Yeah, the guy was the sound. I found out later that he was not with Elvis at one point and now I have to look and listen to those records. I just remember Scotty from the old days and eventually I didn't listen to Elvis any more. Maybe it was the time he got replaced I don't know why Elvis didn't insist on taking Scotty and the boys with him. I guess we all make mistakes in life. I wonder if he regretted it or didn't care. Did he know that Scotty was the sound of his records? Interesting question for me. I know that Scotty had that magical sound that I thought was cool. But I didn't know anything about Scotty when I heard the records in the 50s. I barely knew who Elvis was.

@@alext9067 Yeah, the band in the 70s , the guitarist was trying to copy scotty on a strat and didnt sound the same. I always felt that Scotty was always "the adult in the room" and kept things grounded!

I always thought everything Elvis ever did good, even his movie's I thought was good some better than others, even though I know Elvis really didn't like them to much but I was a kid back then and I couldn't wait to get in front of the TV when a Elvis movie came on, the first record I ever bought on my own was me and my sister collecting soda bottle for a week to get it and I was proud and all my friends was envious cause I had the first Elvis record in the neighborhood.

Elvis was under the impression he chose his own songs to record, The Colonel would give him around 30 songs which Colonel had already got the publishing rights for and out of the 30 songs Elvis would go thru the tunes and pick around 12 for the album, in his mind that is him choosing the songs for the album, in reality the 12 were songs the Colonel had chose, Elvis only chose the songs he didn't record, all those good songs like Ghetto, Kentucky Rain, Suspicious minds later on were Elvis' sole choice, he wised up, still best artist/manager team in history.....They all did mostly right though, I can't see Bieber or Ed Sheeran having their own movie and still being played daily in 2074.

to everyone saying negative things about red: look, in george's book, red comes up to george @ a golf course and tells george that he (red) wished he was never part of that book deal and was very sorry for his involvement. did any of you haters know about that?? george even said that after that book came out, he was no longer friends because of that, but has since forgiven red and so has joe and jerry and the other guys.

carolki13 After he eat the money from that book , and destroyed his best friend.Come one stop defending those bastards, you can like them and that's your opinion, but I as Elvis fan I know how upset and hurt Elvis was about that book , he was worried about what his fans gonna think about him after they read the book.I don't care if George and Joe or Jerry forgive them. I'm Elvis fan and I will never forgive them , ever!

King Creole stunk. Elvis was wild, young, and raw in Love me Tender. He was terrific in Jailhouse Rock. The songs were excellent! Loving you was so great . The songs were very good and Elvis was young, handsome, and the film was in color. King Creole: the songs stunk. The studio insisted that the music sound Dixieland! The story was long and senseless. The leading lady was unattractive and too old for Elvis. The movies pace was slow!
