms of style , I do think it should have been on the album but I see where he comes from is all :)
Yeah, but she says love yourself in an honest way as she participated in the lyric writing and music production
THIS. It's a first hand experience instead of just waiting for some producer to give it to you "hey sing this love yourself feel good song"
I really really love the open ended end of the album. It makes the theme of loving yourself very real and relatable, cuz loving yourself is really not as simple as it is preached.
I love this review tbh. The album is just so beautiful. Hwasa is amazing. The tone of the album is so vast yet so personal.
Also, please do more reviews. More albums.
But most importantly, all the best for your band. ❤️ Will be looking forward to your debut.
I waited for this for so long!! I absolutely love this series
the video to LMM dropped today and oh my, literally said to watch
50 Shades of Hwasa, oooh spicy! 🌶.
I actually agreed with everything you said. I'm a huge fan of Hwasa (and MAMAMOO) and I thought your review was honest and detailed, you had valid reasoning as to why you did or didn't like certain elements to the songs/album with I respect and appreciated. I'm glad you hear that you enjoyed the album, I thought the quality was excellent and certainly one of the best releases I've heard this year :)
"You don't need a trophy but congratulations" yes this is the kind of energy I want in my videos
Great analysis for the Maria album.
I think that Moonbyul's album also deserves a review.
Danny praising an album and actually give it 4/5.. The album must be amazing
I think the latin part was to show her different part, like she changed to be better. I don't how to explain, but if u get it lol
I thought it was about Hwasa showing a certain face on stage and then quickly getting back to herself once she’s done with performing. She’s said in the past that the moment she is on stage she forgets everything and just focuses on the song. That would also explain the abrupt song-switching, as if being on stage was only a very short glimpse into her life.
I see it as a great opportunity for a performance . The song can be easily turned into that Latin beat witch can be a way to promote and refresh the song!
To be honest I love the switch ups through out the song, it give it that edge, especially if you listen to the audio with good speakers, it is a whole different experience and the switch ups flow smoothly
I loved the intro in this album. Totally my style of music.
LMM is my favourite one. today its MV (i think it is a movie) is released. so perfect 😗👌💜 LMM's message is so impressive : the person who hurts the most ourselves is again ourselves 🥺🥺
I very much enjoy her new album and related deeply to the overall message. I feel you spoke the truth when stating how most people in their twenties have self esteem issues and are confused about how to accept themselves. Whether they admit it or not. I personally have been spending the last few years trying to relearn how to love and care for myself. I admire your honesty and bravery for sharing yourself with this community and putting yourself out there. And I also enjoy you overall as a person! This next comment is sincere and not thirsty I swear lol. I love you Danny. Not romantically because I don't know you that well! But as an honest and growing person. I wish you happiness and love!
I respect your reviews.. honest reviews. I also could not keep it in the thing about the "latin" break in the Maria track. When we see the video, the latin dance break actually gives certain excitement like "whoa That's New", "ok that was creative". What I mean is for the audience as a performance that little break is everything. You get me? For live performances and Music Video I think it was important, it leaves an impression on the viewers. It also feels like HWASA wanted that part to show off something of that she really loves. In Previous stages Mamamoo tried a lot of new genres...and it's shows Hwasa loves that kinda style.
Only for the audio tho, I think they could have extracted the part...eemm y'know how artists sometimes remove the chitchat in the song. They could have done the same.
Yep I really enjoyed your review, I definitely got the Billie sound from Zico's produced song Kidding - but I think it doesn't really fit with the overall them of Hwasa's Maria album but it's still a good song. Thanks for posting and best wishes for your Band debut!!
Extremely thoughtful and interesting review, as we could expect from Danny! I loved Hwasa's album and personally liked "Kidding" the most. Hwasa as always didn't disappoint
Sometimes I think I'm lucky because I don't know anything about music theory and so on so I'm able to just enjoy music for the emotions it gives to me.
Anyway yes, many idols used the 'love yourself' theme but the difference is that many got the song from their company, because it's cool, it's trending. In Hwasa case she wrote the song because as an artist she needs to express herself, what she's feeling, what she's going through...this is what an artist does, without caring if the topic is fresh or not, an artist does music to give a message, to free his/her soul.
Thank you for the review, it's always interesting to watch things from a different point of view
I agreed with your BP review but I LOVED this! I know it’s been done but could not stop me from loving it!
I loved the Latin portion to Maria and it felt natural because Maria is such a spanish & catholic name tbh! My favorite tracks on the album are WHY and LMM. The lyrics and the production are so exquisite!! It's a good album which feels complete and very introspective while also being really inspiring.
I didn’t know her name was Maria, the name brings out her true self! I love that side of her she’s bomb!!
Honestly, I only listened to LMM when the MV dropped and I had goosebumps the entire time... there are so few lyrics considering it’s length but damn, it hit hard
Keep it up with these honest reviews, Danny! It's refreshing, really. Especially now that youtube is just filled with reactors/reviewers who are just in it for the likes and the views. I'm a Mamamoo fan but I'm okay with people not liking their music as everyone has their own preference, as long as they are not rude. I really appreciate how you listened to the whole album. If ever you get attacked by haters in the future, just listen to the Maria album. It'll give you a lot of strength :)
I found the real hwasa in the mini album , she's a queen 👑
I'm so happy you reviewed the entire album because the beginning and the end really do match. I love the fact that she contributed to most tracks because as you said the " love yourself" is really basic now as a theme but when the singer actually write or produces the said music it makes it genuine and I love it. I think she deserves her success if not more.
I think in Maria there were many different vibes because she meant to show that she went from sad to crazy and the latin part was her being the most hyped idk lol
But I didn't know about the wordplay with MARIA it's dope !!!!
i love the intro too💖 ohhh mariaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSSSSS
Hwasa should be Korea’s IT girl
She IS extremely popular in Korea :)
she is part of the most popular female idols of her generation tho
Wasn't Hwasa already named Korea's IT girl last year? I mean she still is.
She is korea's it girl tho
Bruh she is. The power she holds.
I actually really enjoy your reviews, u always give out constructive criticism and try to be objective
Thank you Danny for your honest review. 👍😗👌 I am really sick of overreacted fake youtubers who scream a lot.
I just searched for this and got the notification at the same time yo we telepathic Danny ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I like Maria it will stuck with me for years...it's like a long term kinda song for me...not every upbeat song lasts long or any song but this one will.
I appreciate your honest opinions so much more then a lot of other kpop reviewers who are afraid of backlash from fans and therefore sugar coat the issues within songs and EP's
I love hwasa Maria and of course mamamoo ❤❤❤
How can people hate them.. Infact they are role model for us
Love from India 🇮🇳
I was honestly waiting if you would make a review on Maria. I honestly loved the song, I think HWASA definitely adds more flavour to the song. I watched every performance of her. Like it's still stuck in my head.
Overall, Love the song.
I really like how thorough and thoughtful you are with these reviews 🙌 I felt quite the same about the title track but I haven't listened to the rest of the album yet
Nice review as always. WHY is my favorite off the album. Other songs are really good, too, LMM, especially.
You do some of the best reviews on k pop on UA-cam with objectivity, wit, and humor. I Stan your professionalism. Love your content even when I agree or don’t agree. Keep up the great album review content.
Now I can give my honest review, and I had to listen to it a few times to know if I really liked it or not. So I listened to Maria, then LMM, and Why. The break that Danny usually doesn't like, nor do I, but with this song, it worked! You can hear how easy it could be to connect the verse to the chorus had they wanted to, but it was meant to be this way. It was probably to emphasize her words! People love to hate her, but by doing this, they will only damage themselves. I didn't have to listen to Why twice, because I liked it from the start!
I feel like people expect Moomoos to get super offended, but tbh we appreciate respectful critiques...
(especially since it's such a breath of fresh air from the unjustified hate Mamamoo receives)
Im so proud of the queen hehe Love the review
*YOU DON'T NEED MY FUC*ING TROPHY* :))))))))))))))))
The more you post these episodes the more I like U Danny. These are just great, thank u and keep going
P.S: *Maria* is absolutely the best album so far, I totally agree and I give her 4.75
Danny I really like ur review, please do more. It really shows that u listened to it a lot, when u were pointing out ur likes n dislikes
"I'm bad too" is actually my favorite song from this album lol. But I guess it's good that there is something for everyone to enjoy
I hate seeing some many antis hating on Hwasa, she doesn’t deserve that, she is amazing TT
I really like this technical reviews! Helpful and interesting
finna jump on anyone who hates on this review.
the title says It's "honest review" what do you expect? sugarcoating ? :)
Yeah I haven’t seen this much hateful moomoos before srsly
I am Mamamoo stan/RBW stan, and I agree on some of your opinion. Thank you for your honest review and for giving her album a high score. ❤️
Wooow! I really like this review and in general the whole series. It's not like all reaction videos, rather than mature review. That's what I need. Also it's nice to listen to someone who has some music knowledge (he knows what tonic is).
I've heard the whole album once, but now I'll definitely dive deep into the lyrics.
Good job! Waiting for your debut 💪🏻😉
i really enjoyed your review and agree with most of it! about i'm bad too it also wasn't one of my favorites in the beginning but it's definitely a grower, kinda refreshing in the middle of such an emotional album. thank you for your review!
I love your reviews so much! 💕💕😊
Video just starts and I'm liking it even before finishing cos I love how you articulate your thoughts & opinions.
And I agree about Intro. RBW always their intro so beautiful, can't get over Mamamoo Blue's album Intro
Great review Danny, i always like to listen people who has a different opinion that i do, makes me realize of things that i didn't notice before, as a person who lives in latinamerica🇨🇴🇨🇴, i love that she used a sound very common here, it make me happy, I just wish it had lasted a little bit longer so it could fit more in the song. Hwasa is very very good, i love her style and the album was really good, thanks again for the honest review, i look forward for more videos (p.s i sorry for my bad English) 🙈🙈😊😊
I don't agree with several things but I like that this is an honest review. There are so many fake reactions on k-pop since ppl are afraid to feel the wrath of k-pop fans. I also enjoyed you discussing how smart the lyrics are in ways that English speakers would probably not catch because we don't have the depth of understanding of the Korean language. I feel like 'the love yourself' concept became popular after BTS because its empowering, powerful, and also pretty uncontroversial. No one is going to argue that ppl shouldn't love themselves. It's good but I agree that it is repetitive and I wish there were more topics covered in music. Anyways, great job Danny!
I was waiting for this 💖
I really like this EP. Danny’s opinion kinda lines up with mine. Definitely gave me some more things to appreciate.
Thanks for the honest reviews. It’s refreshing to get an unbiased opinion nowadays. Keep up the good work and look forward to your band’s debut.
Danny, as always I love your unbiased honesty and straight forwardness. I agree with pretty much everything you've said here. Apparently Hwasa was supposed to release a full length album but said that the other songs weren't quite finished to her liking. Wonder if it would've made a difference if she waited & finished ALL the songs she wanted then released a full not a mini album. My favourite track on her album was LMM and after watching the video today...it's probably gonna be my favourite song of all time. I would love to see your honest reaction/explanation to Hwasa's LMM video. Great album review Danny, keep doing you!
This review is spot on to what I was thinking. Especially with your thoughts on the track "Kidding". However, I still love this album so much. It's just soooo raw and different in comparison to other Kpop music.
I can't believe it. It feels like just yesterday when you were jokingly hinting towards you being in a band😢. Anyways great review! I love how genuine you are with your opinion and I appreciate that honesty😊
It was a really good review.like i can really understand you listened to it a lot and really thought abt
