I've heard things about this game. I can't imagine myself playing it, but damn it is very entertaining to watch someone else play it. It's like a movie.
The Sinking City is the worst game I ever loved. The combat and gameplay are uninspired and severely lacking, but the story...! I can tolerate the terrible mechanics if it means getting to those brilliant bits of world building and an overarching plot. I understand if other people hate this game, I can understand that A LOT. But I love this game too much to not play it.

The devs obviously lacked some knowledge with weapons as they treat gunpowder and cordite as separate ingredients and the shell casing had a hole in the primer but no primer hole in the actual casing itself.
i think you just noticed it but this has been happening since forever. Take a look at games like monster hunter, tera, witcher ...etc They have 3 or 4 sceletons for all their monsters the rest is just resize and different skin.
I wanna play it bad but bills come first lol, im a huge lovecraft fan and everything ive watched of this game seems like the closest to a shadow over innsmouth/call of cthulu done well in a game. Excited its getting a ps5 upgrade, i honestly hope ot gets a sequel set in the same world with different characters

There are a lot of buildings with floor holes In addition, I know that the city is under the influence of The old ones. But why is it rain all the time, and yet, noone in there use an umbrella or a rain coat? It reminds me of the Heavy Rain, and does the killer from that game moves to the sinking city too?
I am on the way to finish my Sherlock Holmes the Awakened on my Switch, and I was a little shocked to know that the game is in the Cthulhu’s universe. Now I plan to go for this game after the Sherlock Holmes finished. I tried for a little bit at the beginning and dang this game’s atmosphere scares me. I even searched Call of Cthulhu and I found there is something about Cthulhu’s vibe that always send chills down my spine, an unexplainable fear from the bottom of my heart. So far what i've seen from this game, the dev totally wasted the lovecraftian elements. There is no psychological dread or subtlety, the horrendous animations, also do it no favor. No comparison to what much older games have been achieving, like Call of Cthulhu or Dead Space.

Might've been fucking bugged though, because I did NOT get any dark shadows running away from the fisherman house like this video shows! I didn't even get a pop up saying the guy fled or whatever. This game had terrible mechanics but I loved it anyway. What finally stopped me was the game glitched and I couldn't progress any further until I found a clue that wasn't there anymore.
@@ducklingduck6027 Call of Chtulhu never had enough budget to be properly finished. The result is roughly half the game is pretty bad and the ending is extremely rushed and doesn't say much outside of "the game is over, go away now".

You pass and overlook everything, I suggest, if you are interested in making the videos more interesting, that you look at the environment and details. Not to mention any aiming game is better played with mouse, you will always be more sharp with your aim, allow you to make swift turns and the movement will be less smooth which makes it hard to actually see
Really hyped for this game. This looks like what I had hoped Call of Cthulhu would be...yet sadly wasnt. It was a'aight for a game at a 20$ price tag and not 60 like it actually released as. This game however looks like it justifies the full price. Well depending upon how long the main campaign lasts.
Throgmorton has the same racist feelings for the Innsmouthers as they have for him. Although I will say Innsmouthers aren't blessed by the Sea they look like that because of Dagon and Cthulhu and I suspect Mr. Throgmorton may have the same esk type dealings.

Sorry, just wasn't a fan of Atreus and the whole combat dynamic. Ruins it for me. Anyway, this was 10 bucks, and I had like 2 weeks to fill. It's uhh... it's pretty bad lol. If it would've launched around the Fallout 3 Era, then we'd be talking about how great it was, today. But, you do get used to how shitty the mechanics, combat, and graphics are, and eventually fall into the rhythm of the game and intrigued by the story. This video helped me from losing my mind a few times because it's easy to miss something or not be able to find something, and it's just not worth your (actual) life searching for it. Well remember the town the game is in had a few parts where they said they legit don't care about Race/gender in it so, crazy cult town was a bit ahead of the times in a good way.
