Thank you so much for playing our game!
We'll drop a big update of the demo very (very) soon: hopefully this Monday.
Also it's not super clear in the game, but you can combine the sun power with some objects 👀
Can I ask what media influenced the design of the game? Just want to know if the science fantasy and post apoc feels are intentional.
@@EliJahTebbens Hello! To be honest, we don't have much influences when it comes to the visuals and context of the game. So I guess the science fantasy and post apoc feels are not intentional. Sorry 😅
We need more games with little buttons that do stuff, but not necessarily anything useful!
Yes.. without skill and strategy then Tom will play perfect every time
At the end of this video all i could think is
"Imagine trying to eat with all these teeth upgrades"
God the art direction is just fantastic.
Really reminds me of that artist Felix colgrave is it? Who animated double king ?
I was just anout to comment that exact same thing! Especially the long necked monster telling you to wish list this game really radiates Felix Coldgrave wibes.
Yep, Felix Colgrave! Love his work, he keeps putting out great videos!
Yes, and some of the fun sound effects lean toward him as well
Yes, I just searched for "double king" to see if someone else noticed it, too! It was my first thought when the game started.
Same thought, also perhaps some of the Monty Python art style?
Yup, Troika through and through, also 'The Dying Earth', 'Metamorphosis Alpha', and 'Adventure Time'
The Adventure Time comparison is not one I would have arrived at myself, but there is definitely something to it. Cool.
@@EvilLobsterKing Adventure time is the most well known modern example of post apocalyptic science-fantasy! I guess Nausicaa is also in the genre, although it's lower on the 'fantasy' end.
Honestly the art style makes me think of late medieval art more than anything else, but I think that's my own gap in media knowledge more than anything else. I wonder if this game will incorporate more elements of sci-fi or if it's less inspired by what you've listed given the hand presses, dice, and bubble buttons seem like the most advanced things in the game.
Also worth saying that the medieval/renaissance periods are a blind spot in any historical study I've done so my opinion is entirely vibe-based.
@@daviddereberry7596 I mean, I was just thinking of Troika cause Tom said it. The art style is similar to that of troika, but the other media I mention is just key science-fantasy.
The art style reminds me of Felix Colgrave animations like Double King!
Such an amazing art style.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1650
Damn, this is a really cool game :D fantastic idea and execution, but god, the art style, amazing.
Personally, reminds me alot of Medieval, Monty Python and Miyazaki art, but I can definitely see the Troika in it (A game I am definitely looking into now)
Some really fun design elements, one example being that I really like how the Dice can both be used to reroll the Shop and the Level :D
I do hope we get more, and so very much an excited for the full game :D
I freaking loved this! I can't wait to see Tom play more! Fastest 15 minutes ever! What a neat concept, and like Tom, I adore the art style. So unique! Could this be the next Peglin?
Cool game and loved that you shouted out Troika, and now you've got me hoping you'll run a game of it on Mystery Quest at some point.
Haven't played *_Troika!_* before, but now I also have a new RPG system to look into. Thanks Tom!!
Simlilar art style to Flying Circus, reminds me of Fantastic Planet as well
I was thinking of Troika too, espcailly with how bizarre everything feels
that was amazing! I definitely agree, the art style and presentation of this game is fantastic. Very drawing. Looking forward to it
Excellent intro, I'm already hooked.
It does have a really fun art style.
I’m really liking these roguelike games and the art style is amazing defo can’t wait for more
Collecting teeth to give you power?!?! Danhausen would love this game.
heyyy, we played troika that one time... I think the character I rolled was this crazy ass key-and-lock based paladin guy? and there was like a ton of fun and oddly specific professions to roll like that
Traveling underground to find the sun? Solaire?
Luck is my........name!
It reminded me of the look of the board game feudum a bit
ayy troika reference! also the art is wonderful!
This looks awesome and totally agree on the Troika similarity. I'm really hot to run a Troika game one of these days, but not sure i have enough interest in my groups. Yet ;) Regardless, definitely gonna wishlist this one!
I hope to see the fun boy at a later date.
What an amazing art style, gives me cup head vibes
Good stuff! Hope this gets some love.
Something about the art style reminds me of SuperJail
Hey Tom - you should check out Tactical Breach Wizards. I don't think the demo is well suited to a video, but I figure you'll enjoy the game.
Cool game
was that a grayfruit goblin
I need to know what those buttons do
Phantom Dust when?
Did Felix colgrave do the art? Hope this becomes a series
Looks to be by a person called chario_spirale
If you like this game, keep an eye out for my favorite sequel game in the cesto series called:
"In-"
😂😂😂
Also, not Tom _immediately_ forgetting about the 2 chests in a row weakens all monsters 😂
Classic!
_Chef's Kiss_
instead of this game you might just start gambling, there is not much mechanical difference to slots
This game seems to be HEAVILY inspired by art of @FelixColgrave
