That is my favorite two inch snub nose. I prefer it over the Chief Special although both were carried way back when. The Detective Special predates the Chief Special. Classics like these would probably be too expensive today brand new. What did I shoot and carry back then in the '80s? My second pistol was a Taurus Model 85 as a backup to my first pistol, a USGI Thompson Auto Ordnance 1911A1 .45ACP. Then the wonder nine craze hit at the end of the '80s. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your post on the Colt Detective Special. That's a beautiful firearm. My first handgun was a Colt Trooper .357 Magnum purchased during R&R while patrolling South Vietnam. Bye the way, I prefer a heavier handgun.
