I bought a Blue Indexed Goatskin and it is absolutely beautiful! The Art guilding is blue to match the leather and same for the ribbons. I have a ESV Goatskin and the LSB just took the place of my favorite Bible... GET ONE!!!

Hello David, does the legacy New Testament have Mark ch 16 v 9-20 included? Also is the size of print toward the large print? At my age that information is very important.
I have been waiting for this to come out since earlier this year when they had only N.T. and Psalms I believe. Glad it is finished and may give myself one for christmas.
I received mine this week. The translation appears solid. The binding is excellent. My only complaint about this initial production is the lack of references indicating where OT quotes in the NT are from.

Just Got my LSB Shamar Goatskin New Testament and it is lovely and probably the best Bible I have and even the faux leather option is quality in terms of materials. Do you plan on producing Large Print Wide Margins Next year come 2022 in an 11 or 12pt font??
I just received my LSB "first edition" with goatskin a few days ago. I LOVE IT! The goatskin feels smooth. Lol! I will order another one with the "giant print" and "indexing" and letters in Christ in red when they are available in 2022. Great job!

Our English-speaking pastor uses an ESV to preach. He teaches and studies with an NASB ´77 which is able to translate to LBLA when preaching/teaching in Spanish. Does anyone know if they will come out with a Spanish version of LSB?
That is an amazing looking Bible, and very cool the NASB was originally printed the same year I was born. I would love to get a hold of one of these eventually, but just not able to at this time. Been following Pastor MacArthur for years, and to hear such an endorsement is high praise indeed. I have the MacArthur Study Bible in the NKJV, and I wonder if they will offer the LSB in a study Bible as well?
I sit holding my Dark Brown Shamar Goatskin 1st edition LSB. It’s my go-to bible everyday. The LSB is the translation I rely on more than any other. As bold as John’s statement is that “this is the best Bible translation in English ever made” he may not be far off. I think it’s the best formal equivalent translation for close study and students of original languages that I’ve encountered. I hope it ends up as successful, if not more than so than the NASB. Steadfast Bibles are making top notch premium Bibles. Equal quality to Schuyler, Allan and Cambridge in my opinion. This text-block is definitely one of my favorites along with the Cambridge Clarion.

I study Hebrew and new testament Greek. The catholic church said after the translation of the vulgate that the inspiration of scripture lay in the original languages and I must agree. English bibles have caused a lot of grief through bad exegesis than I even care to think.
Oh rather fond of a luxurious Bible myself, the way and course of a Goatskin cover to realize the true meaning of God's word through feel and sensations, but I am quite disappointed that a MORE progressive league of translators did not get their hands to work on this treasure. As we, noble and mannerly, Christian men do cherish this piece of literature with our morning pour-over, twice steeped, half caffeinated, dark roast, light activated, brew of beans from the hills of Brazil, we can remember the days when the scriptures themselves mattered more than the binding and essence of leather. I find this Bible drives a man who once found himself to be a Jack of things to become a more studious individual with interest in the outward appearance, while focusing less on the building blocks of a greater understanding.
I have the edge-lines goatskin special edition I read everyday and I have the Burgundy Royal Jongbloed first edition as the family Bible. amazing translation. great addition to my nasb95.

I love my deep brown Shamar goatskin Legacy Standard Bible! I've had it since the 11th of January 2022 here in Australia, after reading it online for some weeks, (and watching the LSB videos on how it has been made) and simply must agree with you that it is a superb translation. Having been in the KIng James and New King James I can honestly say that I love this translation more. The word of God has opened up so much more than I could have previously imagined.Thank you, Pastor John, and God bless you!.

The LSB is based on the NASB which was, is, a good translation of the Old Testament and the New Testament, but in the New Testament, was based on the so-called Critical Text; which text took away quite a few well-attested words, phrases, sentences, and two long passages of the New Testament (Mark 16: 9-20 and John 7: 53- John 8: 11). I personally would favour either the NKJV or the AV (KJV) over the LSB; although the LSB and other NASBs would be something like no 3 on my list of favourite versions.
From the translators of the KJV, For is the kingdom of God become words or syllables? why should we be in bondage to them if we may be free, use one precisely when we may use another no less fit, as commodiously? Even they realized one day the KJV would need to be updated .
I feel the NKJV is a good translation for me.. 😳 However I did buy the LSB full Bible in a hard cover and it’s a very nice bible. The typesetting is just premium. Love it!

But I do appreciate many different versions also like the KJV, NASB, ESV, CSB, NET, LSB and I actually do appreciate the NRSV and the RSV as well even though they’re a bit liberal. I do own a few copies of each of those bibles in that list…But I also have the NIV 1984 addition on my shelf as well. But no Passion translation nor the Message Bible. Heck no! Just the ones on that list above for me at this point.
@@joep6023 well it’s good not to take that version seriously as it’s definitely not a credible Bible. There’s really no reason to even use it. We have so much rich resource to understand a regular credible English version of the Bible that we just have no reason to support bibles like the Message Bible or the Passion translation. That’s nothing short of using the New World Translation. I don’t mean anything against you personally so please don’t take me wrong I’m just meaning in general.

I am reading thru it daily, seeking to exegete and exposit the text. You have stated that this is the best translation in English, but you have not used it in your preaching ministry. While you have read from it in short advertisement, I have not seen you use it in your sermons. While I am KJV preferred, I have used the 77 NASB in counseling since 1994. Both you and Charles Stanley were the inspiration for said decision. Quite frankly, if you trust it, then I should also, while still being the Berean (Acts 17:11). Will you commit to using the LSB as your ultimate source? You are my modern day hero of the faith. I have followed your ministry for more than 30 years, and thru the whole covid ordeal. We have been with you in lock step thru prayer and our own ministry. May the Lord continue to bless you and the ministry of Grace Community Church for many years to come. In Jesus name!
I have to agree. If the LSB is "the best translation the English language has ever seen" then why has he not preached from it other than to advertise it? I have switched my teaching and pulpit reading and daily reading to the LSB. I would have thought he would have switched to it right away. It seems the NASB is still his preferred translation. @@jimbecker6370 We are creatures of habit. It is his traditional text. I started using the 77 NASB in 1994. It is the best of the Lockman works, until this one. Because it is a work of God, thru Pastor John MacArthur; It has earned my attention. I use it daily in my morning meditation. We exegete the text daily and read it chapter by chapter, verse by verse. So far, it is a solid translation.

What is standard about this version? There has been a Standard and will always be a Standard Bible- the KJV. Don’t be duped into spending far too much money for a version that will only be obsolete in a couple of years after an “update”.
The translation is beautiful. Please license the LSB translation out to more Bible printers, and binders ! So more people can get it in the styles they want, and need. Like large, or giant print...journaling etc. And, Highland Goatskin ... hint ; )
I have the LSB also the KJV and NKJV, it is proven difficult to go from the KJV to this new translation, I am a new Christian and in search of God's truth. Let God be true and every man a lier.
The same text family as all other corrupt modern versions. Missing verses, etc. There was a time this man preached from the AV, but this was when he was led by the holy Spirit and not by popular trend.
I'm very proud of all those who worked to put this translation out there. All glory to God. May He use this translation to deliver the Gospel to a dying world.
This bible looks good on the outside, but MacArthur obviously doesn't know what the words standard or legacy means. Standard = The definition of a standard is something established as a rule, example or basis of comparison This is a NEW bible, it can't be a standard. (But the Kings James is) Legacy = something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past the legacy of the ancient philosophers The war left a legacy of pain and suffering. How can a NEW bible be a legacy? It can't. Maybe he's in it for the money?
So what John MacArthur is saying is that he believes NO Bible version is the perfect word of God. That doesn't surprise me, because he is a lost Lordship-salvationist who doesn't believe that we are saved by the literal blood of Jesus. The King James Version is the word of God. Messing with the word of God is a dangerous thing. Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (KJV)
I noticed that you did not get a THUMBS UP - I am the one who gave it to you, that is because it seems NO ONE agrees with you 🙂. Since the LSB is the Best TRANSLATION, I wonder if that's the one That is forever settled in heaven - Psalm 119: 89. All jokes aside, it simple amazes me that Scholars, Learned Individuals can really believe that over 200 Bibles that contradict each other, as well as contradict the KJB, can all be the word of God - Something is wrong somewhere. And we are told that is how God gave his word - Give me a break. Some famous individuals just love their footnote Bible. An entire verse is missing with a footnote "Later / other manuscripts include this verse, does not seem to bother MOST Christians. Thank you for standing up for the Word of God.
Now why would humble John make the LSB, glad you asked. The poor humble John is a money grubber of mammoth proportions. He is filthy rich while pretending to be a common man. LSB just another money stream for the humble one.
Look at Acts 3:13 and 3:26 . My KJV Bible says " Son Jesus" NOT servant. Acts 4:27 and 4:30 in KJV says thy holy child Jesus. There may be other changes too. Removing "Son of God" (the deity of Jesus Christ) is a BIG change. Just because a bible looks beautiful on the outside, does not make it beautiful on the inside. God's WORDS matter.
What we need next is an LSB audio book read by John MacArthur, followed by an LSB MacArthur study bible.

The translation is beautiful. Please license the LSB translation out to more Bible printers, and binders ! So more people can get it in the styles they want, and need. Like large, or giant print...journaling etc. And, Highland Goatskin ... hint ; )

Is Jesus words marks in red?
I have the LSB also the KJV and NKJV, it is proven difficult to go from the KJV to this new translation, I am a new Christian and in search of God's truth. Let God be true and every man a lier.
It's really weird to hear Dr. MacArthur selling something.

NA 27th and 28th editions supplemented with variant reading by Tyndale house and SBL as well as the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia
The same text family as all other corrupt modern versions. Missing verses, etc. There was a time this man preached from the AV, but this was when he was led by the holy Spirit and not by popular trend.

I'm very proud of all those who worked to put this translation out there. All glory to God. May He use this translation to deliver the Gospel to a dying world.
This bible looks good on the outside, but MacArthur obviously doesn't know what the words standard or legacy means.
Standard = The definition of a standard is something established as a rule, example or basis of comparison
This is a NEW bible, it can't be a standard. (But the Kings James is)
Legacy = something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past the legacy of the ancient philosophers The war left a legacy of pain and suffering.
How can a NEW bible be a legacy? It can't.
Maybe he's in it for the money?
So what John MacArthur is saying is that he believes NO Bible version is the perfect word of God. That doesn't surprise me, because he is a lost Lordship-salvationist who doesn't believe that we are saved by the literal blood of Jesus. The King James Version is the word of God. Messing with the word of God is a dangerous thing. Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (KJV)
I noticed that you did not get a THUMBS UP - I am the one who gave it to you, that is because it seems NO ONE agrees with you 🙂. Since the LSB is the Best TRANSLATION, I wonder if that's the one That is forever settled in heaven - Psalm 119: 89. All jokes aside, it simple amazes me that Scholars, Learned Individuals can really believe that over 200 Bibles that contradict each other, as well as contradict the KJB, can all be the word of God - Something is wrong somewhere. And we are told that is how God gave his word - Give me a break. Some famous individuals just love their footnote Bible. An entire verse is missing with a footnote "Later / other manuscripts include this verse, does not seem to bother MOST Christians. Thank you for standing up for the Word of God.

Now why would humble John make the LSB, glad you asked. The poor humble John is a money grubber of mammoth proportions. He is filthy rich while pretending to be a common man. LSB just another money stream for the humble one.

Look at Acts 3:13 and 3:26 . My KJV Bible says " Son Jesus" NOT servant. Acts 4:27 and 4:30 in KJV says thy holy child Jesus. There may be other changes too. Removing "Son of God" (the deity of Jesus Christ) is a BIG change. Just because a bible looks beautiful on the outside, does not make it beautiful on the inside. God's WORDS matter.
