I agree with you. Teaching method needs improving in Tibetan schools. I went to Tibetan govt school but my tibetan is still below average bc teaching method was so boring and it was more about how to finish all the modules before 1st, 2nd and final exam. it was like dragging all the way just to finish off the course. hence, students ended up memorising everything just to pass the exam. I wish tibetan books design for schools are more practical oriented and less intense.I wish reading short story books are given as assignment and summarise in their own words. I think reading should be given priority than writing to base that strong foundation to attract interest in tibetan language

Hi Beri Prince la, thank you so much for the wonderful insights and advises, I absolutely admire you and enjoy watching your vlogs, very educative. I have a quick question regarding the word "homework" in Tibetan. I hear many Tibetans using the word " ནང་ལས། " for homework...shouldn't be the correct word " རང་སྦྱོང་། or ནང་སྦྱོང་། "? "ནང་ལས" sounds more like "house work" such as cleaning, tyding up etc. This word " ནང་ལས། " isn't very specific to homework in terms of education and can be misunderstood or cause confusion. Kindly let me know your thoughts. Many thanks. Tashi Deleg.
