He Made A Way In A Manger

I wrote this lyric after a friend told me about a Christmas card he received. On the front was a simple pencil sketch of a manger scene with the lyric, "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed. The little Lord Jesus..." On the inside was a simple pencil sketch of Jesus on the cross, immediately following His death with that lyric line completed, "laid down His sweet head."
