Do this clutch pull truck out of gear rev engine about 10th throtle clutch again put in next gear. That is how to double clutch. Another good trick get all the gears shifted befofe 20 mph. I dro e a 52 ford 3/4 ton withba very simalar engine and transmission. The main difference it was a Valve in head 6. Firt yaar fof the head engine same block.
Please don't rev. That engine when it's no under a load. If you want to Rev it put it in gear and then it's under load. Any old time mechanic worth his sand would tell you the same thing.
@dieseldock8936 When the engine is raving without a load it can cause components within the engine to loten. The engine was not warmed up completely. It better to put the engine in gear after a brief warm up then it will build tolerance under a load. Truck engines are designed to work under a load.
